I ordered it to be delivered to my house as I had some huge issues with ordering delivered to store. This delivery came roughly about the time they told me. The feel and quality of this drive is amazing. It looks awesome with the diamond feel and look to it. The ASUS logo is also great. It is fast and for the price, it is great. The one concern I have about it is the stand that I saw in the picture online. There is no stand. This isn't a huge problem, all I have to do is set it parallel and it works just fine.

This product is pictured as having a stand with it but upon opening the box, I see that it has a place for a stand but it doesn't come with one. I read through all the information online again and it never stated that the stand needs to be purchased separately. I would return it but the nearest Best Buy is over an hour a way. Just so everyone else knows, this product does not come with a stand as pictured.

BUT NOT ALL PRODUCTS HAVE THE SAME FEATURES. IT'S STANDARD PRACTICE. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO STAND FOR DRIVE. THIS IS A AWESOME DRIVE. IT'S PLUG AND PLAY. VERY EASY TO USE. WHEN MY DVD DRIVE IN MY PC WENT I TRIED SERVAL DIFFERENT DRIVES. NOTHING WORKED TIL I BOUGHT THIS ONE. BUT THIS ONE YOU'LL BE VERY HAPPY YOU DID.

Have sent information request concerning the failure to offer WIN 8 as a choice in the firmware update. Drive seems to be working great without the update.

The one laptop (a Samsung) does not have a working cd/dvd drive and this has been extremely helpful in keeping it running while my brand new Asus did not come with an optical drive and this drive has been great. It does require 2 usb ports, and that's the only thing that I did not like about it
