I can hear footsteps loud and clear without all the other loud noises getting in the way. This headset is the reason I win games

Great headset if you get the mixer with it.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to replace a Turtle Beach 700 while they were in for replacement. They are very comfortable and sound great but not having volume controls on the headset doesnt work for me.

Still the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reviewing these on behalf of my son who uses them with his XBox One X. He used the Plantronic RIG 400 set for a while which are great, but wanted to upgrade. Tried a couple pair, including a HyperX Cloud II, but they didn't seem to be an improvement over what he had. Got these for him and he is very happy with them. Only slight complaint would be that the cord provided is too long...like do you really need a 6 foot cable to go from the headset to the controller that is always in your hands?

Excellent gaming headset!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the nicest gaming headset I have ever purchased. I'm using it on PC and the sound quality is great. I also appreciate the ability to customize it. The ear cushions can be removed and hare held on by magnets, as are the speaker back covers. The covers can be swapped so that the microphone can be plugged in on either side of the headset. The construction feels sturdy despite being mostly plastic and the cushions are very comfortable during long gaming sessions. The cord is also removable/replaceable and seems to resist tangling pretty well. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Forget turtle beach
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned several brands of gaming headsets and Astro has been on par with theirs. Obviously I own the astro mixamp and wow these sound really good. They are very soft and hopefully last me another 5 years at least. I had the a50s before this one and they are identical in sound. The reason I switched to this one, is no more having to charge the headphones while playing long hours. The only flaw I found is that the mic is too good at canceling most noise, especially my voice, which I later found out it was the mixamp and not the headset , simply had to plug it into the computer and changed the mode to home on the mic. I've owned turtle beach and they don't come close to the richness of the sound. I've had sharkoon and I felt they weren't as good as astro.

Recommend, but may take a while to set up
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I consider myself a tech savvy person, but for some reason, this was not a set up and play. I already had the Astro A-50’s so I expected a similar setup. With the Astro software already downloaded, I expected at some point it would work. I never could get it to work through the Astro software but with a little tickering, and about 2 hours of time, Windows 10 finally recognized the headset. It sounds superb, and is comfortable to wear for hours. and I’m definitely ordering the mod kit. This is the best wired headset, for about 1/3 the price of the a-50. I would recommend it!

Pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good headset, it gets loud if you use the ps5 controller to plug in. If you use a ps4 controller to play Warzone though, the volume may be lower than you may like. You can still hear everything around you pretty well though. If you don't mind a slightly lower volume when using a ps4 controller then it's a good buy. The band on your head does get uncomfortable when used for more than an hour, but you can replace it with something more padded if you'd like. The look and color is cool. I'd say the sound and quality is better than a $99 headset. The mic is also flexible and clear.

Use these and be more alert more aware!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are my second pair. Different color this time around. The sounds in game can be heard very loud if you need it that way. The Mike and mute functions well. The quality of sounds may differ from different games pending on your preference. You can try this headphone out and if you not convinced that they fit your needs. Just return them. To me, I've stuck with them because they are really really good. I've used them for my Xbox one and PS4. I play Battlefield, Division, Call of Duty, Ghost recon, Gears of War, Titan Fall, Halo, ROGUE, and many other games. What I hear I can react to quickly, and that's a big advantage.

Great headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is amazing for any competitive game. Fits really good and can wear them for hours. Lack of any kind of physical volume controll and the mic could be better.

A40’s
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the Xbox 360 days, I’ve been rocking Astro A40’s. This is my third pair (due to wanting to change colors). When I saw the X edition, I knew I had to get it. I like blue/red combos. Originally, I thought this was black and red, so be forewarned. If you’ve run Astro headsets, you know the sound is great and the quality is great. For those that haven’t run Astro’s, I encourage you to find another headset that sounds good, looks good, and feels good on your dome for long gaming sessions. For me, Astro A40’s are the only headset that checks all three of those boxes. Buy a pair, you won’t regret it. Plus, they last a long time, at least from my experience.

High Quality Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, good fit, and high quality construction. I believe there is the ability to replace parts that might break or wear out which means it should last a long time.

Volume control is in settings hard to maneuver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality and very comfortable. But I found it difficult to maneuver to volume controls. It’s inside the settings after you pause the game

They are a bit thought but in a comfortable way.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are not to heavy and they have a tight fit. But they are very comfortable so I can ignore the fat that they are a bit heavy. Also I love the color and the mic is very clear.

A hard NO for your money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.$148 for a headset, you’d think if there were issues with it that I might be people being picky , right? At 3x the cost of my other headset I thought this upgrade would be everything I wanted. The sound quality is very very good, microphone quality equally as good. The most comfortable headset I’ve worn. - Now for the dumb - Noise leaks. Anyone within arms reach can head what I hear clearly. The vents on the ear pieces allow a lot of sound to escape No noise canceling I don’t mean it doesn’t have the feature. It doesn’t advertise that. But the same vents that let cool air in and what I hear out allows me to hear every noise outside of my headphones like I’m not wearing them. How useless when I can hear everything outside. Volume When you buy these it makes sure to tell you not to play volumes too loud except. NO VOLUME CONTROL ON THE HEADSET!! Fine if the controlling device had volume, but there isn’t a volume on my Xbox. So how does this make sense. When I contacted the company about it they just tried to sell me another $50 adapter. What a joke. Do more research than I did. Spend the money elsewhere.

Excellent Sound, Very Comfortable!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, This is a great headphone with good sound quality, durable construction, and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My only complaint is that it does not have a volume control on the headset. You have to adjust through settings on the playstation which is incredibly inconvenient and disruptive if not impossible when watching movies/playing games with varrying sounds. I.E. can't manually adjust between quiet speech and loud explosions, etc.
