I’ve been using the ASUS ProArt P16 for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my work. As a creative professional, I need a machine that can handle heavy tasks like 3D rendering, design software, and video editing, and this laptop does all of that without breaking a sweat. First off, the performance is amazing. I went with the model that has an Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU, and it powers through my most demanding projects effortlessly. Whether I’m working with large 3D models or editing high-res video, it never slows down, even when I have multiple apps open at once. The display is another thing I love. It’s a 4K, Pantone-validated screen, and the color accuracy is just spot on, which is essential for my design work. Plus, the detail and clarity make everything I work on look so crisp—it’s like I can see things I wasn’t able to before on my old laptop. In terms of design, it’s sleek and professional. It feels solid and well-built without being overly bulky, which is important because I do need to move around with it sometimes. The only downside, if I had to pick one, would be the battery life. When I’m working on really intensive tasks, it can drain a bit faster than I’d like, but honestly, for the power it packs, it’s a small trade-off. Overall, the ProArt StudioBook has really leveled up my workflow and made working on my projects a lot more efficient and enjoyable. It’s definitely an investment, but if you're serious about creative work, it’s 100% worth it.

It did not meet my expectations, I see no difference with my previous laptop which was a Lenovo X230 with 16GB RAM, Windows 10. It even freezes every time something happens.

Wanted to really like this computer but after a few months I get nothing but complications with the graphic or display. Spent endless amount of time doing updates. Resetting to factory. Recovery disks. It comes and got but make it impossible to rely on using this computer. Some times it takes hours to fix itself. Other times I have to unistall and reinstall graphics card. I have done all the updates. Update to bios. And much more.

When you buy a 2,200 laptop you shouldn't need to go online and research how to get the wifi to work. I opened this up, totally excited, then was totally disheartened. Unfortunately I am returning this and going back to the drawing board. I ran with a surface book 2 for 7 years with no problems until the end. Asus proart took only 7 minutes.

Creative Powerhouse: My ASUS ProArt P16 Experience

I recently purchased the ASUS ProArt P16 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9, and I'm thoroughly impressed! The 4K touchscreen is absolutely stunning - colors are vibrant and the details are crystal clear. Performance is exceptional - handling multiple demanding applications simultaneously without any slowdown. The RTX 4070 GPU handles all my graphics work beautifully, and the 32GB RAM paired with the spacious 2TB SSD makes everything run smoothly. The only minor drawback is that it does get warm during intensive tasks, but that's somewhat expected with this level of power. Overall, this laptop exceeds my expectations and is perfect for creative professionals who need reliable performance. Highly recommended!

I went back and forth between several different computers before I landed on the p16. I really love just about everything about it. It's fast, the colors are great, the build quality is excellent, and the Asus support and product software is fantastic. If I had any complaints it's that I wish the power supply was a usb-c instead of the proprietary connection and the screen is glossy. It looks gorgeous, but does show fingerprints and grime as well as reflects. At this point I'm very happy with my purchase and am looking at some pro art monitors to add to my setup.

Great laptop! Very clear display. Quiet and quick. One demerit for backlit keyboard that doesn't backlight the punctuation symbols over the number keys, leaving them very hard to read for their respective punctuation symbol. An additional demerit for Best Buy staff failing to carry the LapLink cable needed for PCMover to do a quick data transfer from my old laptop. With no cable, I was forced to do the transfer wirelessly, and it took over 36 HOURS!

First impression after 2 days of use is very good. Lightweight and very fast computer. Noticing an improvement in editing both photos and videos. Topaz AI editing software runs much faster on this compared to my older Alienware R17. Sound quality is excellent for a laptop. OLED display looks great.

A Touch Screen is a must for me, and I also need a gaming computer for the graphic building program is use that needs uses high end graphics, so the choices are limited. This wasn't originally on my list of finalists, but I found it with the help of an employee in store. It does seem to get quite warm when I do play games, so I will watch that, as my last laptop burned itself up! The video is really sharp, it's fast -- my only complaint is that the letters on the keys are a muted light gray that I have trouble seeing.

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro and would pick this over the MacBook. Although I prefer MacOS to Windows 11, I like the freedom a PC gives you and the ability to play games. I have the P16 connected to a 240hz external monitor, but the laptop screen itself is gorgeous. I wish it had a higher refresh but my MacBook is only 60hz and the lower refresh helps preserve battery life when on the go. Highly recommend!

So far, the laptop has been butter smooth with everything I've been throwing at it. The fans, yes, tend to get a littler loud but that's expected out of laptop, I believe. The screen is a-mazing, the keyboard feels comfortable, the speaker is top-notch. Can't expect more than that out of laptop at this price!

Impressive Build Quality - Lackluster Functionalit

The ASUS ProArt P16 has an impressive build quality and design that I truly appreciate. However, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. First, I wish it could be powered via standard USB-C, which would have been more convenient. I purchased this laptop as an open-box item, and unfortunately, the previous owner had reimaged it, wiping out the original Windows installation that included all the necessary drivers. This led to a frustrating setup experience. I had to manually hunt down drivers just to complete the Windows installation. Although I managed to bypass the network during setup, I encountered additional issues, forcing me to reinstall Windows with the WLAN driver already in place. Despite using the MyAsus app to "update" and "install" the missing drivers, the laptop still has persistent issues. It refuses to enter sleep mode, the dial feature doesn't function, and other features are randomly missing. Even after downloading and installing all the drivers specific to this model, the laptop still doesn't perform as expected. This suggests it may suffer from the same sleep and driver issues that have plagued other ASUS laptops, or I may have just been unlucky with this particular unit. If the 4080 model were available in the US, I would be tempted to give it another try. Unfortunately, we’re limited to the 4070 configuration. For those seeking a laptop with a 4K touch screen, a dedicated GPU, and an NPU, this model initially seemed like the best option. Regrettably, I will be returning it due to the ongoing frustrations with the setup and functionality. That said, I was very tempted to keep it, even with the initial setup challenges.

I love this laptop. I had a Dell 9640 that started out well but within months began to act up requiring two in-home repairs and a replacement computer when the first could not be fixed. One of the repair guys told me " look at the Asus". I did my research and after reading countless reviews I ordered the Asus ProArt 16. I am thrilled by its performance, stability, beautiful look ( jet black), keyboard, and battery life. ( I don't play games) I actually look forward to opening it up each morning and using it...unlike the unpredictable Dell. Asus gained a new customer with this laptop.

This laptop is fantastic. But two months after purchasing it, Windows crashed and got stuck in a boot loop. After research, I found that I was not the only person who experienced this. Unfortunately, Asus' manufacturer's warranty won't cover software problems. I was very confused, and after a failed Windows reinstall, resetting all the BIOS settings got me back into Windows. Every so often, I get the same warning message as before, and a hard reset has fixed it since then. Overall, I love this laptop. It's speedy, quiet (when in whisper mode), and sleek. My issue was rare but I was not alone.

We have been using this computer as a secondary equip to work on Archicad and D5, and it has been a complete wonder. Color calibration is something hard to get on gaming laptops and this one matches our output of calibrated machines we have at home to generate architectural renders. High quality build also is great for is travelling across the country visiting projects.
