The tri-band ia excellent but the 6ghz band will not show in your network scan unless you have a Wifi 6E capable device. I thought it would still be backwards compatible and be able to use some of my normal Wifi 6 devices on that band but couldn't. So I downgraded to the model before this one (GT-AX11000) and it qorks great for my needs. I probably wont have a Wifi 6E device for a while, so I figured in the meantime I will make fuller use of the GT-AX-11000.

However...there aren't many devices that support Wi-Fi 6e (not a fault of the router). Through some digging, it's possible to get Wi-Fi 6e working on Windows 10. It replaced my old RT-AC68P and I use the old one to create a mesh network. My whole house has great Wi-Fi coverage!

I'm out in the boondocs and use 2x AT&T moble hot spots in this router to dubble my internet connection speed.. I was thinking of running coax all over the wifi is so fast I dont think ill need to.. Keep in mind 120 mbp together with thehot spots.

I had to disable the LED because it was too distracting. Not really for people with poor knowledge of setting up a network router.

This is only one out on the current market that offers Wifi 6E capabilities and it does not disappoint at this time. I only have one computer that has the capability of utilizing Wifi 6E and as an early adopter of this I must say I am very impressed what Asus has to offer with this and with many more Wifi 6E devices coming out soon. The speeds far exceeded my expectations and with no to little latency and only a few times where no packets were ever lost during my speed test. This is a must have for all gamers.

ASUS AXE- 11000

Feel short of Expectations

I have 2 6E Asus Desktops, and 2 phones that work on the 6Ghz band and a 1gigabit up/down service. I can stand 3 feet from the router and my speed tests barely get over 500mb/s. I have two Nvidia Shield streaming devices. They drop signals about once an hour. The Netgear Orbi 6E is over $1k but I wish I spent the money. The Amplifi Alien I had for a couple weeks before the Rapture was faster on every device even with that 6E band.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well where do I start: So I had decided to upgrade from the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router that I had currently had and gone with this model and give my parents my ROG Rapture GT-AX11000, glad I didn't since I have Smart devices in my home in which never have barely had any issues with the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 except for some or very few hiccups from time to time but not as bad as having issues with this ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 WiFi 6E router, like my Kasa Smart devices would basically start working one moment then the next moment they would stop, I would end up have to reboot both the router and the smart plugs in order for them to start working again, So If I were you, I would just stick with getting the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 instead of getting the ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 WiFi 6E Router for the time being until they can really get all the kinks and bugs worked out of it.

Solid router if you don't need 2.4ghz

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping it would improve Air Link performance vs my Linksys 802.11ac router but it's actually a touch worse, and to make matters worse, I can't even use my Logitech wireless headset anymore due to the interference this thing gives off unless I turn off the 2.4ghz band completely. It gets 3 stars for having 2.5gb LAN working out of the box and for being a solid router aside from my issues with it.

The router works properly in 2.4Ghz bandwidth, this is a random problem that is possibly related to other electronic or electrical device that is generating excessive RF or electrical noise and is causing interference with the wireless signal.
