    Great AIO but not perfect

Comments here are from the perspective of my use case for this PC: I needed a compact AIO w sufficient USB ports primarily due to space limitations in the area this was to be set up. Previous PC tower and monitor w wired keyboard and mouse simply took up too much space so the hunt was on for an AIO PC. Initial setup was marred by MS requiring the creation of an MS account. Initial account creation and login were fine but trouble started when I opted for a local login account. Long story short, I was able to recover from a loop that prevented me from logging in with the local account. Would be nice if MS let us specify a local [non-MS] user account during initial setup. Other than that, setup was smooth! Great display! And it's a touch screen. Sounds is a bit tinny and thin but that's to be expected given the compactness of the PC and lack of space for supporting better sound. The camera is middle of the road quality-wise, this may or may not matter to you. I'm using amateur radio apps so processing power and RAM are important but top-of-the-line CPUs etc. aren't critical. From all I can tell user-installable RAM is not an option for this PC. If this is incorrect please point me in the right direction. Equipped w 8GB RAM this is fine for my main use but were I to branch out to more resource-intensive uses it might fall short. Glad to see the included keyboard [both mouse and KB are wireless] follows the trend of having larger letters! Neither mouse or KB have on-off switches so we'll have to see how long the batteries last. Wireless is WiFi6-compatible though my system is updated to that level. Also, this thing is quiet! Much appreciated. Again, this is from a limited use perspective and, for my needs, it's fine. It's a good PC, space-saving but you may find the specs somewhat limiting based upon your planned usage. Currently priced @ $629, this is a great deal. If I had it to do it again, I'd opt for the i7-equipped PC w 16GB RAM, mainly for the increased RAM onboard and larger SSD.

This has got to be the best All in one computer that I have had the opportunity to use it was easy to setup. It does have some very very minor things that I personally would have had put in if it was one being built for me such as more ram and a larger SSD but all in all it is an awesome computer and would be absolutely great for a student or for home as I said with the two items that I personally would have put in for it the ssd should have been at least 500gig or a 1TB due to the fact of all of the updates windows normally does it will at sometime or another eat up a 256gig as for the ram I would have asked or had 16gig instead of the standard 8 and I know a lot of people don't like Asus but for me this is the main thing that made me want this PC was the brand as they do make one of the best mother boards around. This is actually going to replace the very old iMac all in one that I have and will be setup to use when gaming and needing to look something up for the games that I play so with that said I rate this not 5 stars but 1 to 100 i give it 100 will worth the price and would recommend it to friends and family

If you are looking for a small footprint all in one that has a touchscreen and can do everything you need it to in a small space then the ASUS A3402T all in one (AIO) is just the ticket for your needs, with some caveats. Picking up the ASUS A3402T AIO when setting up, you can feel the heft and quality build that has gone into the unit. This compact desktop has a 24 inch touchscreen with 8 GB of memory (not upgradable) and a 256 GB solid-state drive. With a drive that size you need to be efficient in use of disk space and perhaps have various cloud-based storage options available to you as at least for me 256 GB can be filled rather quickly. Included is a wireless keyboard and mouse that are automatically set up to work with your PC which is a nice touch. On top of the all in one is a 720P camera for Microsoft teams, zoom, etc. Set up is typical Windows, you need to sign in and wait for any updates that need to be installed on the included windows 11 operating system and then you are good to go. While the ASUS AIO has five various USB ports, 2 HDMI ports a LAN port and a USB C Port, conspicuously missing is an SD card slot which is a curious choice on the manufactures part in my opinion. You can certainly use an adapter, but I’m just wondering about the thinking around not including one, perhaps on the side or something like that, but just go in knowing you’ll need an adapter if you have any need for an SD card slot. The 24 inch screens video quality is pretty good. The fact that it is a touchscreen is a nice touch but one that is not necessarily needed in a desktop in my opinion. The WebCam is only 720P so it’s serviceable but not top-notch and while speakers are included, the volume was not where I would expect it to be and the sound quality was nowhere near what I thought it should be. The Asus AIO is quick and responsive, but with only 8 GB of RAM (that is soldered on) if you do anything that is RAM intensive you may fall short. Don’t get me wrong. There are many positive attributes, but I just thought I would point out the caveats to take into consideration when purchasing this PC, if you need more RAM or SSD space this might not fit the bill.

