Please accept our sincere apologies for the issue you’re experiencing with the 5Ghz connection. This is absolutely not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. ASUS ensures all products are manufactured with materials that comply with industry's quality standard and each one undergoes intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. Did you attempt to update the drivers from our support site? If not, please proceed to do so with the URL below.
Steps to install:
1. After the download is completed go to where you saved the folder. (By default everything you download from the Internet is saved to the Downloads folder)
2. Right click on the folder and choose ''Extract All'' and then choose ''Extract'' again.
3. After all the contents have been extracted you may delete/disregard the folder with the zip icon.
4. Next, open the SETUP file, PNPINST64, pnputil.exe or Install Package (In most cases it is a setup.exe file)
5. Please choose to 'repair' or 'update' the existing installation (driver) if any one of those options do appear in the set up.
6 Finally, restart after the installation is completed.

Waste of time and money.

I literally tried every setting change and driver with no success.

Works Well Almost All the Time

Browsing the internet, talking in discord calls, stuff like that it does fine. But sometimes when I played certain games, my latency would spike to almost 4000 - 6000 ping. Also have had a couple instances where it just refuse to connect, but the next day it was fine. But that rarely ever happens now so that's nice. Anyways I would recommend this if you're looking for something rather cheap compared to other similar products.

I haven't been able to put it through its paces yet (just installed today) but so far, it fits the bill, and I can access my wireless networks. No driver installation necessary, so none of the headache I typically encounter of having to compile one myself, while Kali is missing gcc-5
