    Very Good Laptop, Loud Fan

The laptop works very well. The screen is very high quality and seems to work well with graphic design work. I purchased the laptop to handle both creative and business work, and it does both really well. The only critique would be the fan. The laptop can quickly get warm so the fans do get loud somewhat often. Still, it was definitely worth the purchase.

So if you are a content creator, video editor, photo shop person...this might be for you. I'll start with the obvious, hardware. It's made VERY well, and does not feel to heavy when moving around with it. The styling of this laptop does not scream high quality at first glance, but after you pick it up...you will feel it. It has enough ports to take care of nearly everyone on the market for a new laptop. The other part of the hardware you can't see, is on the inside. This has a nice strong, and powerful processor. It's coupled with enough RAM, to take care of video editing and background tasks. 1TB SSD is again, more than enough to take care of you for the long haul if you are worried about storage. The graphics card will help you do editing faster than most, but processing times are not the fastest I've seen on a laptop. Now for the display, WOW...it's 3k, and yes there are higher resolutions. But this one is SO CLEAR, you don't be able to downplay it when you see it in person. If you are a person that needs a compact, POWERFUL laptop to take with you. This MIGHT be the one for you, as it will impress you once you fire it up. I think this laptop will last for some years to come, as it is offering a lot by todays standards for a laptop. Personally, the size is just right to travel with. I recommend it.

Ultra premium laptop that's fast and fun!!!

To start this review, and now having had some time to run it through several days of driving it as my daily driver, I have to say, WOW, this is an incredible laptop! It's small, light, and yet is very powerful! This machine is truly a creativity and productivity powerhouse and is now my permanent daily driver machine! Overall Look and Feel This laptop looks great and so far has been very durable and easy to keep clean toting it around just about wherever I go whether to work or around the house. The aluminum shell and finish is perfect, and just as Asus promises it doesn't show fingerprints/smudges like I thought it might and just looks great while being super easy to keep clean. In addition, the feel of the finish is smooth but not too smooth as to be slippery, it's just right. For the backlit keyboard, it's firm and has a nice feel, and the track pad is amazing but more on that under it's own section. Performance This laptop hits all the right notes in terms of performance. It has plenty of memory and storage included with a Studio RTX graphics card. Because it has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A and USB4 Type-C port that are ultra fast it is a piece of cake to either connect a dock or add more storage with an external NVME drive to save videos/content on while having the same (or even better depending on the drive) access speed as the internal drive. The Ryzen CPU rivals high-end desktop CPU performance in a compact form with an NPU that's optimized for running AI tasks which more software like Adobe and even Windows is embracing so this will only speed those things up with the ability to locally process those tasks. This laptop's CPU is perfect for doing video editing and 3D modeling on the go and even handles gaming. I tend to do a lot of CAD drawing in Fusion 360, and so far this machine has performed with Fusion 360, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud apps without any hiccups and all without being power hungry while on the go. The GPU has the ability to switch on and off to manage overall power efficiency and the Studio drivers make all the difference for performance in professional 3D and video/editing software tools - it is essential for those applications! While this laptop isn't aimed at gaming, it does perform with most titles that I like during downtime, but it really shines in the performance within professional applications. Display The ProArt's OLED panel is top notch, offering rich bright colors and ultra-deep blacks. The ProArt software bundled in even has the capability of connecting to a tool to calibrate the display's color, which is essential for video/photo editing to know that the colors you see are accurate and can be reproduced as you intend them to be. I'm overall very impressed with this display and could not go back to a laptop that does not have a panel like this. The Touchpad Dial The ProArt laptop has a user-programmable dial on the touchpad that makes it easy to configure for editing tools under professional editing tools like Adobe and even Autodesk Fusion 360. I found it does help for certain tools in my workflow in both video editing and 3D modeling/CAD work. I'm impressed with how well the touchpad performs and the dial just puts it over the top. Battery Life For the performance this laptop has the battery life is amazing and with the software you can control the performance/efficiency to stretch it out over several hours of solid use without charging and plug it in to get the best performance. What i like most is that the USB-C port will also allow you to charge so you can literally connect to your dock with one cable and get your video and connection to peripherals all through one cable and keep your charger with you whever you go. I like Asus's charger design as it's durable and then the option to charge with USB-C as a backup when you are on the go or while using a dock/port expander. Speakers These days it seems that phones and tablets have better audio than most all laptops but that's no longer the case with this one. The bass is deep and the audio is powerful/crisp with the right tuning. Finally, a laptop that has sound that outperforms tablets and phones and actually delivers decent quality sound!! I love it and in tent mode, watching HDR movies on the OLED panel is a real treat for those times in between work sessions! Software Like other ASUS laptops I've owned Asus tends to keep the addon software (or what's sometimes referred to as bloatware) down to an absolute minimum. In fact, the software Asus bundles on this machine is essential and not really what I'd call bloatware at all. The bundled software makes it easy to update your laptop and essential for modifying specific ASUS ProArt settings and more all in a couple of apps. Beyond that, what you add is what you add to it and Asus provides a few to use with the AI NPU like MuseTree and StoryCube. Asus also provides a membership to CapCut for 6 months and a trial for Adobe. I've been impressed with trying these out and have already had Adobe. This laptop overall is great, and has an ultra premium feel to it with performance to match. It's so far been not only fast but reliable in running professional applications. I'd especially recommend this machine if you're a creator or professional that needs a dependable laptop that has good battery life and performance and even if you just a normal user that does some creative stuff on the side, this laptop will be a worthwhile investment that you'll enjoy using. Last, but not least, I'd encourage anyone that gets one of these laptops to check out ASUS's ProArt accessories as they come out. The ProArt Stylus and Mouse is definitely worth a look as they enhance the dial pad functionality even further. In addition the laptop bag is pretty cool too.

