    PS4 Gaming

This monitor was purchased specifically for PS4 gaming. The installation was simple and was achieved in about 2 minutes. It has 2 HDMI ports and they are easily accessible. After I tinkered around the picture settings for a while I was able to get a very good picture. If you research this product online you can find it's best picture settings. Quality: Excellent This monitor is well built and is very sturdy. It feels premium for the price Features: Excellent I would say there are more features on this monitor then I will use. This thing is very customizable and I can change the height or turn the screen portrait if I wanted to. It also has a lot of features to help you while gaming that appears on the screen. Picture: Good The picture is good, not great. Don't be dismayed by that though because I am going from an excellent TV to this monitor. I will give the benefit to the monitor because I have noticed things in games that I could not on my TV because I am a lot closer to the screen. Purpose: Excellent This monitor has a 1ms response time and I can see it when I play. It is a 75 HZ monitor but if you have a PS4 or Xbox One you will use 60HZ. It also comes with low lag HDMI ports so it especially helps console gamers. Verdict: Get one for console gaming. Now. After playing this for a solid 5 hours (not at once) I have become used to it and it has improved my gaming. I have hit a 4 K/D ratio on BO3 several times and am doing excellent in BF1. A surprise for me was how close I am to the PS4, I could charge my headset while I play. I think this monitor is built specifically for console gaming. You can use it for PC Gaming but if you are searching for a PC Gaming monitor I would check out an ASUS that has 144HZ or more. If you are looking for an everyday task monitor, this would do well but again it's meant for gaming and you should look into a monitor with an IPS Panel. Personally, I won't be going back to a TV for gaming and I can't wait for a 4K HDR monitor when the Xbox "Scorpio" arrives!

This monitor is really great! Out of the box the colors aren't the best, they are washed out. In the preset, "modes", landscape is far too saturated and vibrant. Some tweaking in the custom settings fixes this though. After this, the color representation is 10/10. (I will post my settings on the bottom part of this review if you wish to copy them for your monitor). The LED power light is well hidden, it will not be annoying. Speakers are not the best as they are located behind the screen, but they do get LOUD if you want them to be and are still something I use everyday. If you plan to game on this monitor, I suggest using the "Racing" preset mode as a base to start as according to the manufacturers website this setting will reduce input lag for the monitor. For cable management, there is a gap in the stand itself to pull your video cables through. Pull the door hard to remove the cable door. There is only enough room to fit 2 HDMI cables and the power cable through this small gap. 75Hz IS available using the included HDMI cable. Freesync is not required to hit 75Hz out of box for PC. Consoles will force 60Hz regardless for their max output, this cannot be changed for any monitor/TV. FOR NVIDIA USERS: In the Nvidia Control Panel under "Change Resolution", change your Output Dynamic Range to FULL from Limited otherwise you will also have washed out colors from this. AND change resolution to PC 1920x1080 from the automatically chosen "Ultra HD" 1080p, 1920x1080 (native) if you want to hit 75Hz. Settings: Racing mode, No blue light filter selected, Brightness w/e, Contrast 70, Color Temp: normal, SmartView: off, Trace Free: 80, Aspect Control: 0, VividPixel: 0. I also use Flux to make the colors warmer for less eye strain with these settings.

I was in the market for a new monitor to hook up to my XB1X. I am an avid FPS player and the monitor I was using was old and didn't have a fast response and refresh rate. I was looking specifically for a TN monitor with 1ms that was higher than 60hz. I didn't mind if it was FHD or QHD, as at 24 inches you're eye won't really tell the difference; especially on a TN panel. I have a 4k tv for casual gaming. I came across this and decided to give it a shot. There was a 144hz model that was roughly $120 more than this one, but 75hz is more than enough for console gaming. So far I am very satisfied with this monitor. I'll list my pros and cons. Pros: - Sleek and beautiful design - Feature packed: FPS counters, Cross hairs, tons of picture settings, blue light filtering, tracer settings, etc. - Nice adjustment screen. Tilts, rotates, and has a good low to high height. - TN panel with surprisingly high detail. Very fast, no color tearing, motion blurring, or ghosting. Cons: - No handbook for learning all the buttons and menu options - Viewing angle isn't the best, but you should in front regardless so it won't matter - Avoid the built in game modes, you can tweak the picture yourself to make it much much better. - Speakers aren't at all impressive, but I use headphones so it's not at all an issue for me. That's really it. Overall it's fantastic. I am very impressed with this monitor. Here are my recommended setting for gaming: - Use the scenery picture setting, turn the contrast down to 75, put trace free on 80, avoid using vivid pixels. That's generally it. Enjoy! P.S: Amazing for CoD, Halo and BF.

