Fast line splitter, slow WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am pleased with the performance of this product. The devices I have connected via cable to the router are getting the full speeds as subscribed by my ISP; however, my devices that connect via Wifi are 5x slower. I'm getting up to 60Mbps from my cable connections, but 7 - 13Mbps through the WiFi signal. It's not bad, but I expected the speeds would be the same. If my house weren't hardwired into every room, this product wouldn't be able to deliver.

Must have high power router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is absolutely amazing.I have had it for a little over a month now and am nothing but pleased. As you can read on multiple reviews the capabilities of this router are impressive. What I was most pleased with is that I am now able to maximize my cable providers download and upload speeds along with the fact that the signal strength is always reliable!

Great router for home with electronics.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was very easy to set up in our home. We have several electronics going on at one time. We no longer have trouble staying connected all at once. I am also able to get a connection no matter where I am in my home…even outside.

Best Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router replaced my previous one. My only regret is not buying it sooner. Unlike my previous router, the Asus RT-N66R provides a strong signal in all areas of my house and maintains the client DHCP lease for each device. My wireless internet connection speed also increase by about 50% compared to my previous 802.11a/b/g/n router. My previous router would disconnect from my devices every few days (even with the DHCP client lease at the maximum interval) and needed to be manually power cycled every few days to restore the connections. I've had the Asus RT-N66R for over a month and have never had to reset it to restore the connections.

A really great router for more advanced opeations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a router that I could better control the time my kids spend online. This does a pretty good job at it, but there could be more features. However, I have not been able to find a router that has as many parental controls as this one. But, this is a really great router with excellent performance. It was very easy to get going and easier to manage than the Netgear router I replaced. It has been rock solid and I never need to reset it (I was resetting the Netgear one constantly). I use Apple TV and do a lot of streaming with in (like HULU). No issues. Again, rock solid. I really have no complaints as this router seems to do everything you need it to without calling a lot of attention to itself. The feature base is so rich it really leaves it up to your imagination how you would like to configure it.

This Router ROCKS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this router to replace my Linksys WRT 160. I thought I would end up taking it back as I have several other routers as they had no better speed or range than the Linsys, but Let me tell you WOW, this thing rocks. It runs 1 xbox one, an x box 360, a PS3, 3 laptops, 2 tablets and 3 cell phones all at one time with no lag. Really nice that it has the 2.4 and 5.0 ghz as the xbox one really rocks on 5ghz. As for range, My house is a single level home and the Router is 60 feet away from the xbox one and still getting 80% on the 5 ghz, only getting arount 68% on 2.4 ghz but no complants. A little trickey to set up the ports to get the best performance, but once you get it dialed in it is awesome. Also it is a little tricky to hang on the wall, but I managed to figure it out. I have Comcast Blast enternet.

Well made Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this router for several weeks now. Works very well, fast, very good range. I have a whole lot of wifi gadgets running on this router. Ip cameras, garage door opener, wemo devices, smart tv's, security system, onkyo wifi receiver, iPhones, iPad, PC, many that are always running. So far it has not skipped a beat! Very fast and dependable.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router, has all the features I need for a great price. Super easy to setup for beginners but still has advanced settings for advanced users. As a word of caution as I own more than one of these: make sure to check for firmware updates periodically using their site not the router itself. Sometimes the router doesn't check properly.

Strong signal, easy to install.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install with an adequate number of ethernet ports for wired devices. Other reviews recommend using high quality ethernet cables, which I do for fixed, immobile devices such as desktop computer and TV. Signal is strong but weakens through walls. If so, you can use your old router as a second access point using a powerline ethernet adapter.

Best Router since my DLink DGL-8500 Gaming Router.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love every bit of this product. Never had a problem with # of connections. Lessor routers will overheat and/or melt. D-Link has dropped quality-wise and ASUS has truly taken their spot. I love the ability to combine the 2.4 & 5 GHz bands, as well as the ability to increase the power output of the wireless antennas. If you have multiple antennas in a device, expect 300-450 mbps. I get 300 with my Galaxy S3. It helps to know a bit about networking. You can easily flash WRT or Tomato onto this for even more security and options.

Good Wi-Fi coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Glad I had upgraded from 802.11g to 802.11N, the downloading and uploading speed is night and day. The setup process is not as easy compare to Linksys, but it is not bad either. Make sure to change your default password and update its firmware. The wireless coverage is great with its external antennas. And to get a better reception remember to place the router high above the ground floor. Overall I would recommend this.
