Vary satisfying huge difference in pst headphones I’ve had nd the Miami works so well.

These are a huge improvement to the 3rd Gen A40. The DAC I believe is the reason behind the improvement. Visually the dials, layout, and having just 1 cable to the headset facing you looks better. Sound quality wise I can tell a difference just using the factory set presets. Directional sound and clarity. Specs appear to be the same but it does seem to be better. Build quality has not changed compared to the 3rd gen. I contacted Astro support line to get some software support and they responded under a hour even though they say 1 day response. If you already have the Gen 3 its may not be worth IMO paying another $250 but well worth upgrading otherwise. I think the one thing I don't like compared to Gen 3 model is the mic mute button. Its a sliding switch. I prefer the button on the Gen 3. Ill update if my opinion changes.

Love these headphones great sound quality, and very comfortable for a long period of time.

From the moment you open the box you notice that these headsets are high quality. I’ve used Turtle Beaches since 2009 when I played on xbox360. I thought the sound on those was good but man, on Astro’s it is 100x better. The only problem I had with them was that when I first started using them my mic kept cutting off when I talked. Turns out it’s because you have to update the mixamp thru a computer/laptop and change the mic settings from Home to Streaming. After that my mic no longer cut off. I’ve had them for a week and so far I really enjoy how comfortable the ear-cups are, and despite the fact that the Astro’s are heavier than any turtle beach I’ve owned before, it’s not really a con. So far I’m happy and satisfied with my purchase.

The mixing, the comfort, and the customization make it worth the money for sure!

The best headphones I have ever owned. Only thing is is the cord, but you do get use to it. Definitely a hook up and leave item, not really designed to take with you, great sound and durable.

Very comfortable, audio is amazing, overall a great purchase if you're heavy into gaming like myself. Would recommend to a friend or any gamer looking to upgrade their headset.

My original a40 went out I had them for about 4-6 years. These are way better and a lot more comfortable not to mention the sound is much better too

Ohh man this is the very best headset ive ever owned..the sound is perfect the left and right split effects are awesome especially playing call of duty or any game thats action packed..and for movies it feels like your in the movie theater would highly recomend for any gamer

I absolutely love this headset. It works perfectly up to this day and I've tried 3 other brands of headsets and these are the most comfortable to use without missing out on sound or options

At first i was a bit nervous to spend so much on headphones but they are amazing the way you can control the setting on the headphones an the quality are top of the line for any gamer

I hear everything so clearly in warzone ! So much better than the hyper x i used to use. This headset is so comfortable for long hours of steaming. Best clearest sound quality ever.

Outstanding comfort and incredibly open sound stage. Set-up was a breeze and I love that I did not have alternate in the settings between audio connection to the my sound system or the headset. Ultimately, I returned the set for two reason 1) I set about 8 feet away from an 82 inch screen when playing PS4 and dealing with the cords got to be a pain; and 2) I had occasional bouts of sound cutting out of one of the speakers that would be remedied by fiddling with the cord connection at the point of the headset. If dealing with the wires is not an issue and you are looking for one of the most comfortable and immersive headsets for your PS4, this might be the right choice for you.

Best Headset. I bought this headset after using Steelseries, and TurtleBeach. What you pay is what you get. Super comfortable for my head and great audio quality.

Hands down the best headset for gaming. Last time I purchased Astro A40’s were in 2012 and they are still kicking. Most comfortable headset as well. I don’t feel ear fatigue ever with these.

My personal favorite headset. I’ve had the previous gen and wearing those down I switched around using hyper xs which are great but I feel work better on pc. Also turtle beach’s with poor quality construction, and the official Sony golds and plats. I feel the a40tr has slightly better sound quality over the a50s. Unless wireless is a requirement then a40s are way better than a50s. These 2019 v2 seem to be a tad better on clarity and highs imo. I hear good things about the steel series but I find their aesthetics less appealing.

I love this headset. Originally had the A50s when I played on PS4 but bought these when I switched to PC. Mixamp is wonderful and easy to use and sound quality is terrific
