I couldn't be more pleased - this is definitely a high quality CD reader. DVD-ROM drive came in a well packaged box, the drive wrapped and then placed in a foam housing to keep it safe during shipping and handling. There is also an included CD-ROM which contains several piece of software, none of which are required to install the drive and use it. Plug and play. That's pretty much it.

I bought two of these to replace the ones I had in a older computer. I t was very easy to install and work great. I would recommend this drive as a great replacement or for a new build.

I build pc's as a hobby and needed to pickup up a drive at my local bestbuy but their prices were better online so I chose in store pickup and to my surprise it arrived in two days! How's that for quick delivery! On to the review this drive does exactly as described and I have been a long time purchaser of asus products. This unit comes in black trim along with screws. Supported by most burning software it will not disappoint you.

Pretty standard optical drive, hardly anyone has use for one these days. I wanted one replace my external optical drive that was over 10 years old.

Reasonably price, works well, easy to install, very compatible.

I have been using these in my gaming PC's that I build. They're not as useful as they used to be, but makes it easier to view or load older games/drivers.

Used this to rip my old cds so I can use hem on my computer.

Needed a second drive for my computer. This drive is faster than the pre-installed drive and has been a blessing in disguise.

This product was bought for a new build. Works flawlessly. Third one I have bought for different builds. Seems to be my go to DVD Rewriter. Inexpensive and would recommend.

This CD player came quickly and was easy to install. I can't get the computer to read the discs though, which is probably a connector or software issue. Drive seems to function correctly.

My old DVD drive wasn't reading or burning discs any more and after looking to see what was available I purchased this drive. My desktop computer is also an Asus and I thought it would be a good match. So far it has worked flawlessly.

Great DVD drive at a great value. Perhaps this isn't used that much anymore but thanks to BestBuy for providing it at a great price!

Not sure how much use will actually come from this. But the price is so low I'm not concerned about wasting the money on bonus features for build.

Since burners are becoming obsolete anymore, finding one when you need one is awesome. And at a descent price too.

Made some upgrades to a computer to include adding this DVD drive while my older drive quit working. This has worked great so far and easy to install.

I bought this DVD ROM as a replacement for the non-functioning one in my PowerMac PC. It works great and does what I need it to do. Cheapest one I could find locally.

Used to build a custom desktop. Installed and performed exceptional. No problem reading DVD with OEM software.
