Customers are saying
Customers are enthusiastic about the AX6000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Router's impressive range, ease of use, and strong performance, both wired and wireless. Many appreciate the numerous Ethernet ports and the straightforward setup process. While some find the price a bit high, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs this concern for most users. The router's Wi-Fi 6 capabilities and robust security features are also frequently praised.

Bells and Whistles (and sore spots)
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Supurb when it functions, but not stable. Bought this for the bandwidth and features it can support. Firmware (or hardware) has been continuously buggy, every versions. Wifi will periodically disappear and re-appear. Wired connections remain connected during that time. System log shows nothing wrong. Also, have had to reset and reconfigure it every couple weeks. The 5G channel will stop working and nothing short of a hard reset or two or three in a row will bring it back up. Once it comes back, it will be fine for a couple weeks and it will happen again. Rebooting doesn't help the problem. Alternative firmware (Merlin) is available but does not remedy the problem either. All the bells and whistles are there as optional features in the config, but the stock firmware lacks the most basic of all for a wifi router: wifi network scanning. Not worth the money when there are stability issues; I'd probably go with a high end Linksys or using a NUC with wifi as a router.

Top notch wireless router!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup of this router is about as easy as they come where right out of box you simply connect it to the internet and then connect to the wireless network. Once you do that, it'll walk through the steps to set it up and you're all set. I like the fact tha it was easy and fast to setup! Here's a sumamry of what I have found so far: Its fast - very fast! You can tell by navigating it's adminstration/configuration pages that it's fast as it's smooth and quick to apply most settings. Not only that, the WiFi is blazing fast on the 5ghz bands. Files can actually transfer as fast or faster than they do on the gigabit ethernet which I think is pretty amazing. It's future proofed with the latest WiFi standards and ASUS is updating it as the 802.11ax standard is updated. Note to really benefit from this latest standard that your wireless device must also support it. That said, it's fully compatible with all of the other 802.11 standards like ac, a, b, g, n. Flexibility and built in features- It offfers both simple and advanced configurations so you can set it up to suit your needs. You can connect hard drives to it and setup your own cloud service to access you files safely from where ever you are outside of your network. It even offers a way to back up that drive to the cloud so your data is safe if there's a crash. The traffic monitoring and the antivirus is pretty awesome as well. If your on an ISP that monitors your bandwidth and you want to see where it all goes (by computer, by application/site) this router definitely does that and does it well! The gaming and QoS features work surprisingly well. The game booster doesn't necessarily work with all games but there is a fairly good size list and they are adding more. It does add a fair amount of difference on games that have heavy network traffice/load like while playing World of Warcraft in raids and I've noticed a difference with it turned on and off. Signal - The signal from this router is strong on both the 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz bands and covers my two story house just fine. Ports! For anyone who has a home with built-in ethernet this is a router I'd highly recommend for you! 8 gigabit ports offers more than enough for most needs that way. Stability - This is probably one of the most important things to me when evaluating a router against all of the features. It's one thing to have it be fast and offer a ton of features but it's most important that it's stable. In testing the couple of weeks I've had it going so far I haven't had to reboot it once and based on how well it's performing am not expecting that'll be something that's necessary. So far the performance and stability has been rock solid. There are a number of other features that make this router a good one to go with but these are the ones I found most impressive. There are some others like Alexa and IFTTT capabilities so you can easily turn on/off your guest network with ease for example. The stability of the router so far is top notch. Overall, I'd highly recommend this router for a number of reasons outside of it just being fast and stable which are essential to any router. It offers a number of features that are easy to use and really set it apart from other routers I've had int he past including the one this one replaced.

great router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried another wifi 6 router but had trouble when my other devices couldn't connect. I had one minor problem when I first got the ASUS router. The firmware would not upgrade automatically. I had to perform a manual firmware upgrade to get everything working but after that I have had no problems and I am very pleased.

Worth the upgrade.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quadrupled my download speeds from 55 to 230 on my cell phone and that is without using ax since none of my devices are ax yet. Excellent range and I like that it has security built in. Only con is lack of directions but I have limited networking knowledge and I figured it out.

Better router for streaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good step up router. We had been getting bad wi-fi drops and after many service calls from Spectrum employees, they suggested we get a better router because the ones they give out aren’t good. It has significantly improved buffering while streaming.

Wifi6 is necessary
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my ATT router when I switched to fiber. Definitely worth the investment for wifi6. The user interface to setup the device was extremely easy and offered features for gaming. I thought I would regret my purchase based on the cost but that was definitely not the case.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With everyone home now, I needed a router that would support all the devices and provide a reliable connection. This Asus router has not disappointed. 3 iPads Pixel Slate 4 laptops 4 cell phones 3 smart TVs 4 cameras 4 Google hubs 4 gaming systems And more running and streaming with no issues.

Great router!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is a beast. I live in a 1750 SF home built in 1928 - so all plaster, brick, etc. It works great with no loss of signal. I work from home and couldn't be happier.

ASUS AX6000 - Great Router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router for the price! Replaced an ASUS RT-AC86U which was also good before dying. I have another RT-AC86U as an Aimesh node. This is the best and easiest network I've ever had. If I needed more power, I would go with the AX6100 Aimesh System.

Great wireless
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a big improvement over my Xfinity gateway. I'm getting much better wireless speeds and great coverage. The router has many more options than I will ever need, but it's nice to know they're available. The Asus IOS apps are also very good and easy to use.

Thumbs Up
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most routers seem to fall far off the mark but this one has been great. I have it working with two nodes and have a great signal all the way out to my pool where I stream movies to.
