My neighbor "Greenman" said he wasn't a fan of this router, but purchased anyway based on my extensive research of this Wi-Fi bad boy. I now have Wi-Fi throughout my home, which replaced the router portion of my Comcast modem/router. Fantastic range and strength of signal to all devices. I have an old plaster wall/brick home and was told I had to hard wire everything to get a connection. No so with this router. Works like a charm. Router app is superb for control over every aspect.

I was having tons of issues with the built in wifi supplied by my ISP. I bought this router and haven't had any problems sent. Speed is great and it covers my whole house. I couldn't be happier.

I purchased this router to replace a Belkin N router. This router is dual band 2.4gig and 5.0gig. The router is very easy to setup and handles all 12 online devices with ease. Great Router!!!

We were having definite network problems even after taking Comcast's advice and updating our modem. This router got all our devices (5-6 could be in use at a given time in our house) working better than ever. We stream all the time and the Best Buy associate recommended this Asus as on par with the other big names in networking. Since the price was less than the other brands it just made sense. Range of service was also improved and it couldn't have been easier to set up.

This was the easiest router I have ever setup, and seems to adequately handle everything I have thrown at it with my local fiber internet. I am a little worried it will not handle 4k (and my house-full of devices) as well when I upgrade my TV, but no complaints so far.

Works Great! Initial Set-up was quick and easy. Been running ever since initial set-up with no restarts needed. Fantastic coverage, can reach at all areas of my 2 acre lot.

Great replacement for an earlier router. Very simple set up and many great online features. Powerful with excellent coverage throughout the 2 floors and most of the yard.

I have had an ASUS router for years. My last one died when it took a bolt of lightening through it's little mechanical heart. I liked my last ASUS router so much that when it came time to replace it there was no other choice than another ASUS. Set-Up is easy, documentation is clear and easy to follow and, best of all, it works great! There ARE fancier routers with more bells and whistles but this model works GREAT!

I nneded to upgrade from my old D-Link that couldn't keep up. This isn't the newest or fastest router but here are a few good points. Regular firmware updates ASUS has a great user interface You can buy a faster ASUS router later on and us their Airmesh system to cover more space if you need it. So basically this router is future proof. It look pretty good for a router Downside - none yet.

Set up was semi easy for a non-techie like me. Tech support was good. Coverage is sufficient for 2400 sq ft home. looks great and premium. over all I am very satisfied.

This is perfect for gaming on multiple devices. I haven’t had any connectivity issues and it definitely works better than anything you get from your internet provider

This is a fantastic router. I had the previous version of this one which was the RT-68U. It lasted me 5 years but got struck by lightning. Since it was so good, I figured why change. This current router is an updated revision of it. I can stream Blu-ray quality HD over the 2.4 Wifi network flawlessly with this router even over distances of 45 feet through walls and all without a problem. I have a hard drive connected to it through the USB 3.0 port on the back to share access to my movies all over the house. Have an an HDhomerun connected to it as well for OTA television and again, can stream those HD channels anywhere in the house. I have over 2 acres of land also and can be out in my backyard at the extreme end if it which is 100+ feet away and STILL connect to the WiFi from this router on my cell. Even when we have over 6 connections at once going on via WiFi it just keeps performing well no matter if it's streaming HD video or Netflix, etc. The wireless capabilities on this router are the best I've seen both for general connectivity and networking. My review is based heavily on this because I know many of you will be using these functions primarily. You shouldn't have any problems. Also keep in mind that the previous revision, the RT-68U, was rated one of the best ever on CNET. Wired networking is as good as ever as well. It has dual WAN capabilities which is important if you reside somewhere in a rural area without good data access which is my situation. It also has the latest security features, can manage a samba, upnp or print server from it through it's USB ports not to mention connect to this router remotely to access your files away from home. It has it all! For this price you are really getting an Enterprise class router almost. It will go well above and beyond for the average home user but honestly, this router would work very well for a business owner with an office of employees as well.

Seriously, the best wireless router I've ever had the pleasure of setting up. Coming from frustrating past experiences with Linksys, I am beyond thrilled that ASUS continues to set their standards high and produce amazing tech. With my internet speed upgrade, this router has had ZERO lag and NO signal drop, even running FFXIV on 2 PS4 consoles plus a game PC streaming Youtube. Would definitely buy from ASUS again!

This thing is FAST! stable! and reliable! you have to spend at least $140 these days to get a router that is worst spending any money at all on. I have an 1800+ sq\ft two level house and this covers every inch of the house plus the outside seating area and the garage without skipping a bar of signal. If you don't need a crazy costly "gaming" router but still want a great unit this is a "Best Buy" ;)

Easy setup. Provides complete coverage upstairs and downstairs. Very robust and reliable.

This item was recommended to me by people who know way more about computers and routers than I do. I just know that if I wasn't sitting right in front of my old router that I was not able to get any wifi signal and that my wired speeds were a lot slower than they should have been and this ASUS fixed all of that and then some. I can get WiFi anywhere in my house, and even out in my front or back yard.

I have been totally impressed with this router. I never knew what I was missing with my old unit until I started using the ASUS. The control available in the web-based interface is fantastic. The speed and range are top notch as well. And it can be used with another compatible ASUS router to create a mesh network for expanded range for large houses or hard to reach areas.

This is one of the best routers I have ever owned have no problem with it had it for over a year great reception great security will pick up over 800 feet down my driveway running 100 MP they matched Amazon's price like I had said I would recommend this product to anyone this is one of the best routers I've ever owned I have spry my 6th one not that brand other brands

Bought this to replace an ancient WNDR4500 that Netgear no longer supports with firmware updates. That old router was still working fine but with no firmware updates available, security was becoming an issue. Did not have any issues installing or setting up the new ASUS router to include a guest network. My home is lath and plaster with a 20 foot brick fireplace in the middle providing some challenges for a wireless router. The coverage with the AC1900p is excellent and it is comforting to know that ASUS is still providing firmware updates for this model. The AC1900p has built in security from Trend Micro that provides a warning when you when try to access a potentially "bad" web site. This router, which is only available at Best Buy, has a slightly faster processor than ASUS’s other AC1900 routers. I have noticed improved transfer speeds over my wired network that may be due in part to the faster processor. If you need a new router and this is your price point, I highly recommend the ASUS 1900p.
