Asus brand computers and chromebooks have been my favorite for the last decade, and this chromebook is no exception. Aesthetically its beautiful, crisp white, with a sleek and modern deign it feels good in the hand, fits easily in your bag and is substantial yet feels light as a feather. Inside you will be nothing short of blown away, the processor is blazing fast loading pages and videos on the blink of an eye, there is a generous hard drive rivaling other windows computers affording you plenty of space for pictures, movies, the dreaded work files, and even some gaming if thats your thing. The battery life is outstanding easily surpassing rhe suggested battery runtime, I've gone 12 hours on a single charge. All in all, ots a fantastic chromebook, at an amazinglybaffordable price, with quality parts and manufacturing inside and out. Dont hesitate, youre worth it, and so is this computer. Go ahead, you wont regret it.

I purchased an ASUS laptop for my daughter as a Christmas gift, and it has exceeded every expectation. ASUS has always been a brand I trust for its quality, and this laptop is no exception. From the moment we unboxed it, the sleek design and high-quality materials were immediately evident—it feels like a premium product in every sense. The performance is flawless. It powers through tasks effortlessly, whether it’s for schoolwork, streaming her favorite shows, or even light gaming. The build quality is robust and reliable, giving me confidence that it will last for years. What really stood out is the thoughtful design—everything from the responsive keyboard to the vibrant display shows ASUS’s commitment to user experience. Another big plus is the value. This laptop is competitively priced but delivers the kind of performance and durability you’d expect from far more expensive models. It’s refreshing to see a company consistently deliver on its promises without cutting corners. If you’re looking for a laptop that combines quality, reliability, and affordability, ASUS is the way to go. My daughter loves it, and I’m thrilled with the purchase. Thank you, ASUS, for making her Christmas extra special!

This was my first time purchasing a Chromebook, and I was a bit hesitant. The majority of my work is done using web-based apps, so I thought this was a safe buy, at least until I find a Windows 11 laptop to replace my Windows 10. PROS: I'm glad I decided to make this purchase. I love how quickly it starts up. In seconds, it is ready for me to work. It is very light and easy to pack in my backpack or a light messenger bag. The charge is pretty good, depending on the brightness of the screen and the amount of energy the applications are pulling. Charging is pretty quick. I use this Chromebook to also do a little bit of writing. I found a few apps that are Chromebook-friendly for those who are writers or like to journal. The Chromebook makes good use of apps from the Google Play Store, unlike a PC or Mac The ability to lay the screen flat is a plus for those who are artists or need to draw on the screen. CONS The Cons to purchasing a Chromebook for me are no CD/DVD player. When you close out of apps such as Zoom or Evernote, you must completely log in, and the Zoom app does not remember any sign-in information once the app is closed. The volume on this one isn't the best, but it improves when you use earphones or earbuds. For me, what this little machine offers in regards to what I need, the cons are something I can live without. If you simply need a secondary machine, then I think this is a good buy. It's easy to carry around, whether to a coffee shop or on a trip.

Cons: audio is not premium, does not have backlit keys. The pros: white color is REALLY COOL. I love the look of this model. It's an extra durable laptop so its plastic but the chassis is hard & supposed to withstand some abuse. It's very lightweight. Easy to hold in one hand while couch web surfing. 2nd biggest pro is the laptop is very fast. Everything is instantaneous. Touchscreen & touchpad both work well & are responsive. I am going to return this laptop due to the fact that the Asus website and Best buy and other department retailers all say that this computer has backlit keyboard and it does not. I confirmed with ASUS tech support that it does not. The website has a discrepancy & it's not best buys fault. However, for $500, I am expecting backlit keys at the minimum. Especially when f and j keys do not have pronounced ridges for finding home on the keyboard. It pains me to take this back but i will not spend the money without this let feature. Again the i5 1335u is sickkk too. Great performance 14" beautiful Chromebook without any backlight for the keyboard

Great and functional for the price! I wanted a white laptop and don’t regret it. Works fast and easy for college and daily work stuff. The battery is actually amazing it lasts enough I feel like I barely charge it and I’m using it for hours! So far not disappointed for having it for a year now. Doesn’t get slow even with a lot of tabs open! Also the screen doesn’t have a cheap feeling, it doesn’t have the gap between the screen and the outer part layer of the laptop like other cheaper laptops.

