    If you want basic computer functionality like being able to download, install, and run anything from the web, look elsewhere. Most software is not compatible with this OS. There's no storage drive, so you only get a quarter of a terabyte to work with. The only part of the four hours I used it that wasn't painful and needlessly complicated was the factory reset, which is supposed to be complicated, so you don't do it by accident. The only positive thing about this experience was the relative ease of returning it to the store to exchange for something fit for purpose. The accompanying image is it not letting me scale a browser window to fit the screen - a function I did figure out eventually, but even then the computer seemed to protest it - and I wish I'd taken a photo to show text on discord wouldn't wrap, but would bleed off the screen, making it unusable - which is particularly bad, because discord text usually wraps fine on the smartphones and tablets this OS is obviously for!

    I’m still undecided. I purchased this Chromebook for my middle child because she is doing her senior year from home. I purchased the ASUS brand because I got my oldest daughter one for her first year of college, and she absolutely loves it. This one is a different model but the graphics are amazing plus the memory. I bought this Chromebook on 8/18/20223, and we didn’t receive it until 8/23/2023. My daughter went to use her Chromebook earlier this week and it wouldn’t do anything. There was nothing but a black screen. The power light on the side would flash every 4 seconds which when I looked it up it said it had something to do with the motherboard. I brought it in and went to the return desk and he sent me to the Geek Squad. She messed with it for a while and found that if you hold down the power button and the refresh button it wakes up or resets the battery for the motherboard. I asked her with this being a brand new Chromebook should I be worried about this. She said, well we can swap it out but I don’t think you will have any more issues out of it. Then she said I needed to make a decision because today 8/30/2023 was the last day I could do anything. Which was surprising to me considering I did pay for it on the 18th, but did not receive it until the 23rd. So again, I’m not sure if I should be upset with ASUS or with Best Buy right now. But I’m not very happy. I just wanted to know from the tech at Geek Squad why it did that in the first place, and a solid yes or no on whether to replace it.

      We sincerely apologize for the poor experience you had with your ASUS Chromebook not booting properly. This is definitely not the norm and is not the kind of quality to expect from ASUS products. This may happen sometimes if there is a buildup of static electricity on the motherboard of the device, this is to prevent damage from the device. Holding the power button and refresh key essentially hard resets the device, this does not affect any files or programs on the device, and should allow you to boot normally after the static electricity has been discharged.     Very unsatisfied with Best Buy it’s not the PC.

    I’ve had a terrible experience. First got sent a faulty “excellent condition” refurbished Asus CX55 Chromebook. I exchanged that one after finding out I was sold a refurbished computer for a few dollars MORE than a new one. Don’t know how that’s possible but then after ordering and getting the nice surprise that I would only have to wait a few days to get the new one I find out the day before I’m supposed to get it that no Best Buy stores in my area have it in stock. Now being out of a work computer for days in being told it will be possibly 2 weeks and if they can’t find it the best “Best Buy” can do is give me a refund that will take days after processing and weeks of no computer. Fingers are crossed I even get a working computer out of this but if nothing is done to soften the blow on Best Buy’s part I will never be shopping with them again and I will be telling anyone I can to shop somewhere else at any cost.

    NO WI-FI 6E OR 1440P

    This does not have Wi-Fi 6e. It also does not gave a 1440p screen. They replaced mine with a Lenovo Go when i confronted them about it. Even after 2 months of having it. They acknowledged that it has neither of these features but still won't change the informationso i am leaving a review to earn people. Please don't buy this is you're expecting Wi-Fi 6e or 1440p resolution

    NOT a gaming laptop, misleading "cloud gaming" tit

    This laptop is a joke. Almost any recent computer is a cloud gaming computer if you have a fast enough internet connection and a subscription to a cloud gaming service. This laptop has a garpbage integrated graphics card so it shouldn't even be in the same sentence as "gaming computer." The fact that they advertise it with the "cloud gaming" label is incredibly deceptive and unscrupulous. This laptop cannot play any modern games by itself.
