If you love platformers, this is an absolute buy(especially if you have been a PlayStation fan all your life). Even if you not a fan of the genre, Astro's Playroom(free game with your PS5) is a great litmus test to see if you will like the game or not. Crystal clear image quality, great performance at a stable 60 fps, and simple controls with creative level designs - I really can't think of too many faults for this game. Maybe that sometimes sprinting doesn't always seem to work unless you press the analog stick hard? Just to note the game is easy overall, but there are some challenge levels that will test you.

There’s nothing more that can be said other than Fantastic!! It’s very addicting. These stages are all nostalgic and game the game is very easy to learn controls and play efficiently right after you load it up!! Easily in my opinion one of the best games on PlayStation!!

Just an absolute masterpiece from level design to graphics to controller and haptics to Dolby Atmos implementation if you have a proper system with ceiling mounted or in-ceiling speakers. 10/10.

This game was really enjoyable to play. The add-on game for the PlayStation 5 was a great way to bring up nostalgia and show the story of PlayStation with how far they’ve come. With this game I feel that it doesn’t lose its touch even though it focuses more on itself than PlayStation. It’s like an arcade type of style that makes it fun for everyone to play!

This game uses the full potential of the Dual Sense controller. Not many games take advantage of these extra features. I wish other companies would take the time to do the same, but it could be due to time constraints and the features just may not add any extra functionality. This is a great platformer that reminds me of Super Mario Sunshine. Running, jumping, collecting coins, you name it, its all included. It's also fun to go through PS's history as you go from stage to stage. It was well developed. I recommend this for a good kids game.

This game is very fun like Mario 64 fun with cool boss battles, easter eggs, and fun platforming for all ages. This game really shines with it's controller capturing unique sounds and foot steps coming out of the speaker everytime astro walks. You will have a lot of fun exploring every unique level and rescue all of the bots. This is one of the best original ps5 games and a must for any gamer's collection.

Perfect gift for my 8 year old who had mastered Astro's Playroom. Same type of gameplay, but much more expansive.

Astro Bot is a joy to play. Its not over involved so might not speak to hardcore gamers but its a fun, easy to get into game. Well constructed and well integrated with the ps5 controller features including vibrations and sounds. Just so much fun.

The bottom line here is that Astro Bot is just a fun game, and it includes a lot of Playstation Easter eggs like the first iteration that came packed with the PS5. While searching through various worlds, you can search and find new areas that are visually stunning like eye candy. There appears to be many levels, and the challenges increase with difficulty, so finding all the lost bots will take time, but the overall feel of the game is simply one of fun. It has a slight retro feel to games like Crash Bandicoot or Sonic World, but with a fresh look and better gameplay. It is a great platformer and well done by Sony.

Astro Bot is one of the most genuinely fun games Playstation has ever published. The game's use of the DualSense haptic system is fantastic, and it works very well with headphones if you decide to use them or a speaker/soundbar system. The replayability factor for this game is there, as there are lots of Easter Eggs and hidden worlds to discover. The characters are fun for all ages - very much a modern Mario-type game for the PS. Just because it's a cute and fun game, don't be fooled. There are a lot of challenging levels and bosses that'll keep you coming back for more. The pricepoint is excellent as well!

What a fun game. You really should buy it. But it is very short. I wish it was 12-20 hours longer. For a game this expensive, you were expecting more.

Bought it originally for my daughter but then found myself being unable to put it down. Works well on both the PS5 as well as the portal. 10/10 would recommend

Wow, where do I even begin? This is hands down one of the best games for the PS5, period. It’s a fantastic expansion from Astro’s Playroom, with rock-solid gameplay and stunning graphics. I didn’t experience a single crash. The levels are super fun, and while the game is fairly easy, there are still some challenges on certain levels. It also makes great use of the DualSense controller, giving you feedback that adapts to your environment. Team Asobi really nailed it with this one! I highly recommend it to anyone who owns a PS5—this game is a must-have.

It won 2024 GOTY and Astro Bot was a game I had been waiting for. Definitely worth the wait especially playing the version that comes with the PS5. Amazing graphics, control, and gameplay. This game really uses the capabilities of the new PS5 DualSense features like haptic feedback. Wish more games would utilize more haptic feedback.

Only played a couple hours but it is a great game. I would call it a gamers game. I purchased mainly because of winning game of the year and instantly see why. I have a 2 year old they dont pay much attention to games I play daily(Madden, BF2042, College football, CyberPunk) but when I loaded this and soon as it came on it instantly caught her eye and interest.
