This headset would be perfect were it not for it completely dying and not turning on on after 2 weeks of use. I took it back and got a new one without a problem and seems to be working perfectly. It has the best sound I've heard even as a standard pair of headphones and they sound absolutely amazing during gaming sessions! It's also COMPLETELY WIRELESS!

If you are looking for easy set and loud and clear sound for gaming, this is you head set. Tried 150.00 range and sound was very low.

I bought these for my boyfriend for the price I think it worth it my boyfriend loves them I tried them and they are really good.

Yep I was crazy enough to drop 300 on a headset but these are worth it. Total surround sound and the audio will lag out sometimes but ever since I put my base on a higher table it works great. I love Astro headsets. They are way more comfortable than turtle beaches. Plus also these charge when the PlayStation 4 is in stand by mode on a nice base.

1st off its expensive. Is it worth it? I say yes. Coming from a Turtle Beach 500x the A50 are a better product. In my opinion.

When my Turtle Beach headset stopped working, I did a lot of research before this purchase. Astro's headset is quite pricey but i am glad I pulled the trigger. The sound quality is phenomenal and they are totally comfortable. The only issue I have is that occasionally when I put them in the charger, they can be difficult to seat properly.

This is my first review on any product, i had an astro a50 first gen that impressed me for 3 years. So i made the jump for getting another one. Quickly realized it was a mistake but when you need a headset you need a headset. The voice output consistently breaks up and is only fixed by shutting the headset down after someone said its messed up again. Turn it back on and your good to got for a little while. No mute button? Seriously? Do not wear this headset while your ps4 is turning on or off it will emmit an extremly loud pitched sound that is way more dcb then anything should be. The charge stand is trash you have to move it around for a minute to get the charge lights right. If you had it slightly off or it got shifted it will fully drain. The headset is comfortable at least. Using the stock firmware is not a good idea. The older version you could set the audio from the chat/game more to one side. It will always make game volume primary regardless of how you want it. My headset now does not turn on. The base doesnt connect to the headset that is charged. I have already begun the replacement process and am waiting on more info from astro

I've had these Astro A50 headphones for several months now. Pros: Well made comfortable clear communication Cons: overly complex chat vol adj turns game audio up/down, rather than chat audio rubber coating peels These have worked fairly well. Half the time I can't hear and it's because I haven't adjusted them properly, but everytime I get the audio settings where I like it.. it resets to default after shutting off. Default has the game-audio volume half way down (Not master volume), so everytime I start gaming I can hardly hear the first half hour until I remember to readjust (which isn't easy with the button options they've chosen). Some preset audio choices would be nice...game mode, movie mode, etc.. or maybe gaming specific presets.. RPG, first person shooter ( heighten sound effects & lower cinema/music)

The problem with this headset is that it continually cuts out.. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before purchasing this headset and that is on me. The problem is that my wifi in my home is interfering with this headset communicating to its base, and there is nothing I can really do about it. When contacting their technical support they said to try it and someone else's house.. Thats not an option.. if it works there and doesn't work well in my home, what are they going to do about it? So then why even ask... They use that as an option to tell me that there is nothing they can do about it.. Unfortunately I have disposed of the box or else I would return it to Best Buy and get my money back.. this headset is horrible for connectivity.. Now I gave it two stars because when this headset is working it does sound amazing.. very good quality in sound but I feel like that is sort of the case with almost any headset these days. So again, I would hesitate if you have wifi in your home before buying this headset because it may not work well depending on how good your wifi works I guess... and further, if you think about it, if the headset is working good then it might be causing problems with your wifi causing you internet lag and issues.. so why even take that chance? Sorry about the bad review, I leave good ones when I have good experiences and bad ones otherwise.. Hope this helps you make your decision before forking out a lot of money.

This was a birthday gift for my grown son. Gaming is a hobby and after work stress reliever for him. Also something he can do for relaxation when the kids have gone to sleep! I knew he would love a wireless headset, and I checked all the reviews before purchasing it. It was expensive, but worth it - he says it is everything he hoped for.

would definitely recommend to anyone who considers them self a gamer. the surrounding sound is amazing, easy to hear people from any direction and instantly know where. The only thing I was wish for would be Bluetooth like in the higher end turtle beaches but unfortunately those don’t match the comfort of Astros.

I searched lot of headphones for my ps4. I even tries astro A50. But it's kind of tight to my head and it's over heating. This hyperx cloud is very comfortable to wear for longtime. Easy to setup 7.1 in ps4. And in sounds really awesome. After long search I got my best headphone under my budget. Great product.

Simple, what are you looking for? Wireless or wired? You normally sacrifice sound with wireless headphones but with these A50's, that's not the case. The difference is very minuscule unless you're playing pro competitively, then you want to get the whatever advantage you can get. After owning these older A50's, I began to notice my mic would hang a little low and it was pretty annoying. Thankfully, I purchased the GSP with it and I got a new set. Haven't had any issues yet but there's a newer model which I'm sure they probably fixed this issue with it. The base is also smaller which is very convenient. If you have the mic issue and didn't get the GSP, you can wrap a rubber band around the base of the mic and that fixes the issue for you, just an FYI. I use these mainly for Rainbow Six Siege where sound is very important but watching movies is also very good on these or even music. You can customize them how every you want.

Amazing sound!! Charging station isn’t all that great. The headphones have to be placed perfectly or they won’t charge.

I can't say how much I love these can here all the foot steps around me from such a distant must have for gamer of all ages

Astro A50's are the perfect headset. I had the previous generation A50's after trying the TB Elite 800's. These are better with the improvements Astro has made. Making them modular(mod kit), charging base, better battery life, just to name a few. I use to be on the Turtlebeach bandwagon. The Elites don't hold a candle to the A50's, period.