Casual gamer (adult) Ps4. Anyone who plays on any console game platform ONLINE (PvP), will absolutely benefit from getting this monitor. Cuts imput lag (press button see it happen on screen) to under 10ms (tests done show it as good as 8ms) with a response time of 1ms (monitor takes game signal and displays it). You WILL notice the difference. Note: this monitor will NOT make you better at any game, thats on you. However it will put you on an equal playing field as the really good players. Meaning what you see on your screen is what they see on their screen (fast response time) and when you press a button on your controller it will happen on screen much faster (low imput lag) At under $200 or $218 with 3 year Bestbuy warranty out the door as i paid. This is a great buy. Yes there are monitors with lower IMPUT LAG but you will be paying over $400 to shave 2 - 3ms. If you or your children are professional gamers, get the $400 monitor. If you’re like me, in my opinion and the opinion of 3 friends who are 1st person shooter gamers (ie: fortnite, call of duty and destiny) you cant beat this monitor. After using mine all 3 purchased this monitor. Side note: people will talk about high refresh rate or hz (how fast the monitor refreshes the image) This monitor has a refresh rate of 75hz. Perfect for console gaming. Monitors can go up to 240hz. Higher refresh rates (above 60hz) do absolutely nothing for a console game, as console games play at no more than 60hz. Most playing at 30hz. Research for yourselves, all of this is online. :)

Model: VG245HSKU: 5591926 After a little over a year of owning the ASUS 24" Monitor here is my review and comments on the device. Packaging: Excellent The packaging was done at full expectation great to keep for when you move. Keeps it safe and the box is strong. Easy to unpack and everything was organised. Installation/ Setup: Easy After unpacking it I was easily able to set it up, plug it in and attach the stand on. It has 2 HDMI ports that are easily accessible and I was able to adjust the monitor to what I needed to easily. Basically just a plug and use monitor. You can adjust some other settings and look of the monitor depending on what suits you best. I have no complaints. Picture Quality: Great/Good It is what you would expect for a 1080p monitor. It's definitely NOT 4K, but still all you need for good gaming at 75 Hz refresh rate. You will notice things that you normally wouldn't while playing on a TV. Defiantly designed for gaming on the desktop none the less. It has an amazing 1ms response time and you feel no display lag on the monitor. Buy or Don't Buy? I would say buy this device! overall it's and amazing monitor for your gaming needs. Although its obvious that it was designed for gaming desktops you can use if for console gaming just the same. You will only get 60 Hz of refresh rate instead of 75 Hz. Be warned some models of graphics card will have trouble working with free sync. I know you will enjoy this monitor if you buy it. Worth every cent!

One of my long time Viewsonic monitors (matching pair) started intermittently going on and off at will. I did some research before buying as usual. I've had some experience with ASUS products and ran across the VG245H monitor here on Best Buy. Once viewing it in store, I was very pleased with its performance. I mounted it next to my still-working Viewsonic and made the decision this was not going to work! A couple of days later I had TWO Asus VG245's! The only "drawback" is the rear mounted adjustment buttons (Pictured). The buttons are on the right lower rear corner which means the units butted together makes it "hard" to reach them. The left monitor's buttons, of course, are blocked by the right monitor and my right monitor edge is butted up against another component because of my space. HOWEVER, because of the tactile buttons & the joystick up/down/right/left feature reaching underneath each device will get much easier when I'm used to which button does what. They are vertically positioned so if you have short fingers, an impairment or something, the performance of the monitor(s) far outweighs the minor inconvenience. Try this out in store but once you see the screen, the buttons probably won't matter!

    Excellent Color

To me, the most important thing about a monitor is color range. I want to appreciate photos and art in its full range of color, and experience games with the most immersion. Monitors that are greyed and washed out, or backlit far too much disrupt that, and hurt my eyes. First things first, you will not like this monitor if: - You hate significant bezels - You do not like matte displays - You prefer a more tablet-like screen - You do not like the color near the orange spectrum This screen is really fast, no tearing or refresh problems to be seen. It is easily the best monitor in the house, and we have 3 computers with at least 2 monitors on each, so that is saying something. The color range reminds me of HDR on a TV. I noticed theres a bit of a bias towards orange and red colors, so if you don't like that, just lower the reds down a tiny amount and you should be good. The display is matte. So it is not shiny or glassy, or reflective. Since we have smart bulbs and lights on often, this is a good thing for me, because I hate seeing light reflections on a monitor. It makes it hard to see and disrupts gameplay. Some people may not like this, but I'm glad it is there.

