Few hours into this already - is easily the best looking Switch game so far released. DOn't worry about the impression you get of the combat from the first 2-3 hours of the game, afterward your options greatly increase. It's like playing a living anime. Of course Fire Emblem 3 Houses is the best Switch, but this one is the best looking.

Astral Chain is different from most of PlatinumGames such as Bayonetta and Nier Automata. It's hard to describe a Platinum game unless you played any of the titles. I would say it's less polished than Nier Automata and the controls take time getting used to. If you never played a Platinum Game, Astral Chain would be a good starter.

Hats off to Platinum Games for establishing a new IP. The game oozes quality from the get go and is adrenaline pumping and immersive. The combat feels great and the gameplay is unique. I would recommend checking some videos and seeing if this new action game from Platinum is your cup of tea. Easily one of the best games of 2019.

Amazing game and great characters in this epic adventure

If you like Platinum games you'll probably also like this. The combat is flashy and awesome, and you do cool things for the sake of doing cool things, because they are cool. It isn't combat all the time like Bayonetta though, as there are investigations to do and secrets to find. Like cats. There are collectible cats.

If you are a fan of Bayonetta, you will definitely have a great time with this game! Although the combat is slightly different, the moves are just as fluid as many as of their other games if not better. This game feels right at home on the Nintendo switch, and even play great in portable mode. Highly recommended!

This game is just awesome! From the unique looking graphics and unique action mechanics thanks to the Astral Chain controlling Legions. There is a good amount of learning curve before you can totally dominate your legion and character, but it's very satisfying. Honestly one of the best looking Switch games.

Great game and one of the best from Platinum Games, they truly know how to put together Action games together. The game has a lot of charm and personality. It's sad that it only runs at 30fps so hoping that a Switch Pro might change things in the future.

This game is pretty awesome. I was not sure I would like it but I got it in the mail, started playing and could not put it down for about a week! Still haven't done everything. So the games packed with stuff to do and let's be real switch is not loaded with great titles but this sure is one!

I haven’t beat the game yet but I’m probably at 75%. Everything about this game is great, graphics n all that. What the game has in cheesy makes up in action and overall fun gameplay. Feels like something that would’ve came out in the GameCube era. That’s a good thing . It’s all about style and fun.

Astral Chain is stylish and fun. There are plenty of hidden secrets and side missions to occupy your curiosity and the combat is satisfying, though it takes a bit to get used to all of the mechanics. The only reason this game gets 4 stars is because of the platforming mechanics. There are puzzles that require some tricky footing with your legion and the finicky-ness of the mechanics will result in you having to redo a section several times. Excluding those parts the rest of the game is fantastic.

Is an interesting game wig really fun and fantastic combat. You have your astral attached to you by a chain. Which makes her all kinds of wicked cool combat in cutscenes with you and your astral. The only downfall is the platforming, which seems clunky and can be difficult that sometimes.

Astral Chain is a fun new IP that offers some fun fighting mechanics as well as detective work to find the truth behind the story. Great game I'd recommend to fans of Platinum Games previous games like Bayonetta.

Really fun game, high marks from reviewers seems to be accurate. Really digging the game and the unique combat. Sometimes it can be overwhelming trying to remember and utilize all the different combat mechanics. The times when you luck into amazing combos feels awesome.

Astral Chain is a wonderfully fun and ambitious action title with a great gameplay hook that improves the more you master the basics. It’s yet another example of why PlatinumGames continues to be one of the best in crafting a unique action-adventure hack-and-slash.

Very good hack ‘n’ slash game. Platinum has done it again

I had never heard of Astral Chain before, but saw it was on sale, so I decided to pick it up while it was cheap. Glad I did. It's a simple, action-packed game with an interesting story and a unique art style. It's very anime-esque in appearance and concept. You get to customize your character and then send them out to fight monsters/aliens as a futuristic police officer. If you're a casual fan of sci-fi and rpgs (not turn-based), you'll probably like this.

I love this game, it reminds me of that video where the guy is like Astral Chain! Some stay dry but others feel the pain! Like this game, you play as a character trying to stay dry, while delivering the pain to your enemies! Just remember to move away from the mic to breath.

Very cool game! Just a little difficult to understand at first, but once you really get into it, it's fantastic.
