It is the best bang for the buck right not but with some drawbacks. The touchscreen is nice but if I do not shut down the computer before closing it, there is a touch point that is active at the bottom left of the screen. I had to turn on a flag to enable a shortcut to toggle touchscreen input. Because it is a 2-in-1, the screen is a bit wobbly when touching it but in tent mode, it's pretty awesome. Being able to output to two extra 1080p displays with a docking station and the built-in display is awesome compared to other lower end devices. 95% of the time, the processor keeps up with the workload. Youtube only gets choppy when I have like 5 or more PWA's open. I swapped out the 128GB SSD for a 1TB drive and it has been great to have extra storage on the device and hopefully future chromebooks come standard with SSDs instead of eMMC storage. The device is a real delight to use. I am getting a full days worth on one charge when I work mobile. It is fantastic for the price when it is discounted to $279. The Android App store is nice when the apps work and don't run into an error. I am probably going to get another Chromebook with a little extra horsepower. Hopefully there is another Ryzen powered one with a little more muscle.

Downsides: 1. Not all Microsoft apps are available natively for Chromebooks (workaround- web versions more or less works just fine) 2. The file structure takes a little effort to get used to 3. Some apps tools might need Linux/Developer mode to be enabled, that needs a little effort to get used to 4. Even Google apps do not have a Chromebook version. Some just plain open in a web browser window Positives: 1. Cost effective! Definitely buy it in sale 2. Touchscreen is nice while using day to day apps 3. Battery is certainly better than windows laptop at this price range 4. For email and browsing, even for note taking at college it’s a delight 5. Works well with an extended monitor through hdmi 6. Type C charging is very convenient while travelling

I got the Asus Chromebook plus CM34 flip with the 14 inch screen. Wow this thing is fantastic. So fast. My last three chromebooks were the 10 inch screens.and had a low price. This unit was on sale so I grabbed it. It has so many nice features. The screen is so clear. Very easy to read with my old eyes. A backlit keyboard. It turns off after not using it for a few seconds but pops right back on.There is a glass screen. The keyboard is easy to use. Very solid. There is a large trackpad and touch screen. There are two usb c ports. One on each side. A usb A port along with an Hdmi port. I connect it to my TV to watch movies and old shows. The battery lasts over 14 hours.

So far, so good. In my first weeks of owning this I've been pleasantly surprised by its speed and how little I miss the windows environment. 90% of what I want to do is browser based or in YouTube / Spotify. Google Docs is sufficient as a word processor so far. The way it can integrate with your phone is also amazing - replying to texts on the Google messages app is handy. The battery life and the build quality are impressive. This thing feels sturdy. The audio is fine but nothing to write home about. Being able to shut the computer down and have it back up and logged in in less than 10 seconds is a dream. It's way too heavy to use as a typical tablet, but works well in your lap for viewing or flat on a desk for sketching.

This is a really fantastic Chromebook, especially for the price. It has a huge screen, decent keyboard, USB-A port, two USB-C ports, a full HDMI out, a SD card reader, audio jack, the screen can flip back on itself to turn it into a tablet, an AMD CPU with Radeon graphics, and a solid chassis with a long battery life and plenty of cooling vents. But also it's a Chromebook, and I feel like this is severe overkill for what is essentially an upscaled smartphone OS. It's probably a great Android gaming system, but if you want something for school or work you might want to look for a model that's lighter, because this thing is really heavy.

After being a longtime Windows user, I decided to give this Asus Chromebook a try. I'm so glad I did! After using it for 4 months, I'm still trying to learn all of the features, but it is so much faster than my old laptop. I can have multiple tabs open at once without it crashing or slowing down. I love the backlit keyboard, and bought it at a great price. You can also access your old Windows cloud files on this Chromebook. It automatically updated to the new Chromebook Plus also! Overall, happy with the color and features! Great purchase!

Despite the Asus CM34 using an AMD Ryzen 3 7320C which is not quite as powerful compared to the Intel Core i3, this still gives an impressive performance in speed and even have an impressive battery life that can last longer than 10 hours depending on what is running in the background. This is great for not only handleing simple everyday use (web browsing, emails, documents, etc.), but this can handle moderate and a some heavy workloads like video chat, basic photo/video editing, etc.

Got this to replace my 2018 MacBook Air and it has been amazing! It is fast, responsive, and the touch screen makes life so much more simple! Since it has the 8 ghz of RAM, I have been using it to game using Gforce Now and it has work phenomenally. It has been 6 months now and it has shown no signs of slowing down! Best part is, my wife got the new MacBook Air and I definitely prefer this Chromebook over it!

