Avoid way better options out there I went with eh Orbi and is not even wifi 6 and it beats the living out of this garbage.

Probably will sell the extra as it is not needed now. Only complaint is price of all the AiMesh stuff.

Doesn't appear to be stable long term. I paid a lot for it but am disappointed in how frequently it drops connection.

Asus, doing MESH how it should be done.

I can add any of the new ASUS routers to this system. Therefore, if I want a GAMING node, I put that router near my Gamer RIG.

Best Router setup /Network map compared to other brands. Setup with Asus router is the best. Modern software not the setup like old routers.

And if you use wifi calling like I do (no service in my house) if your moving around, or sitting in a crossover area, you'll drop the call guaranteed.

The wireless backhaul (when the router "talks between them") wasn't working properly even with Asus support to set up.

Waste of time!

It was running pretty smoothly until this morning when the main and the second until altogether stopped working. Unfortunately, it happened just when I was leaving for work and have not had much time to spend troubleshooting it except for restarting both the units. I'll update this review when and if I'm able to resolve this. I would really hate to have to return it, but that's my last option.

We are terribly sorry for the device stopped working and for the inconvenience this has caused you. This model undergoes intensive quality control testing and final inspection for both hardware and software. ASUS provides a warranty for the unit in order to fix or repair any isolated issue. This information will be passed on to our development team. Please allow us to make your experience better. We are recommending completing a hard reset on the router.
1. Turn the router power off.
2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on.
3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button).
4. Power light starts flashing for about 5 seconds.
5. Keep holding until the power light stops flashing and the router will automatically reboot.

The software is good and the features for QOS and bandwidth limiting are great. However, after the last firmware update, I would lose approximately 10 Mbs per second on download over wired vs. plugged directly into the AT&T router. I only get 30 Mbs so 10 Mbs is a big loss of speed. Wasn't like that when I first got it, so I took it back not wanting to gamble on whether or not they would fix the issues. Bought another Asus with nearly the same software, also a Wifi 6 gaming router, and it has been rock solid. Glad I decided to take this back.
