    Excellent computer

This computer is excellent. It is super fast, very responsive touchscreen, and touchpad, very clear, crisp display. Besides all that it has a huge 512 gb ssd memory and a 2 tb hard drive memory. It is extremely quiet and the keyboard is a full size with good key separation and a numeric keyboard which is very helpful to me. I love the backlit keyboard for night-time work. I also purchased the bamboo ink stylus from best Buy and have been using it on this computer, I love it too. Great computer reasonable price, hopefully it will last several years.

The display is okay but not true 4k. Uses the fake pentile upscale. It works good though if you don't care about that detail. The screen is still sharp.

This has a beautiful display and fast. Setup was easy. However, most of my programs are legacy programs and installing them on a 4k display was a horrible experience! Everything was so small, I couldn't read it. Found a few fixes, but it meant switching back and forth which was taking much too long! I returned this after 3 days of trying to get programs installed. It just wasn't worth spending more time on.

I'm not very happy with this purchase. I tried to copy and paste something and it would not let me. I have no clue, why a brand new laptop won't work? Very upset!!

I had very high hopes for this laptop. It had all the specs I was looking for in a pc for Photoshop and Lightroom. I received it and it froze for hours the first time I powered it on. Thereafter, it froze constantly. So I exchanged it and had to have it shipped to me. I then received a laptop that was open box when I originally paid for a new laptop. So I exchanged it again. The third laptop I received ran very slow before I even installed any programs on it. So I exchanged it for a 3rd time. I received my fourth laptop which immediately began freezing and glitching with first days use. Also, on the fourth one, the touch pad pops up on the top left side and sinks in on the bottom right side, making the right click button unusable unless you push the top left down very hard every few minutes. I really wanted this computer to work for me but unfortunately I will not be giving it a 5th chance.

    Major bug in computer firmware

Tried 2 different brand new Asus computers, and both had the exact same error. Powershell would crash every hour or so. After a lot of frustration, returned the second one and bought a new Lenovo, installed all the same programs and apps, and no Powershell error. So the error was definitely somewhere in the Asus computer.

Did Not Meet My Space Requirements

The Asus PC was suggested to me by a Best Buy sales person, and while it was a nice PC, it did not come close to meeting my needs. There was a 500GB SSD and then a 1TB (I think) drive to use for storage. (I use Dropbox for this purpose and told the sales person this). I have a very large iTunes library and blew out the space on the C drive immediately. The program can only run from the C drive I was told. A waste of my time to have even have purchased it and installed programs on it.

Great laptop with a few quirks.

This is a great laptop with a few nitpicks. I absolutely love the SSD drive. My previous laptop took around four minutes to load up Visual Studio and this ASUS laptop only takes around five seconds. It's a huge difference for me that has made using Visual Studio almost hassle-free. I do have three nitpicks though. First, the touchpad occasionally freezes up. It freezes for a little under a second and typically requires me to lift my finger off of the touchpad before the mouse pointer will start moving again. Second, the speakers are located on the bottom of the laptop facing downward if you are using the keyboard. This means that the sound quality is less than optimal but I don't listen to much on this computer so it's not a huge problem for me. Third, the Power meter on the Windows taskbar will occasionally report that the battery is at 95% and not charging when the battery is fully charged. I've seen other complaints about this on various websites. As far as I can tell, it's a superficial issue that a restart will usually fix. Aside from those three nitpicks, I love this laptop. It's great for programming and I would highly recommend it if you are a CS student or have a child starting a CS program

    So Far So Good

    Posted .

I've only had this computer for 4 days, but so far so good! After a lot of research, I went to the store to get the: Q534UX-BHI7T19 (which the sales rep said this was the #1 selling laptop behind the Mac Books), but the sales rep said that the: Q534UX-BI7T22 is the newest model, so I ended up walking out with this one (the old model is now on clearance for a whopping $90 less). I did note a few small differences between the two models: the color of the laptop (this one is black vs. chocolate) & this one has an lithium ion rather than a lithium polymer battery... so if those things don't bother you, save yourself a little extra dough & get the: Q534UX-BHI7T19 (all of the other specs are the same!). Battery life only seems to last about 4.5-5 hours, but perhaps tweaking the settings might extend that). Will update review if I have any other complaints!
