Received the product and I have been pleasantly surprised. Performance is up to the mark but the fans ramp up quite a lot making it way louder than it should be.

I been looking forward to test out new AMD Ryzen 4800h, especially paired with RTX 2060. Ryzen 7 4800h with RTX 2060 performance of this laptop is a beast! Not only gaming but editing 4k videos, and photos with photoshop, no lacks, no delay, very impressive power for the price, there's no question about that. Now for display, 60hz, ok, for the price, understandable, but 250 nits brightness, and 45% sRGB color is not acceptable, display just ruined the experience for me, if you're looking for decent display this is not the one, But if you're not sensitive about color corrections and the brightness of display, I would recommend this laptop, cause the performance is not gonna disappoint you.

Had this little beast for about 1.5 months, threw in 32gb of ram, a 2nd M2 512 SSD and a 2 tb regular SSD, boom to go! I haven't met anything challenging yet, though not a heavy gamer myself. The only downside is the touchpad being too responsive sometime. The fan triggers a little too often but I am OK with that. I got it $549 as open box, it is set to be the best laptop deal of the year.

Have had for about a week, and everything is working great. Was looking for a good value laptop for light gaming and streaming, and this has fit my needs well. The screen picture quality is better than expected, even though only 1080p and 60 Hz. The fans can get noisy when gaming at high settings, but I can barely hear them under basic use. Plan to upgrade RAM and storage to get more use out of it later

This is a great option for a gaming laptop. I was in the market for a new laptop and similar options from competitors (Lenovo, Dell, etc.) were several hundred dollars more. This laptop and the next model up are both great options. I decided to upgrade the ram and added a 16 GB chipset which upgraded this to 24 GB. I also, upgraded the storage by adding a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD. I love my new laptop.

Just received my laptop today and it's fantastic! For the price you really can't beat the graphics card and the SSD. It's gunmetal gray and very sleek looking and it came with a bunch of decals which is always fun. Honestly you really can't beat it for this price and it runs everything that I wanted to play on it including mechwarrior 5 and battletech with no hiccups at all!

I took a star off for the weak display, RAM upgrade cost, and ssd drive upgrade cost. The processor is excellent and it's a shame not to pair it with dual channel ram by default. The graphics processor is strong but the display Asus paired with it is a joke.

The thermals is not good and this model has the crappy and dim 60hz screen. You can DIY a much better screen, look up 144HZ NV156FHM-N4J. But the battery is only 4Whr which isn't very good. Get the 90Whr model with the 144hz screen if you want.

This is a powerful little fellow. I havent had any problems... of course I upgraded to 32GB RAM and added a 1tb HDD so it is a bit faster since I leave the SSD as the OS drive. plus it is the only cheaper laptop that has a 2060! picture is beautiful and runs wonderfully. mostly have played halo wars 2 though. I definitely recommend this purchase

A very good laptop with a few drawbacks. The battery is small and drains pretty quickly. 8 gb ram is just not going to be enough, an additional 8gb stick is a must. 60hz isnt a big issue for me since i havent used a higher refresh rate screen yet but the color reproduction shouldve been better

I bought this for my daughter for gamin and animation college. She has been playing games on it and loves it. The reviews helped a bit but it is actually better than what I was expecting for the price. We had a concern about the temperature and I contacted ASUS. They gave us information on something we could do to help with the temperature and it is working great now! She plays Anthem, all the Assassin's Creed games, Halo - The Master Chief collection and many more. We are able to watch movies on the computer and the graphics look great to us. I am looking to buy a regular ASUS laptop for myself now. I am a middle school teacher. Overall happy with purchase.

My macbook pro’s screen broke and it was going to cost around $650 to replace. This was on sale for $799 and I decided to just get this than fix my mac. My first impression was this laptop looks and feels durable. It’s fast enough and capable of handling my apps. I am a web developer and didn’t really need a gaming laptop but I’ve always wanted a gaming pc. I installed Total War: Three Kingdoms and....I was disappointed because the game was sluggish when playing in ultra or high settings. I added another 8gb of ram, 16gb total, but the game wasn’t playable still unless I change the settings to medium. I only have 1 game installed but after that experience, I may not install anymore because the other games I want to play are more graphics intensive.

Great performance for the price! For a gamer on the go it is light and portable with very good performance even for AAA games. Not sure why gaming laptops have to be made of cheap plastic, this one is, but it fits the industry build quality for the segment.

its a great gaming laptop for a budget price. even though its a 60hz screen the hardware is capable of producing more than it can display so i recommend getting a external monitor if you can afford it but you will not be disappointed in this purchase.

I purchased this when it was on sale for $850, and it was by far the best GPU and CPU you could possibly get for that much. Even at it's regular price point, it's value is fantastic. The only downside is the 60Hz display, but you can take all the money you saved on CPU and GPU and spend it on a 144Hz monitor.

For the price, this is a very good laptop. The Ryzen 7 4800H is an excellent performer, even faster than the mobile Intel i9 of last year that was paired with the high end 16" MacBook pro costing thousands more. I do occasional gaming and frequent video rendering, this machine excels at both. The screen is only 60Hz, as far as the color and sharpness goes, it looks very good to my eyes. Some of the screen-bashing reviews made it sound like it was akin to my old Toshiba Tecra from the '90's, this is far from the truth, it is much better than my Dell Precision laptop from 5 years ago. If COMPETITIVE gaming on this laptop is your main goal, you may want to look for a more expensive line of laptop, the TUF series is Asus' budget gaming model, I find that many of the negative reviews about this laptop that I have read are by more competitive gamers who are looking for something more substantial. The build quality is very good and solid. This is not a thick and chunky laptop in my opinion, as is the stereotype with gaming laptops. Going back 5 years, it could have been put in the ultrabook category regarding it's size and weight, and is thinner and lighter than many Dell and Lenovo business laptops of that era. The back is easily removed for upgrading. I would recommend putting another 8gb stick of RAM in there if you purchased the 8gb variant. The included HDD adapter works great for adding more storage. The system does run on the hotter side, changing the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU with some Arctic MX-4 could yield over a 10 degree C temperature drop on both. I would probably wait a while before doing this, it may void your warranty. I do not recommend thermal pads to be added to any of the components under the heat sink, the tolerances are too tight, and good contact cannot be made with the CPU and GPU.

I got a great dealon this. Essentially bought it for the graphics card. Been having some issues with it restarting sporadically but not to worried yet about it. Runs hot (60C) and needs a laptop cooler. Built well. Like the Armoury crate that comes with it.

For the price you really can not beat the performance of this laptop. It runs basically anything you throw at it and while you may not be able to run all games at max settings, you will be surprised well games run on this. Only problem is the cooling fan is very loud when under heavy load.

Great gaming machine for the price! The RTX 2060 is a surperior graphics card at this price level, & the Ryzen 7 is hot - too hot, if you really push it. For gaming, will likely need extra cooling from a laptop cooling pad (if you want this laptop to not burn out too early).
