Lasted six months...
I just suffered the very same issue that I had with two prior AX and AXE routers that have the same Broadcom BCM4389 chip.
At some point these routers stop giving you high speeds on 5 and 6ghz. Also the well known issues with the terrible 2.4ghz band.
I used to get 1.4gb down Wi-Fi speeds with comcast, with both 5 and 6ghz, now I can barely get a bit over 600mbps. No matter which configuration, driver, OS, just doesn't work. It was working before for like six months!... Hey at least kudos to ASUS, the best of the all three models I tested...
Think about it, obviously the Broadcom BCM4908 wasn’t designed for Wi-Fi 6. It came out in 2016. Has been shoved in these routers leaving the wifi6 features to be managed by those Frankenstein chipsets.
This should end in a class action lawsuit. $550 in the garbage...

Great customization. I am combining with my previous ASUS router and making my mesh system. Still playing around with settings and will update later. LED lights on top that are customizable for cool effects.

Router is very glitchy, drops wifi devices for no reason, have to reboot the device once every 48hours. It loses internet connectivity for no reason what-so-ever.
The 6ghz band isn't supported by 95% of devices out today, it's not worth the headache at this point, I would wait for a more stable device.

It takes a bit of time to get it going if you're unfamiliar with router setup, but just make sure to find the 'copy MAC address' button in the ASUS router settings (read the manual!)

This router only has 1 2.5g port and all the other ports are limited to 1gig. If you have over 1gig connection this router is not for you.

WiFi 6 is not compatible with Apple 2021 products out of the box. I’ve spent hours w ASUS tech support. They can’t figure it out. They asked me to send log data from the app. I did and then they emailed me and said this, “ We appreciate your time and effort collecting these data to help us see what causing the issue. I apologize but I may have to ask you to send over your wireless feedback form and other documents requested through email instead of sending it using the router GUI. I know that inconvenience is understatement but it'll be really helpful if you would allow us to borrow more of your time to send in every file needed through email due to some errors that we are encountering in our system, a lot of times happen that we cannot retrieve the files that were sent using the router GUI.”
So if you like spending time talking to tech support in the Philippines then this router is for you! But, if you want to plug it in and expect it to work, find a different router.

I couldn’t get this item working. Why? Well because it came with the wrong power cable. Complete shocker and I really don’t know how this happened. I have my guesses but this still sucks. That and the build quality also sucks because one of the antennas was super loose it wouldn’t stand up straight. I’m sure this isn’t everyone’s case but it was my experience. I’m actually even surprised because I had an Asus router than worked great prior to this one.

This router does not work good with smart house.I have 10 nest camera and all day it connect and disconnect by itself all day.I called and they told me use 2.4 for camera and it still does same.
