Great performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is very easy to set up. It has great performance and speed. The dual band makes for fast transmission and connection. Also, the size is great because it's not too big so you can keep it on your desk.

Just what I needed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this along with the Motorola surfboard modem to replace the 2-in-1 Comcast provided me (that NEVER worked. Got maybe 12 mg/second when I pay for 75) and I couldn't be happier. Extended the range and the dual bands on it allows my roommate and myself to use the Internet at the same time without any lag.

Excellent Asus Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with this purchase. The speed and signal quality is excellent. Setup is also very easy. The router looks attractive on my desk and does not take up much space. I have not had any issues since I purchased. I have owned other name brand routers, but this one has been the most reliable yet.

What a BIG difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an older router with the Asus and was amazed at how much faster all household connections were. Not only were streaming rates faster with no fall-outs but the gain in signal strength was amazing. Router is set up in finished basement which is not ideal but signal is strong out onto the deck and all the way up to second story rooms. Would not call set-up easy but no real problems encountered. Just took time to figure out all the settings. Highly recommend this router for homes with multiple users and the need for a far reaching signal.

Best upgrade for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At under $200, this wireless router was the upgrade my household needed. With 3-4 smartphones, an X-Box, and two laptops going at once, the kids raved about the speed, and the range!

Good wifi router for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a linksys that had gone bad. As I was looking at the reviews for this online, there were concerns over the firmware being a little buggy. However an update had just been published that fixed most of the bugs in it, and since then another firmware update has definitely improved the performance and stability of this router.

Awesome for tech savvy user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is fantastic. If you just want internet, it's great at that, but there's also plenty of room for optimizing and customizing. It has pretty good range and I haven't had a single issue with it. The only time I'm without Internet is when the power goes down.

Cost effective, easy setup and great coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this extended range Wi-fi for my property and it is working great. Gives me coverage around the property as well as throughout the house. It was also easy to setup. I have not tried setting up a "guest wi-fi" network yet, but that will be done in the future.

Good Router - Easy Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was easy to setup and increased my range from my old Wireless G router to cover the whole house. Speeds have also increased, although with any wireless network, your speed is limited by what you are connecting with. If your laptop/phone doesn't support Wireless-N, you won 't get the full benefit out of this router.

Nice router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very pleased with this router once I got it set up and running. It took awhile on the phone with thier help to get it working right, till like 10 at night, but once up and running everything worked nice. The range is great and the dual bands are nice to have since I run a smart tv, blu-ray player, and phones off it.

Great router coverage and signal strength
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded my internet but needed a better router for my house, after doing some checking I found this to be the best router out and they were not kidding, I lacked full house coverage with other routers this one handles all my kids games and I can still work

Excellent Home Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router to replace my old Buffalo router that was running DD-WRT. I'm extremely impressed with the speed and range of this device. I'm a network engineer by trade, so my idea of easy to setup is going to be different than most, but I had no issues getting it setup. I do like the advanced features. I.E. IPv6 capability, VPN server, dual-WAN and cellular modem backup. That names just a few of what this router can do. Very impressed so far.

Great product but a little pricy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short. I wanted a router that would allow me to game online, and allow others in the house to stream videos simultaneously, without either lagging in performance. This router has accomplished just that! I used to experience choppy game play or videos freezing, but now, all of that is gone. I also like the ease of installation, the great security features, and the range on this router is pretty remarkable. The only drawback I have is the price, but honestly, you get what you pay for so I'm not complaining too much.

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Haven't really needed to reboot the router yet after a month or so of use. There is also a lot of support for software from other users, as well it seems Asus seems to keep software updates somewhat frequently. I have had better luck out of the 2.4 ghs band than the 5 ghz band. I knew the range would be less using the five but it cuts my range down drastically. The 2.4 has great range and luckily I don't have a lot of interference in my neighborhood. If I get five years or more out of this router I will be pleased. It seems I only get 3-4 years out of routers, but this is the first mid to upper end router and first Asus for me.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im pretty good at all this home networking stuff but with the router you don't have to be if you don't want to be. took 30 seconds to get online. works great with multiple things connected to it at one time. great speed

Awesome router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved and received this as a gift. I've always used Linksys routers so I was a little skeptical about this one. Super easy to set up, it looks sleek and nice and the range is beyond what I expected.

One of the best on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best routers on the market. If you don't know a lot about networking, this router is very easy to set up. If you do take advantage of more advanced features, this router has some of the best software I've used. Performance is outstanding. The range and throughput far outpaces my hold router. Just make sure you have an appropriate receiver with it! Having MIMO 802.11N isn't going to do you any good if your receiver is an old single channel 802.11B/G. I recommend pairing it with the Asus USB-N53 USB adapter.

Great performance, solid build quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great wifi performance relative to competition (signal strength and throughput) on BOTH bands (on par with my Amped Wireless R10000 and actually beat my Linksys E4200 v1). - Fast CPU and lots of RAM to handle multiple connections and heavy loads - Seems stable so far (only had it hooked up about 20 hours so far so time will tell) - Native IPv6 support - Dual band concurrent wifi - 450 Mbps max (under ideal conditions) on both bands - 2 USB ports for a host of extra sharing and streaming connectivity - Solid build quality (the weight of this tells you there is a lot under the hood and the ports are not flimsy) - Gigabit WAN and LAN ports - Beam forming tech. seems to really work. - Up to 6 Guest networks - Upgradable antennae

love this router!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this router with Tomato firmware by Shibby (make sure to do it from Windows 7 or older) and love it! Rock solid and I haven't had to reboot. Quick speeds and very reliable. Highly recommend!

Asus N66R Performs as Advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read CNET review and it recommended the N66R for increased range and speed. Wanted it to improve skype calls and it definately did. Speed is double over the old netgear router it replaced. Quite happy.