I purchased a RX480 (Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB) and wanted to replace my older Asus monitor (non gaming, 5ms response, etc). I saw this bad boy on sale for $149.99 over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend and I pulled the trigger. I play a lot of everything on PC, mainly Battlefield 1 now. This monitor is something else. There is no screen tearing, input lag or graphical flickers. The monitor has a built in FPS counter and crosshair for gamers, I don't use the crosshair but the FPS is a must have for me. Having all of this technology into the screen, made the dynamic shadows in game something surreal. When pairing the new age tech in AMD cards with a new age quality monitor, it leads to majestic qualities. It's like NIGHT and DAY difference over my last monitor. For build quality, I expect nothing less from Asus and they delivered. The base and back of monitor is easily rotated but does not come easily undone. The buttons are super easy to use and the joystick is super convenient to have. The bezel is super thin and it's machined metal, so it feels cool to the touch and is durable. After all that, it's simply one of the best looking monitors on the market. This is my first review for a BB product, after shopping here for 20 years, that's how impressed I am with this monitor.

Searched online for a gaming monitor, I was going with the BenQ, but decided this one since it was on-sale as well. It has everything that the BenQ has, this one is 75hz instead of 60hz, but that really doesn't matter if you use it for console gaming, which was my primary reason, this monitor is console ready. plug and play right away to any console. The 1ms TraceFree is amazing, you see the difference coming from a 42inch TV. the Eye Care is a plus and different game modes work like a charm for when you are playing FPS games, for example. It has 2 HDMI ports and speakers, yes it has speaker and even thought they are stereo, they sound is great fro when I'm not using my Astro A50 wireless headset while gaming or watching something on the console. This is the best budget gaming monitor IMO, which is console ready. Don't hesitate to get one, I got it even cheaper because BB matched the Amazon price, if the item if sold and ship from Amazon, which this one is. A++++, to BB as well, the warranty is cheap to for 4 years.

their honestly isnt to much I can really say about these monitors, yes monitors- I bought 2 of them, the response time is fast the refresh rate is pretty high, the price was good and they where the biggest I could fit into my roll top desk. the color as far as Im concerned is good. The integrated cable routing in the stand is nice to keep the cables out of the way, and the stands themselves are pretty nice. i appreciate them not being glossy as these are easy to clean. my one issue which isn't really an issue at all except in my specific situation is the bezels around the display are a little on the thick side, Ideally; id like to see it narrower, because in a dual monitor setup, like mine, the result is a pretty good amount of space between the 2 screens about an inch by my estimations, however I believe that for the price vs specs vs size, these are a great deal and probably the best your going to find at the size.

As my previous inexpensive 21 inch 5ms VGA/DVI monitor for console gaming was starting to have hiccups, I began researching for a monitor that was in a higher price range that would fulfill my needs for gaming, streaming, and office related. After hours and hours of learning all the information the internet could provide me, i started to realize that I was in the market for a monitor that provided the feeling of a premium gaming monitor without the extensive bells and whistles needed for PC gaming. I couldn't be any happier I was able to pick up this monitor on sale, but is definitely worth the MSRP. The screen adjustments take some playing around with to get the look you want, but that may just have been because my previous monitor was an entry level piece of equipment. The dual hdmi ports, vesa mount capabilities, and 1ms response time make being an adult who loves to game soooooo much easier. One port is dedicated to the console and the other for screen mirroring with my laptop. I've not had a single regret about purchasing it!

This is the most happiest purchase I've made this past year. Thanks to sales associates Brian and Johnny I am very happy with the results playing on this gaming monitor for my PS4. I've been searching for a good monitor to play my ps4 games on and this fulfilled way past my expectations. I had a small 32inch tv 720p that I used for years and with this upgrade, I have experienced the most out of my ps4. A huge difference in quality and very smooth response time from each button press and joystick maneuver. Also noting playing red dead redemption 2 became an absolute amazing experience. The nice cable management in the stand is a bonus plus, and I love the horizontal swivel with vertical height adjustment. The blue light color adjustment helps when I'm playing late at night and I can set different filter presets to enhance my gaming experience. After the first night of gaming, I came right back to purchase the extended 4 year warranty. The price is so cheap for what you can get out of it. 20/10. Highly recommend.

