Not the easiest router to set-up but the performance has been excellent and the internet security features were highly recommended by IT professionals. Since I have added a number of Internet of Things (smart locks, lights, thermostat, etc) to my new home this was important.

I went to best buy to scout out my next wifi router. The worker in the area was outstanding with helpful information in giving me direction after telling him what my needs were and carrier. I was already moving to the Asus brand from a coworkers recommendations. The rt1900p is very easy to set up 1 minute after you get it wired up your done. I replaced a 2.4 link system. The speed from it was 24 with the new Asus it ramped up 100 in 2.4. I then switched connection to the 5g and tested again and wow 177 for the download speed.
Thanks for the help

I've actually had this router for about 3 years now, it has been consistently excellent. Recently picked up another for my parents' house. Great range, doesn't drop connection, and has a solid set of advanced features for those with some networking savvy. The built-in DDNS is particularly useful; I set mine up so that I can access my bittorrent client remotely, among other things. Can also be easily flashed with Asuswrt-Merlin for additional upgrades - the firmware support is phenomenal, regularly updated.

Very quick to set up. Has a in-depth interface to control all settings. The range was a lot better than my last N router. The ac speed was great!

This is a great ASUS router. I had an older model before this (only went up to "N" protocol) but worked great for me for about 5 years. Had gotten one of those for my Mom, as well, and have recommended ASUS routers to friends for years. That one started to be a little funny, where I had to reset it about once every few days so I got this one. Same simple UI and setup. Great range and speed. Love it. This one has a button to turn off the LEDs if you want, but I prefer to be able to see those at a glance, if needed.

I bought this Asus - Wireless-AC Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router after my previous one gave up the ghost after 7-8 years. In all actuality, the previous one still worked but I had to tape the power button down to keep the unit on. It is easy to set up, took less than to minutes to setup the hardware and make network addressing changes to not conflict with another unit on the network. The signal stregnth is great. Living in an old victorian home with plaster walls, I have not had issues connecting. Asus has always put out a quality product.

The set up for this products was a breeze. I also appreciate the way the router stands upright-makes it so much easier to hide unsightly cords! We stream constantly, have several devices connected and never have an issue!

I had an only DIR-655 that had started to drop connections every day and automatically reboot. With all my new devices and growing network, it simply couldn't handle the 802.11ac demands and speed. Plus it was single-band and didn't have great signal. I knew I had to upgrade.
After spending days and countless hours reading router reviews on everything from hardcore tech sites to ecommerce sites, I kept coming across this router. It was one of the few routers that had consistently excellent reviews, and also had a longer warranty (unlike some that only give you any real support for 90 days and then expect you to pay more to get troubleshooting help). I read tons of reviews here on Best Buy about this router and on other sites, and decided this would meet all my needs and then some.
Boy, am I happy I did! This router is awesome. I now get full signal throughout my entire home AND I get wifi speeds that are almost identical to my hardwired desktop connection. I've had zero reboots or dropped signals in the first week. Blazed speeds. The router looks cool (instead of the alien ship look that other routers have)...and it has tons of great security features, guest networks, etc. I am VERY happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
Oh, btw, this version of the router is exclusive to Amazon. It has a faster processor than the version you can find on the other big ecommerce giant. So if you're considering getting it, the latest & fastest version is only available with Best Buy. Again, EXCELLENT router. A huge step up from what I had before.

Originally i picked up the Linksys 2200 Max stream router with very high hopes of it improving my network. After 2 weeks of fighting to get more the 80 Mbps out of it I gave up. From my modem i was getting 297 Mbps but even wired from the Linksys 2200 i could only get 80. took it back and picked up The Asus RT-AC 1900P . It was easy to setup and working like a a champ. I am now thinking about picking up another RT-AC1900 and make use of the AiMesh capabilities.

I was using an old Netgear router that was starting to drop signal and was looking for a replacement that would give me coverage in the front part of my house, without having to set up a mesh with multiple units. This ASUS has done a great job and I’m very pleased. I have our Sonos connected to the 2.4 band as well as my PC and still works great. I use the 5Ghz band for our iPhones and such and it works very well. I’m quite pleased and would recommend this router.

Simple app to use for easy parental controls. I get roughly 11MBs transfer speeds from my wireless desktop when transferring files to the hard drive I have connected to it. We use it for media throughout the house on other devices. Only has 4 lan ports though. I'm currently only using 1 though for a CCU to play stadia. I have a big 2 story house and we get coverage everywhere. But if you have a bigger house you can set this up in a mesh environment. I'm right at 2 years so hopefully it doesn't die right after my warranty expires like most routers do. Overall I'm very happy with it.

This ASUS RT-AC1900P was a replacement for my RT-AC66R after 5 years, which stopped working because the power button would not stay "on". So rather than pay the repair costs of the old unit, I spent a bit more for this new unit. The 1900P gives me a stronger signal throughout my house, than the 66R, which is made more difficult by the copper covered door to the AV cabinet where the router is housed. The price was very comparable to my previous purchase. Set-up was fairly straight-forward.

This router was very easy to set up and was up and running within 10 minutes of being taken out of the box. It also provides stronger signals throughout the house than the router it replaced and the upgrade in speed (i.e. N to AC router) is very noticeable. So far I only have one issue with the router. The scanner feature on my wireless printer has slowed to a crawl. The printer works fine, but the scanner is painfully slow. I've reinstalled the old router and the scanner works fine so I know it's the router. I'll keep working on it and see if I can find the right router tweek to make it work the way it originally did.

The Wi-Fi router is located in the living room of our medium sized condo and the coverage is very good throughout the unit, including the back master bedroom. The speed is very good too. The only issue I had was in the setup, of which I had to attempt it twice, but it has worked great since then.

I finally broke free from my hellish deal with Time Warner (now Spectrum) and switched to a local provider. Their speeds are faster and keep costs low, but they only supplied the cable modem. I looked around the Best Buy website and found this router to be the best all around in terms of strong reviews, performance and affordability. A pleasant surprise was how easy it was to set it up and navigate the ASUS menu. Since we got it up and running we have had no problems whatsoever.

I had a two year old Linksys high end router that was giving me fits. Dropping WIFI and requiring re-boots often. I upgraded to the newest version and the problems persisted. I tried two of the Linksys routers before giving up and buying this ASUS router. Setup was easy, it has been running now for a month with no problems. Speed is super fast and I can connect anywhere in the house without dropping.
Don't waste your money on any other router - the ASUS Dual band is the best!

My security system expert also does IT, and he recommended this one. No issues, easy to setup, and we definitely have increased speed. Will buy another one of these in the future!
