Raise your hand if your new PC has an optical drive. Anyone? Didn't think so. Even modern laptops don't have them anymore. ASUS hasn't realized that USB drives are how files are transferred nowadays. They're a tech company, right? They manufacture hardware, right? SMH. Anyway, it works well once you track down someone with an external optical drive, but what a pain! Or I guess you can give ASUS more money and buy one of *their* optical drives.

Not a fan of having to buy an optical drive to get the drivers loaded, but it works so I'll let it slide this time. 2023 is almost half over guys, get with the program.

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With the correct driver downloaded for this i only get like 15mbps varying sometimes down to 5mbps. I have 1200mbps internet speeds and am able to achieve great speeds on a different computer with a supposedly worse wifi card. I dont know goe to fix the issue so i just plugged the pc with low speed into the one with the okder wifi card to share the connection over broadband. Have tried reinstalling the device and chsnging pcie slots and chsnging DNS servers. The router is directly beneath the computer downstairs on the main floor.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on a sale and I am glade I did. I was previously using the ASUS AC1200 USB. It was great for general usage, but when it came to gaming, I would get drops. I am about 7 yards away from the router and a few walls in between. The AC1900 has no problem connecting to the router. I do get drops once in a great while, but it quickly picks up again without me missing a beat (unlike the AC1200 USB). I am planning on buying more for my kid's computer as they are currently using the AC1200 USB as well.