Asus Puts The Plus In Chromebook Plus.

For the past week, I've been testing out the ASUS Chromebook Plus CX3402CVA, and l have to say it's been a great experience. Having reviewed a ton of Chromebooks before, this one felt like a step up in terms of quality and performance. First off, the build quality is impressive. It's mostly made of hard plastic but it feels more premium and polished. It's surprisingly lightweight, making it super portable, and it feels really well-balanced. I could even balance it on one leg and type on it comfortably. The speakers are surprisingly good, especially for a Chromebook. YouTube videos sounded fantastic, with very loud and crystal clear voices. Another area where the CX34 shines is with its selection of ports. There are two USB-C ports, which can be used for charging, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and even an audio jack. The only thing I felt it was missing was a SD or microSD slot. But, there are plenty of hubs that can add that functionality. Under the hood, this Chromebook Plus has a 13th generation i5 processor and 8 gigs of RAM. That might sound like overkill for a Chromebook, but honestly, I loved having the extra processing power. Everything I did felt snappy and responsive. Especially, when flipping through tabs or changing apps. The only downside on the storage side is that it only has 128GB hard drive, and 37GB is being used by the operating system which is pretty standard. For me, it wasn't a huge deal since I can always use an external drive or cloud storage, but it's something to consider. The display is another highlight. It's got a nice, slightly reflective finish and plenty of brightness to let you work comfortably even outdoors. The blacks are deep, the colors are vivid, and text looks crisp and clear. Also, I was surprised to discover it's a touchscreen as well, which is a fantastic feature you don't normally find on a Chromebook at this price point. The touchpad is comfortable to use and feels nice and solid when you click it. The keyboard is great for typing on too, although it doesn't have any backlight, which might be a bummer for some. As for the battery, I was easily able to get about 6 hours of productivity from it. And when it was time to recharge it performed the task in about an hour and 10 minutes. Overall, the ASUS Chromebook Plus is a premium Chromebook experience. It's well-built, has fantastic speakers, tons of ports, a powerful processor for a Chromebook, a beautiful display with a surprising touchscreen feature, and a comfortable touchpad and keyboard.

This Chromebook is my favorite out of the 3 I've owned. It's perfect for web browsing, journaling, and Xbox cloud gaming. My only gripes are that the speakers aren't very loud and the screen could be brighter.

A Chromebook that can finally replace my laptop!

With the Intel Cor i5 1335U processor coupled with 8GB of Memory and a 14” (Full HD) 1920 x 1080 touch screen, this unit can easily replace my bulky windows laptop. Given the built in cloud storage options, the 128GB SSD is more than sufficient for most users. I have over 100 apps installed, and still have over 88GB of driver space available. The device has 2 USB Type-A ports, 2 USB Type-C ports for display out or power, 1 standard HDMI port and a 3.5mm combo audio out/mike in jack. The audio output is very good, and the Bluetooth 5.3 Codec provides excellent connectivity to peripheral devices. The Wi-Fi card is Dual Band AX/6E dual band. The keyboard is very comfortable, but the “F” and “J” home position keys do not have small “bumps” in them to help you find the home row and proper finger placement without looking at the keyboard. There’s a slight roughness at the bottom edge of the key that may be intended for that purpose, but if so, they should rethink that choice. The keyboard on this model is not backlit, which could be a dealbreaker for some. At approximately 3.25 pounds I’d still consider this device light, but it also rated as meeting military-grade standards, so it’s very well built. The stated battery life is 8 hours, which based on my usage seems accurate.

