I bought one of the under $200 Chromebooks and ended up returning it for an openbox C302CA (this specific model). It is pretty amazing for the price, around $385. 1. Touchscreen is pretty important with the future of ChromeOS. It has the Android Play Store so touch helps quite a bit. 2. The screen resolution is 1080p, most of the ones under this price range are 720p and there is quite a noticeable difference. 3. Keyboard, trackpad and keyboard is the best I've seen on a Chromebook around this price range. 4. It's super fast and quick. 4GB RAM should be good for some time on a Chromebook. m3 processor is the way to go for this price range. The only other model I'd consider is likely the Samsung Chromebook Pro, but it ends up at $100 extra for not much of a benefit.

Bought this computer as my first foray into Chromebooks. Have used for 2 months and used hard. And it is has performed flawlessly. Looks good and works well.

I've had a few laptops over the years, including a MacBook, which I'll say comes in second place to this. The ease of use, comfortable keypad feel (quiet too), touch screen & flip-around tablet option makes this an easy winner. Plus it's lightweight. And possibly my favorite feature, the power outlet/USB-C port is on BOTH SIDES, a perk I never thought of until now. Makes life so much easier when you have the ability to have your cord connect from either side. The backlit keyboard is a huge perk too, automatically comes up when you start typing. Perfect size to fit in most bags and thin enough to not feel bulky but still sturdy. Have recommended this model to a few friends.

As others have mentioned, the USB to USBC connection might be a minor annoyance to some, but to me it's forward-thinking and design-savvy. This device is, like most anything ASUS I've ever owned, a well-designed, sturdy and efficient machine that does everything I need. It weighs nothing, the battery life is great, and provides superior connectivity anywhere you go. Match your needs to what this does, and it's the best solution out there!

It is not my first chromebook and not my only one. The price on this one was good (also the features and specifications) I bought it to use it in my vacation trip (so I don't have to take the pixelbook with me). To be honest, I underestimated this chromebook. The Intel Core m3 never came short responding to all my demands: working on several browsers with video streaming, online shopping, bank management and so on. Even watching movies and communicating with work, friends and family. The battery charge seems to last for ever with a quite fast charging speed. Screen resolution is fine (not a lot behind the pixelbook). Build quality is solid and still light to carry. I can't tell about the internal speakers as I always use headphones. Touch screen response is a little off but no complaints as I don't use it much. 32GB internal storage seems more than enough for a chromebook. I also keep some of my files available offline on my external hdd.

I was looking for a laptop for less than $500. Two different independant reviews chose the Asus-flip C302CA as their top pick! And boy were they right! I am so impressed with this laptop. The screen resolution is fantastic, and the speed is incredible, even when I have multiple things running! I could not be happier with my purchase. I have been a PC user all my life, and it took me just a few hours to get used to how a Chromebook works. I have transferred all my documents and files from my PC laptop (which chrome makes VERY easy), and I can honestly say I don't miss my PC! I HIGHLY recommend this laptop!

As someone who primarily uses Google search engine a lot, the computer was ideal. Didn’t have a ton of bells and whistles but the touch screen and ability to fold it into a tablet was cool. I could see this computer being ideal for art/ design students with a download of editing software or whatever. Battery use was pretty good for what you’re paying for and I liked the sleek design. I’m sure I’d still have the computer however if I hadn’t spilled coffee on it. Also lost the charger for a minute, then found it after I spilled the coffee. Terrible timing. But now I’m a proud first time owner of a MacBook Pro if it ever comes in the friggin mail.

This chrome book has a wonderful key pad along with great speed. Light weight and the right size.

I picked this Chromebook up mostly on a whim. My main PC had recently died, and after doing so research, found this was an excellent model. I was in the store, the price was right (plus it was a tax-free weekend) so I grabbed it. I am so glad I did. Turns out, most everything I was using my full PC laptop for can be handled by this little gem with ease. It's got better battery life, it's lighter, and the tiny little speakers even sound better. I had read other reviews about Chromebooks in general saying they were not the best for streaming, but this little guy does Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and DirecTV NOW just fine. More than happy with my purchase.

Pros: Thin, lightweight. Has the pen feature you can use to touch and draw, but the pen is sold seperately. A lot of functions , my friend said this is not for someone who just wants to watch videos and do basic things like surf the internet. This is definitely for business, and someone who knows how to navigate through all the systems and features it has. I will learn along the way . I like the way it flips all the way around of like an iPad. Cons: one big defect, it lacks sound. You literally need earphones or some Bluetooth sound device . Otherwise , you can and will not be able to hear the speakers on this. Even in the quietest room it will stress your ears to try and hear the speakers (turned all the way up). You can not have any background noise when trying to listen to something playing. But if you use earplugs, or Bluetooth sound device , it’s great! I would actually recommend but do your research on laptops , chrome devices. It’s a lot of choices out there, and sales. Not for kids unless they are a computer geek (not poking fun).