I'm so stoked about this Chromebook. I really didn't expect this Chromebook to be that good because I am someone that is always looking at what tier the processor is compared to others, but really, this Ryzen 3 Chromebook is just right in terms of speed, graphics power, power consumption and heat. It's really worth the price. At the time of this review, it's roughly $500. It's really stylish. The color is similar to the old Chromebook Pixel Slate that I liked so much. So, if you have accessories from that system, you'll be at home and can reuse what you have and it will all match. It's really a fantastic, pretty color, but not too flashy. My wife really liked it right out of the box. She said it was a fairly attractive laptop! I have put it through its paces. For 8 or so Chrome tabs, it works really well. If you're playing a game or streaming, It doesn't really require you to close tabs because there are built in ChromeOS functions that put tabs to sleep and give back a lot of memory. And, that's the thing about this laptop. I thought 8G Ryzen 3 would not be that good, but this is a great performer. It easily kept up with me with even 20 tabs as I did research with super rich sites and a background music app. I am suitably impressed with the performance. I was trying to lag it down but it definitely had a lot of power. When you press CTRL SEARCH ESC, you get the new System Monitor, and I didn't see the CPU or memory ever redlining even with all that I had going. The only time I could slow it down was using the built in stress test, which really isn't a typical use case. With 20 tabs, I saw a 5G memory use and about 20% CPU. ChromeOS has come a long long way and I could definitely use this laptop as my primary around the house. Now, there are some caveats with this laptop. It's a little heavy, but ASUS gives back by having a really really long battery life along with super fast charging. I didn't hate the screen although I would have preferred a 1440p display. The display is sharp, touch screen, and fairly bright. One thing is that it doesn't get "dim" enough for surfing in the dark in bed when your SO is sleeping next to you. Charging on both sides using USBC PD 45w, 360 hinge, quiet operation... lots of good things here. I'm fairly impressed and could recommend this as a high end Chromebook choice if you're okay with the weight.

My windows computer broke and I needed another one but i did not want to spend more than $250. I only needed a computer for emails, web browsing, online school etc..simple productive things. I wasnt gonna use it for gaming or pc demanding software. At first I was trying to stay away from a chromebook cause I tried one once, along time ago and didnt like it. It was slow, I couldnt install software I needed, it had very little storage, and felt cheap. So was looking for a deal on a windows pc. After looking and looking the windows pc I found at that price were slow with below average features. But then I saw a deal on this chromebook and started reading about it. After doing some research I realized chromebooks have come along way since the last time I tried one. Plus after thinking about it everything I use and need is available online through google. So I bought it. and so far it has been great. The screen is bright, vivid and large enough. The processor is fast. I wanted an Intel processor but this AMD has really good speed. It has more storage memory than other chromebooks plus my google one drive is easily accessible from the desktop. It doesnt feel cheap, its actually kinda heavy, more than my surface which I always felt I could easily break, and i did. The battery lasts a long time even with the lit keyboard . The screen folds back so you can use it like a tablet. All I need is a screen pencil for it, not included of course. The IOS is not that different from windows so its easy to use. And on top of all that I got a great deal on it. I would definately buy another one if i needed another computer.

The best purchase I've made, Chromebook has evolved so much that you can do absolutely everything on these computers, the screen of this computer is incredible, full HD, excellent colors, the sound signed by harman/kardon is excellent too, the battery, very powerful when it comes to executing tasks, in short I am absolutely satisfied with this computer and if I could give it 10 stars I would!

I was surprised first with out heavy and solid the structure on this laptop was. It feels like a mini version of my Asus Pro art 16” laptop. I got this laptop to have a small portable counterpart to my larger windows pc. This laptop went over my expectations and has potential to be a percect daily driver laptop. The screen is quite nice and a good size, its reasonably bright. The key oard is amazing for long typing sessions and the trackpad is fairly slick. I was surpised this laptop has a fan, but I actually prefer that. The AMD Ryzen cpu is a perfect match for this laptop and very efficient, but the fan helps keep things cooler and running at max potential. Other thing that I noticed, this laptop is wicked fast if you have a wifi 6 router. This is the first device I have used with wifi 6 and its blazingly quick. Also the ssd and 8gb of ram are more than enough for a chromebook. Its the first chromebook that has the chops to honestly replace a windows laptop or mac if you are a student or general use user. I highly reccomend!

I like this Chromebook being that it changed my perspective of them being cheap devices. The build quality and finish are just as good as a Windows laptop. I am very surprised. This laptop offers a lot of pro's of the hardware but the key is the Google Chrome OS which makes it like a Mobile/Tablet experience. You with a Gmail account have web browsing, google productivity apps, youtube, printing, even rdp to your other computers when you install it thru chrome on the other device. I can really see how this makes things simpler for those who need something more than a phone for school/home needs but does not want the maintenance of Windows/Mac (Cost). This also has a touch screen which is nice if you want to experience the laptop more like the mobile counterparts. I wish I had a Android as I am guessing it would pair nicely since there is a messaging app which would be efficient. Now the cons I experienced is I cannot tell how much more efficient the AMD CPU and RAM are since there is not a task manager window to view but I have not felt a slow down on anything. The battery life is just ok. I am getting 8-10 hours consistently so that is great. Much better than in Windows. Back to the cons, I do not like that I cannot install my company VPN to access my work computer and I do not like that I cannot access my home printer since I cannot install my drivers on this since it requires a driver installation. A great step forward just think if your use case is school or just basic home computing this is a low complexity laptop. I really like it for most users.

Like this Chromebook as a full functioned laptop replacement with two issues. 1 is that it is the heaviest Chromebook you will ever encounter. 2nd is that there are some display driver issues that occasionally will cause this Chomebook to crash very unlike my prior Samsung Chromebook there are videos that will sometimes cause jiggering/juddering and then when you move the mouse the screen will freeze and the only solution is a hard reboot. Otherwise, the screen brightness could be stronger but its functional and the lack of a .COM key is a negative. The backlit keyboard is impressive as is the ability to comfortably type on this Chromebook.

Solid for it's intended purpose. It's a bit heavier then other devices, but the build quality is great. There biggest downfall here is the speakers. They are not very loud and don't sound the greatest. This is easily corrected through Bluetooth. But only reason it doesn't get 5*. The system is fast enough to stream videos or online education. Battery life is good and charges via USB C. The touchscreen display is it's strongest asset. It's bright and clear and very sharp for 1080p. Great find if you catch it on sale.
