I’ve wanted a gaming laptop forever and this was perfect!

This would be considered a "gaming" laptop, but I needed something portable with a good graphics card to do on the go video editing and file transfers. It is very fast and Im sure it would have no problem with any game, but it chews through 4k video editing like a champ! But it does get a tad warm on your lap so keep it in mind.

Great laptop for gaming, would definitely recommend

This is a gaming laptop. This is not as powerful as a desktop. But its as powerful as any other gaming laptop out there. The huge benefit is this computer has a 120hz screen where most have a 60hz. Sure..your laptop has enough gpu power to run 200fps but your screen is capped at 60. Obviously the 120 is 2x better.

The Asus 15.6" is a great laptop that makes easy work of huge architectural software. This system doesn't freeze, lock-up, slow down, restart, or lose data. It does what it's supposed to do and keeps up with my workload. I highly recommend this computer to anyone who needs a powerful system. Thank you, Asus!

Bought my second ASUS laptop based on my good experience with the first one. Prior to that, I was unaware that ASUS made computers or laptops. This one has a solidstate harddrive, which is nice. Wish it had a CD drive, but has plenty of USB ports to add one if needed.

Runs really well. Personally I wish the case was made out of some other material as the stuff it is currently made out of stains and looks terrible after basic use. Also the driver for the touchpad seems to have problems with linux so beware of that too

I'm not going to go through all the pros/cons of this laptop, everybody who posted a review before me is correct. Awesome gaming laptop, BUT NOT IF YOU HAVE THE OCULUS RIFT!!! Although they advertise this laptop as "VR Ready", and although the Oculus Rift is listed as a compatible headset in the 'VR Ready program' you see on nVidia's website, THIS LAPTOP IS NOT OCULUS RIFT COMPATIBLE. I spoke with Asus support for hours because I was getting bad tracking with my Rift on this headset, only to have them tell me that this laptop isn't compatible with the Oculus Rift and gave me a link to their 'Oculus Ready' laptops. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU PLAN ON USING IT WITH AN OCULUS RIFT!!!!!
