This replaced a 7 year old router. I was having issues reaching the far end of my house. This router has no issues providing signal to my entire house and some of the yard.

This router is great because I live in a 3 story condo and I get no slow down on any of my computers, tablets, cell phones, tvs or even the video game systems we have. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

We also purchased this ASUS router due to we needed one. Staff convinced us it was worth the price and performance for both of them. This router is very fast and reaches outside as well.

After replacing my older router with ASUS, I noticed a huge difference in internet speed. The connection seems to be more intact with three antennas to help boost the signal.

Increased my wireless speed tremendously . The only issue I have is I wish it had a better range .

This router does everything it is supposed to. The router provided by service provider was woefully inadequate for higher speed,range, etc. This one allows us the speed we're paying for with no dead spots.

I bought this router to replace the WiFi portion of the Modem provided by Spectrum which did not provide an adequate signal to reach all the devices in my house - it just didn't have the range. This router can be used alone or if you live in a larger home and need the extra coverage, it can be used to create a Mesh network with other compatible Asus routers. Setting up the router is very easy, you need to connect the router to a computer or laptop and once you power it up it will launch a quick setup option that asks a few questions and you're done. It is also possible to set it up using your smartphone by downloading the app and as I have an Android device I downloaded it from Google Play and used the app to see what devices were connecting with the router and to configure the security settings. I thought I might need two to set up a mesh network but this one router reached every device in my house and provided sufficient throughput to allow me to stream Netflix 4K HDR programs with ease. I found that placing it on a high shelf significantly increased it's range. As I didn't have one, I bought a glass shelf at Home Depot that mounts right onto the wall and placed it seven feet above the floor and to hide the wires going up the wall to the router I bought a 1" PVC pipe and snaked the wires through it. To make it blend with the wall I painted it the same color as the wall as I had some paint left and I ran it up the wall next to the door frame. As I recently added another Smart TV at the far end of my house far from the router, I needed the extra range and this router did the trick.

Very easy set up, recommended by our Internet provider, No problems, issues at all. Handles all our streaming needs. Great Price! You can not go wrong with this purchase!

Very simple to set up and works really well all around my house I have a full signal on everything I have connected also works well with all devices connected.

After 3 separate routers of varying brands, this is the first that I've gotten I'm really happy with. Feature heavy, impressive range and consistent performance earn his 5 stars from me.

After struggling with our last combination router and modem we were so frustrated. Best Buy suggested the two separate units. Speed and reliability are so much better.

This router is super fast and reliable. I have had pricey netgears and dlink routers and have had trouble with them. This Asus has been working great.

Easy to setup, excellent range and signal. I bought this after spending a couple of hours with my previous netgear router IT phone call and later return. Definitely worth the price.

Replaced my Failed one year old NetGear router with this router and it was a wise choice. This router is Fast And more Secure than NetGear, no drop out! very nice router.

This router works fine, mostly. It's fast, has lots of features, and the UI is good. Both main and guest Wi-Fi networks are available, both 2.4 and 5 GHz. It has two USB ports - a slow one to plug a printer into so the router can be used as a print server, and a fast one to plug a disk into for use as NAS (served via DLNA media server, or accessed via an FTP client). These features are uncommon among routers (especially the print server), but I use them both and they work well. The router has several other features I have not used, for instance a way to tie multiple routers together to form a mesh network (for those who live in very large houses). My only complaint is that mobile phones lose connection to the router too frequently. I'm not certain whether the router or the phones are responsible, but everything reconnects if I reboot the router.

I just recently set up two of these bad boys for a client and each were a breeze to set up and instantly gave blazing fast speeds over wifi. I highly recommend them.

Credentials: Power user I have 5 people living in my house which means I usually have at least 1 online gaming session and 2 streaming sessions (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). It handles it all without a sweat. Granted, I have a 100 mbps download speed, but the router certainly is not limiting me by any means. For power users: This router also gives you the tools to monitor your network. They aren't the most sophisticated, but you can limit bandwidth to specific machines and see who is hogging all of it in the first place. But you've read other reviews that tell you that. I'll tell you it's pretty intuitive.

I would recommend this product. Very easy to set up via mobile/tablet. I had dead spots in the house and with the new router I can pull full signal throughout my 2-story home.