Model: Asus VG245H Price: $200 Use: - gaming (casual/rpg & online moba/mmo/fps) - watching videos - working from home Pros: - 1920x1080 - no noticeable input lag - nice variety of pre-existing color profiles (videos & games look great with minimal effort) - blue-light filter has levels from 0 to 4 and it's great for when I'm working at night and trying not to fry my eyes on the white screens. note this also works fine for games. Cons: - not 4k - As far as I can tell, the monitor itself can't be adjusted for height but I haven't tried very hard as the height is ok for me. - When I alt-tab between a full screen game and another window, going to the full screen game takes the monitor a hot second and the small Asus logo box pops up in the middle of the screen without fail. Conclusion: Overall I feel like this is a great value. The monitor does everything I think I can ask for. The cons that I listed are at most small irritations to me (darn you small box) and almost entirely ignored. Sure, it's not a 4k monitor so it might end up getting replaced sooner rather than much, much later, but if you're looking at $200 monitors chances are you're not expecting 4k anyways. Would highly recommend.

I had a decent monitor, although it was quite old, it was fine as far as specs and could hold its own with any good monitor of today. I game on ps4 and I was curious to see just how much better would a monitor with modern technology look compared to my current one and would the difference even be worth the price? In a word; YES! This monitor is awesome and blows my other one out of the water. Looks great, and has nice settings for FPS, movies, etc that look great. My favorite part is the stand, it feels very heavy duty and I especially love how easily it slides up and down to the height you desire. It can also tilt up and down and can flip vertical for pdf reading or whatever you do with a vertical display. Definitely worth the money, I do not regret upgrading and neither will you! Take your game to the next level!

Out of the box the monitor looks a little washed out. After a few tweaks and calibration this is easily fixed and has awesome results. There are loads of instructions on google of how to change the settings on the monitor itself. The other part is a color profile specifically for this monitor which as well is easy to follow instructions. Nvidia has a pretty good guide on how to do it as well as locations to find the correct one. Afterward this monitor is great! 75mhz really makes a difference. To switch the monitor to 75 from 60 all you need to do is go to the nvidia settings and click on monitor resolution and scroll down. Select the resolution under the PC list and it enables the ability to switch to 75mhz. It took me a little bit to figure out how to do it properly with a nvidia card ,but thats it. It is a great monitor for the price and definitely worth purchasing

Had it around a month, read reviews on here as well as other sites. Found the best settings on one of the review sites and set my monitor up the same way. Racing mode, brightness 34, cont 73, Red 100 Green 91 Blue 92. So far it has been great. Use it for my new gaming build and everything looks great as well as with my ps4 which I have moved over to it from the tv. I really appreciate the stand. I used to have my monitor on a shelf I had rigged from an Ikea shelf with 4" cabinet risers so I could look straight at my screen. The stand on this lifts the screen high enough for that purpose. At first I couldn't figure out why freesync wouldn't work and then I realized I had to turn in on in the menu, which, is very easy to navigate using the little toggle/joystick in the rear lower right corner. I'm no visual expert so take this review for what it is. I am impressed with the quality and hope it will last longer than my 27" acer monitor that died after about a year.

For those looking for a budget monitor that has decent specs, fully adjustable (tilt, height and screen rotates 90°) and works well, this is a good monitor at a reasonable price. If you look in the specifications you will find conflicting entries. For instance, this VG245H monitor has 2 - HDMI ports, and 1 - DB15 connector VGA port (not a dual DVI connector). It comes with 2 HDMI cables, 1 VGA cable and audio cable. It has built-in speakers but they sound bad - get some external speakers. There are 2 audio ports - Ear phones (or external speakers) and audio in. I purchased this monitor because of the height and tilt adjustments and it's easy to adjust - simply push up or down for height or push in or pull out for tilt. Nice wide base so it's stable.

Asus made a budget friendly gaming monitor for gamers. As the GPU prices continue to sore the market. Monitor market is very competitive and continues to strive every year. This Asus Monitor supports AMD freesync at 75 hz refresh rate. I truly enjoyed the monitor in its synthetic looks and not being too much gamer is RGB lighting. In fact this gaming monitor doesn't support RGB light holy crap. This monitor is FULL HD and supports a whopping 1 millisecond response time. The color is decent which that is what you expect from ASUS so no complaints there. One problem I do have is there is no USB Hub to it things in. For the price you can't complain to much. The monitor supports two HDMI ports and speaker ports. So for you console gamers out there this morning itor will suit you very well. Do I recommend this product well ya I do if you are a casual gamer.

This monitor is an all-around solid choice for any gamer looking to upgrade from a bare-bones monitor. The single best feature is the stand, which allows you to rotate, change the pitch of, and raise/lower the monitor. I am not into features like the built-in crosshairs for shooters, or speakers, but I am impressed to see these included at the price-point. If I had any complaints it would be that some may find the look to be a little too gamer-ey, and that I had to fiddle with the picture settings for a while. The default looked awful in my opinion. Overall I find this to be a solid monitor for $200, and I recommend it to anyone who has not jumped on the 4K bandwagon yet.
