So, I ordered the ASUS RTX 4070 last December and was anxious to install it as soon as I got it. This was the first high-end GPU I have owned and took it out of the box and installed it immediately. Fast forward five months and I was updating drives, etc. and I happened to notice that the GPU driver said it was a RTX 3070 Ti. I thought that there must have been an issue with the card or my Windows 11 PC. I chatted with Best Buy tech support and they said to take it to the Geek Squad. So, when I took the card out of my PC I notice a small sticker that says it is an RTX 3070 Ti. I took it to the Geek Squad and asked them to help me figure out what is going on and if it is really a 3070. They came back after a few minutes and said that not only is it a 3070 Ti, but it is not even an ASUS. It is an MSI card. I asked them how we could resolve this and they simply handed it back to me and said that it has been five months and there is nothing they can do. They also said to call tech support. So, I called tech support and they said that they do not know what happened, but as there is no way on their computer to process a return, there is nothing they can do. I asked to talk to a manager and she just repeated the same thing and said that they would not help me. So, I know it has been more than five months, but the card looks almost identical to the ASUS, it came in the ASUS 4070 box, and I had no reason to doubt it. I feel that Best Buy should give me the card I bought or at a minimum pay the difference in cost. Someone took my card out of the box and put this MSI 3070 in there and Best Buy said "too bad."

I thought this card was going to be great but I was wrong. GPU rendering issues and long load times. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I ended up buying the AMD XFX 7800XT and I haven't been disappointed.

This card is great for what it is. I had bought this for myself as a christmas present. While I do think the price is a little on the high side (other models like the PNY Verto are like ~560 compared to this), I think the quality of the card, especially the heat dissipation, due to the shroud being metal, is great. The performance of this card is EXCELLENT, although im playing on 1080p. I guarentee that this card can run any single game on 1080p, and most on 1440p if upscaling is thrown into the picture. Thermals and Overclocking: This card is very quiet, except mine had an issue where the right most (front) fan sounds like the bearings in it are shot, but I'll excuse that, as i dont mind noise too much. thermals on Forza Horizon 5 never exceeded 62 Celsius. This cards overclocking performance is commendable, as the GDDR6X VRAM overclocked up 1450MHz from stock. This card is also insanely power efficient, getting 94% of the performance of a RTX 3080 stock while only using about 62% of the power. It also has 2GB more VRAM than the 3080 10GB does. Raytracing performance is excellent, and have had no issues with it besides a few to-be-expected DLSS texture bugs, which can be entirely the games fault too. Price and Value: I wont lie, this card is a little pricey. Id argue its still the best of the 40 series, given the 4070 Ti's outrageous pricetag, but this model pushes it a bit for being $662 at the time I bought it. AMD, Nvidias competitor, and their board partners have a cheaper model that outperforms and has more VRAM than the 4070; the RX 7800XT. If you dont mind dealing with an occasional AMD Driver bug, glitch, are tech savvy, or if you use linux, you might be happier with the 7800XT; AMD Support on Linux has generally been more solid than Nvidia's. Granted, of course, the 7800XT has worse ray tracing performance and much worse editing performance than the 4070; CUDA just cant be beat for Blender and other editors. In just gaming however, a stock 7800XT has a stock 4070 beat by about 7% for $50-30 cheaper on the basic models, like the afformentioned PNY Verto, and about $70-90 on more premium models like this one (comparing to XFX 7800XT MERC). Conclusion: If you are a editor, a Extreme 1080p-Medium 1440p gamer, or desire ray tracing without an absurd 40 series tax like with the other cards, this is arguably your best option. With the 40 Super series releasing soon, this might drive the price of these cards down further, we just have to see how it plays out. If you want this card but want it at a cheaper price, go with an Asus Dual, PNY Verto, or a MSI Ventus. If you are just gaming, get a 7800XT instead. If you are just gaming and dont want ray tracing at all, 6800XT is even cheaper.

Graphics card is definitely a step up from a Radeon 5700 xt. The 4700 is twice the size and requires at least a 650 power supply. Definitely a improvement. Get one if you can

It’s a pretty good card to get if you are in need of a gpu for 1440p gaming. Unless you are a bit wary of the VRAM, it definitely holds up for pretty much all you need on that front.

Running everything in 1440p is amazing i finnalt get to use the full power of my monitor. Great aesthetics and nice light up logo. Very happy with this card.