    Disappointed AIO Desktop User

We were excited to try our first AIO (all in one) desk top computer: smaller footprint, ease of set up and not having to route a bunch of wires and cables from tower to monitor. This computer certainly did accomplish all of those hopes. However the computer performs far below every other desk top computer I've ever had (very slow) and in fact as well performs far below most laptops I current own, one laptop made by Asus far out performs this AIO desktop computer. The camera is low quality, the touch screen is nice but small print is a bit fuzzy and videos are sticky. The sound quality is also not there so external speakers will need to be added. Downloading drivers for some basic stuff filled up over half the memory on the first day. This computer seems as if it was a great idea that at the last moment wasn't followed through on in a quality level that Asus has demonstrated before in their high end laptops and desk top computers. There is no SD card slot. And the included wireless mouse is small so we added our own mouse but if the included toggle for the include mouse is removed then the included keyboard doesn't work, so one has to keep the included toggle plugged in. We purchased a new wireless keyboard and are awaiting its arrival so as to remedy that problem. All in all I guess its a decent AIO desk top computer for the money but it could of been just so much better.

A sleek all in one with the bonus of touch

The Asus A3402T is a all in one PC so there is no tower to connect. Instead everything is built into the screen hence the term "all in one". Overall its pretty slim and light for a AIO PC. Very modern and sleek looking. Doesn't take up much space at all on a desk. This all makes it easy to move around and assuming you don't add anything to the ports it only has one cord for power. The stand is sturdy and overall the PC itself seems solid. What you would expect from Asus. This model is a 12th gen i5 / 8gb ram / 256gb ssd with integrated Intel GPU. With those specs in 2022/2023 I would consider this a mid-tier computer. If you are looking for better specs or more space there is another higher end version of this exact model available. Its extremely quiet. I pushed it a bit and didn't hear any fan noise. I'm assuming this is because its using a laptop version of the i5 processor? They included dual band wifi 6 but no 6e support. Lots of ports. Most of the ports are on the back and nicely placed for easy access. Headphone jack is on the bottom of course for easy access. The display looks to be a 24" 1080p IPS LCD with touch screen support. Its matte instead of glossy which helps with fingerprints when using the touch screen. In a future model I would like to see the screen go all the way down to the bottom and that bottom plastic frame disappear. The screen doesn't get super bright but bright enough for typical day to day usage. Adding a built in camera and the placement of it above the screen is a nice added touch. Keyboard and mouse are wireless via a little dongle that gets plugged into a usb in the back. Batteries for both are included. I really liked the aesthetics of the included keyboard and mouse until I started using them. They just feel really cheap and plasticky. Keyboard feels mushy when typing. Some people may not mind but I feel they should have included something of better quality. Of course you can replace if you want. It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Home edition. After your first boot make sure to update via Windows Update as there is a lot of driver and security updates. The Windows 11 image this comes with was VERY clean. Minimal add-ons. The only extra stuff I noticed was some Asus software. Appreciate that! My day to day usage has been smooth so far. I experienced no real lag or issues while using. In all this is a solid choice if you are looking for a every day desktop computer with a minimal foot print. Would make a great family PC.

Using this as a replacement for the wife's computer, which has iTunes on it. The unpacking was no problem, and everything was there. I had some issues getting the wireless keyboard and mouse to work. For the keyboard, I had to remove the batteries and put them back in. For the mouse, I couldn't see but it had a clear plastic wrap on the battery, so wouldn't connect. Once I removed the battery, then the wrap was obvious, and it worked fine after that. The keyboard and mouse (both wireless) felt a bit on the flimsy side, but my wife was comfortable with both, and she's an excellent typist. Once the computer was powered up, it went through the initial Windows setup and downloaded numerous updates. This is the first computer we've had with Windows 11, so it's a bit of a learning curve from previous versions. After using the computer for a day, she declares the computer worked well, was smoother to use than the previous computer (which had far less CPU power), and she was overall pleased with it. The one issue for our use is the lack of an optical drive. We still purchase audio CDs and rip them into iTunes for adding to her phone. I will need to purchase an external USB drive so I can continue to rips her CDs. I have shared optical drives on Windows computers before, but that's not really a convenient way to do it. Overall a solid B, maybe even a B+ effort. She was amazed the entire PC was within the monitor, as she had never seen one like that before.

Bought this computer for my granddaughters high school graduation present. She was thrilled and already had it set up and in use and is raving about the computer. Already said it helped on a recent presentation.