I bought this to use as a light travel carry device, when I didn't care to haul the really heavy gaming laptop. Since then, it has become my go to device for many things. The screen is bright and sharp, and everything is snappy and responsive. It runs Android apps, though sometimes if the app isn't well written, it does some odd things with sizing. Overall though, a great 'laptop replacement' device that would work great for those of us who work primarily online, or for students. Most everything will work offline, however, and sync back once you make a connection again. I often use it successfully with the hotspot on my phone.

This is my first purchase of a Chromebook for personal use, however, it is not my first use of a Chromebook. I swapped an old iPhone to a coworker for an HP Chromebook his wife had purchased for school. She wasn't happy with it as she needed access to special software that the Chromebook could not run at the time. I set it up and gave it to my mother to use, as her old Windows laptop crashed. Once I showed her what a Chromebook could do she said she would give it a try. After a couple of months of use, she loves it. As far as my purchase, I wanted something a little more, so I started researching models that fit my criteria, and I was amazed by all the options included and the performance of this little beauty (writing this review on it now). I can't recommend this Chromebook enough, it does everything I need it to do. Fast startup, zippy performance, and stylish looks all rolled into one cool Chromebook.

This is the perfect laptop for basic, every day use. I use it mainly for work, but it is compact, light, and user friendly. Would highly recommend this product to anyone!

A bargain chromebook! Value-priced from BestBuy and after nearly 2 years, hasn't given me any problems or issues. More than fast enough, with updates from Google Chrome (without having to stop using the laptop!), and very clear HD screen. Again, after 2 years no issues and as good as new. Keyboard is very comfortable and still works as new after all this time. It is backlit, and easy to clean. Mousepad is easy to clean and works perfectly. Enough power in such a lightweight and compact footprint. Easy to carry anywhere although could be a built a bit more sturdier. It is thin like a MacAir. Speakers are adequate and has a AUX port.

I purchased this product for my bride, as her planned use is for internet access for online Mah Jongg and as a lightweight email and internet device for travel. I could not be happier with my purchase. I also set up a blue-tooth mouse and attached to a large home desktop monitor by getting a USB-C to HDMI cable. The screen itself is nice and sharp, and we have been happy with this device for our purposes. Bear in mind that this is not like a high-end, expensive laptop that you might use for downloading Microsoft Office, although there are apparently work-arounds for this as well. My advise is to really do your research before you buy this and make sure that it has the capabilities suited to your aims and goals for the machine. I had previously purchased a Chromebook, but my employer did not support it and I had to get a different machine for work.

I absolutely love this Chromebook. It does everything a laptop does with less bulk and need for software updates. To be sure, software is updated but during the update process you have free and total use of the device - much less intrusive than the shutdown and start-up process of a conventional PC laptop. The Core m3 processor is well worth the extra cost.

If you are looking for an economical Chromebook that does not cost $1000 and can do everything like an expensive one .. then this is your best option. I am extremely impressed with its performance. I mainly use it for media consumption and internet browsing and it works like a charm. The battery life is good, screen actually exceeded my expectation and the great part .. USB-C. I also use it sometimes to play games like Alto's Paradise or Asphalt 9 and no issues there. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to use it for media consumption, light productivity and internet browsing.

This is my first chromebook, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. What I'm most impressed/surprised about is its speed. I've never seen any device startup as fast as this thing. It could be completely turned off and within a couple seconds of hitting the power button or opening up, it's ready for you to log in. Performance has been fantastic as well. Can't recommend this chromebook enough!

Yes, it's a Chromebook. But if you blindly picked it up, it feels like a Macbook. Solid aluminum body, very lightweight. I'm using this as my travel laptop to run Powerpoint presentations, type docs, and watch YouTube. That's about it. But I know it is capable of a lot more. The tablet 2-in-1 feature is awesome. Just like my 15-inch Asus laptop, it is extremely handy to have. My only criticism would be: I wish it had a regular USB 2.0 port. You'll need an adapter for that, but they're about $20 or less. In short, this is a powerful little Chromebook.

I looked at several chromebooks and the fit and finish on the Asus flip was far and away the nicest.The aluminum case is sturdy and has a very nice finish.The screen is beautiful and very responsive to touch commands.I was also pleasantly surprised at just how fast the m3 processor is compared to other notebooks.It also has a backlit keyboard which comes in handy.
