Many appreciate the numerous Ethernet ports and the straightforward setup process. Very nice router!! Highly recommended! I originally purchased this a little while back and it worked great! No problems at all! I have since upgraded to the GT-AX11000 and added a RT-AX86U as a Aimesh node! I originally had the 88U hosting my network. Get this, especially if you find it for less than $349! It will give any NetGear router currently out a run for its money! Promise you!

Rt ax 88u is a complicated piece of machinery that once set it can handles three AiMesh nodes. Rt ax 58u zaku 2, RtAx 58u and RtAx - 3000. The speed on LAN is unbelievably fast and ISP rates are 580mB. The systen has 66 staic address’s assigned, 34 devices running on the average. If want to learn networking Asus is the that will teach plud hanflr your loads.

I had the Netgear Nighthawk AX8 before I returned that piece of trash for this lovely device. Very easy to use, simple to setup, great speeds and 8 Ethernet ports! Looks sick too :) I love ASUS routers and should have bought this the first time, you won’t be disappointed.

I was pricing around for WiFi 6 routers and an overall upgrade to my home network. I also wanted the capability of having 1 SSID and this router has everything you need for exceptional home networking. Also for the price I was sold compared to others who wanted $400 and up .I always look for quality verse value or meet right in the middle. I haven’t had problems with my system and also using a same brand repeater (RP-AC1900) to extend my range .

Bought this router to replace my old LinkSys as the number of devices at home increases in the last two years (IoT, cameras, smart switch, smart lights, smart plugs, etc...) This ASUS - AX6000 Wifi-6 allows me to have more connected devices without them competing with each other (somehow my old router start dropping devices when more than 50 devices connected at the same time). I also notice that range on this AX6000 is better than my old linksys one.

I upgraded from an older Apple Airport Extreme to the ASUS AX6000. I didn't have prior experience with the ASUS brand, but it was recommended as compatible with the VPN service I use and had good reviews, so I figured I'd try it out. The wizard made it easy to set up, and the WiFi6 speeds are a huge improvement!

Have had this a little over 6 months and it has worked flawlessly. Excellent wifi coverage and great performance wired and wireless. Really like have the 8 ethernet ports as all my PC's and gaming consoles are hard wired. The user interface is somewhat easy to program though it can be a bit confusing and there are alot of settings that can be checked and changed but don't need to be touched for basic use.

I was debating between this router and the AX11000 gaming router. The biggest difference that pushed me towards this router was the extra network ports. This router has a total of 8 network ports while the gaming router has 5 total. This router is perfect for those who have a lot of networked devices. The speeds are really good and the signal strength is perfect.

This is my first Asus router. I've long used Linksys and Netgear. I'm coming from a Netgear nighthawk x4 (r7500). I have a good bit of experience with networking. Here's my experience so far. There is a bit of a learning curve, if new to Asus routers. Still very easy to navigate the firmware. The set up was simple and easy. Once configured I noticed a huge difference in my network. Most items reacted much quicker to commands. All of my streaming devices have stopped buffering. When loading into online games on my consoles I notice they load much quicker. I also noticed the network range has been improved. My home is 2400 sq ft. I'm able to get at least 100mbps at the furthest part away from the router (80 ft away, outside of the house, backyard fence). So far I only have one Wifi 6 device, an HP laptop, that is able to download at 908 mbps and upload at 893 mbps (limited by my ISP). I haven't tested any host to host file transfers yet. I can imaging it's going to be a major improvment. My Netgear router would just drop connection when transferring files over wifi. I only had one issue with an older wireless N device. It just would not pick up the wireless signal of these device. I don't know why, but I quickly got around that by setting up the Netgear as an AP. In my opinion this router might help me forget I have a router. Everything just works and works better. Giving it 4 stars because the price is a bit steep. Hopefully it proves to be worth it.

This router ha everything going for it: Wi-Fi 6 and WPA3 support, eight Gigabit LAN ports in addition to Gigabit WAN, and a 64-bit quad-core processor running at 1.8GHz. It also supports ASUS's AI Mesh networking technology, which extends the range and strength of your wireless signal. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely no qulams with this new router so far.. I have great service on both bands and the reach of them are amazing comming from the ac3100.. Purchased this due to the 3100 overheating, this thing never gets hot.. I've got 32 devices hooked up with no lag, or disconnects, which is what is always wanted in a router.. Great buy!

As a longtime Netgear user I did not want to switch brands but I had horrible experiences with latest gear. The ASUS software has superior in capabilities, reliability and performance. The ASUS hardware has better coverage and performs better.

This is my 4th Asus router in 3 months- The best one yet! I purchased a rt-ax 68u and after a few months, it started dropping the signal. I tried resetting it and had trouble. I called Asus and they said it was defective and to send it in or return it to Amazon. I exchanged it for another one. I had trouble within a few days with the second one. I again called Asus and they said I needed a node so I ordered the Asus blue cave. The signal didn't improve so I returned both of them. I then ordered the rt-ax88u. I have had it a couple of weeks and things are going much better. It drops the signal but then reconnects on its own within a few minutes. Overall, I am satisfied with this model. It seems to do the job of connecting all 50 or so devices. I am getting a 90 warranty extension for this review.

    RT-AX88U as AiMesh Master

Growing tired of inconsistent Wi-Fi I finally upgraded my home to ASUS AiMesh. The RT-AX88U is the primary router with a trio of ZenWiFi (XD4) as Access Points. My home is a sprawling ranch and mostly wired networking, so the XD4 use a wired backhaul. The AX88U was easy to set up but the XD4s had to be reset to join. I now have a single mesh with consistent coverage and handover. The ASUS tools enable a clear view of the mesh and allows for firmware monitoring and upgrading. Change the third octet meant resetting all reservations, but I work in IT so not too challenging. A printer no longer drops due to NTP issues and all hosts remain active. The 8-port switch in the AX88U connects to the APs and separate unmanaged switches for 1GbE or wireless everywhere. There might be less expensive options, but probably not as robust.

I bought this router to replace an older cable/modem combo. I had no problem setting up the router. Once I logged into the dashboard, it was a easy and guided quick start guide that had me connected within about 10 minutes. There's a lot of nice features in the router including QoS packet priority for gaming, a built in internet bandwidth speed test and a priority device setting where you can prioritize which devices get higher priority on your network. I set my XBox as number one over the boss lady's Roku, let's hope she doesn't find out that my Call of Duty is getting priority over the Real Housewives of whatever. Overall, I've been very pleased with this router.

I was skeptical about this router but it delivers very high speeds and using the AI connects to multiple routers seamlessly. Never drop signal and have tons of range when placed around the house. My entire yard has WiFi including my shop.