A fast, thin and easy to use Chromebook!

Chromebooks are a great cross between an Android tablet and a traditional laptop. You get all of the benefits of the tablet (long battery life, tons of apps, easy OS management) with all of the familiar traits of a laptop (clamshell design with a large screen and a built-in keyboard and trackpad). This Asus Chromebook Plus has a fast Intel processor, plenty of memory and storage, is thin and light, and is a great value for those who don’t need Windows or Mac to get stuff done. Plus, it’s fantastically easy to manage and maintain. Highlights: * Thin and light. * Bright and clear touchscreen. * Long battery life. * Several useful ports (USB-Ax2, USB-Cx2, HDMI, Headphones). * Open lid props up the keyboard a bit. * Long USB-C power adapter. Room for Improvement: * Keyboard is not backlit. * The typical Caps Lock key is replaced with a Search/Launcher function. * USB power adapter has a captive cord and the prongs don’t fold. * Screen folds to 180 degrees but does not fold backwards further. Setup: Plug the provided USB-C power adapter into either side’s USB-C port to charge it up. The charging LED is one the left side near that port, but you can use whichever is convenient. Wake it up with the power button and follow the simple onboarding screens to apply or create a Google account and get the Chromebook ready to go. Mine needed some updates that installed quickly and easily after which it was ready to use. Usage: Basically, it’s a laptop running Android. You have access to all of your usual Google stuff like Chrome, Meet, Photos, etc. but in a more standard laptop shape. The built-in keyboard is roomy and easy to type on. It’s not backlit but otherwise is efficient to type on versus tapping away at an on-screen keyboard. Also, the typical “Caps Lock” key is replaced with a Google Search/Chrome Launcher key instead. If you want the usual Caps-Lock function, that’s now an Alt-Launcher key combo. Otherwise, everything is pretty much as you’d expect. The shortcut keys at the top of the keyboard are helpful. The screen is bright and clear with a non-glare coating. It’s a touch screen so you can use either that or the trackpad to navigate around your favorite apps. The lid kinda props up the keyboard when opened and can be bend backwards to make the whole laptop flat, but it won’t bend backwards to the “tent” or “tablet” styles that other laptops might do. At the top of the screen is a webcam with a sliding privacy shutter. There’s also an array of microphones. Both the camera and microphone work well for video calls or recording your favorite content like Tik Tons. The roomy trackpad is right where you’d expect it to be and it is clicky for right and left-clicks for when you don’t want to take your hands off the keyboard to touch the screen. On the left side of the base is one of the two USB-C ports that can be used to power the Chromebook or plug in your favorite device. On the right side is another USB-C port, two SuperSpeed USB-A ports, an HDMI port so you can connect a TV or external monitor, and a headphone jack for your wired headphones. Of course there’s WiFi and Bluetooth for networking and headphones/speakers. The provided power adapter is relatively small and has a long, captive (non-removable) USB-C cable. There’s no real cord management, the cable cannot be removed and the AC prongs don’t fold in when it’s not being used, so it’s not the most travel-friendly, but it works. Charging is quick and the laptop lasts a long time on a charge, too. Overall: For most people, a ChromeBook is more than good enough to do typical home or school tasks. Anything web-based or that has an Android app can work here, and there’s nothing messy to maintain like a typical Windows or Apple laptop might require. This particular ChromeBook Plus is fast, has a nice screen and web cam, and enough ports to connect your favorite devices with ease. Overall, it’s a great value for students and home users that don’t need the power and complexity of a typical laptop.

Keys on the keyboard fell off within one year of light usage which never happened on any of the laptops I have used including some very cheap ones.. The worse parts is when I contacted ASUS CS, they sent me to Bestbuy, and when I brough it to Bestbuy, they said this was "accident damage" which is not covered by the one year warranty... even the laptop is not shown any physical damage on it... So the one year warranty really covers nothing at all.