    Near-perfect Laptop Choice

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am a current student who was prior using an older laptop that would malfunction in many ways, so it became necessary for me to save up for a new laptop to replace it with. After a bit of research, I chose the PX13 for many different reasons, and since getting it a few weeks ago, I have come to realize how much this laptop is near perfect at whatever I'd need it to do. This laptop contains many different features so I will go over them from my point of view. -Performance: This laptop is remarkably powerful, as it can handle games well enough and handles the classwork perfectly. Even in whisper mode, the laptop runs powerfully while staying silent and cool. No complaints. -Functionality: The most underrated part I didn't realize I would appreciate when I got this laptop was the 2 in 1 feature, which when combined with any MPP smart pen, makes it a very good way to take notes for class or general brainstorming. As for when it is in normal laptop mode, the built-in keyboard is by far the best laptop keyboard I have ever typed on, and the trackpad is very smooth, but has a fairly heavy click, which after a few weeks of light has randomly gotten stuck at times. The dial on the trackpad could be useful, but I am fine without it, and on occasion it will just fail to turn on. Lastly, the speakers were surprisingly very good. -Battery: I don't care much about battery life, so a machine like this is good enough at 7-8 hours when charged to 80%. The charging brick is medium-large size and charges incredibly fast, clearly faster than any I've ever used. -Screen: The OLED screen is so close to perfect, as it is very beautiful but lacks the 120hz which I would've preferred, but I've come to be satisfied with the refresh rate, as the 60hz should not be a deal breaker for how color accurate and detailed everything is. -Build quality: I attest to this laptop being built very sturdy, and when typing or grabbing this laptop you'll be able to feel the quality of the material. -MyASUS: Onboard is an ASUS application that handles the overall control of the laptop which I found incredibly useful, as it is able to make efficient use of power for when it is running on the battery, such as turning off the GPU, then switching everything to performance mode when directly plugged into the wall. It also handles audio settings, driver updates, and any other settings that affect the functionality. Random, small gripes with this laptop: -No webcam privacy shutter -The dial is laggy -No 120hz -Updates through myASUS when first opening the laptop are slow -It is a very pricy laptop, so I waited for it to go on sale to buy it Overall, the work put in to save up for this laptop was 1000% worth it, as this laptop will hopefully serve me well for the foreseeable future. It is incredibly powerful, looks amazing, feels amazing, and functions amazingly. Even with the slight cons, none of them can even come close to bringing down the quality of this machine.

ASUS - ProArt PX13 13 3K Touch Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 - 1TB SSD - Nano Black The ASUS ProArt PX13 is one of the new generation of Windows Copilot+ AI (Artificial Intelligent) computers. While this laptop is designed with creative individuals in mind, its uses are certainly not limited to that single group of users. I can see a broad range of users who could benefit from this new breed of intelligent computers (writers, computer programmers, researchers, tech support personnel, etc.) The ProArt PX13 has a beautiful 13.3 inch OLED touchscreen, a very fast AMD Ryzen processor and a powerful NVIDIA GPU for graphics. It comes with Windows 11 Home. It has a pleasantly surprising number of ports, including one USB Type-A port, two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port (for attaching a monitor or TV), an audio jack and a Micro SD card reader. It’s refreshing to see that many ports are on this unit, given the recent tendency to reduce the number of ports on many newer laptops. It comes with a generous 32Gb of memory and a long-lasting battery. The keyboard was a pleasant surprise. The keys are full size and are brightly lit, so you can easily see the keys, even in the dark. And it has a dedicated Copilot key. You can fold the unit and use it as a tablet, or you can set it up in tent mode if you like. It comes pre-loaded with lots of software that you can choose to install or delete, including Adobe Acrobat, Alexa, Asus WebStorage Sync, Dell CinemaColor, Dell Premier Color, Epson Print and Scan, Google Drive, LogiBolt, MaxxAudioPro, Scan, Skype, WD Discovery, WebStorage Drive and Zoom. This is an excellent choice that can help you move up to the next generation of AI computing.

    Art made for art

The ASUS ProArt series has long been associated with catering to the needs of creative professionals, and the ProArt touch screen laptop continues this tradition with a focus on power, precision, and a seamless user experience. As a multi-faceted device designed to empower artists, designers, and content creators, it boasts a range of features that aim to elevate the creative process. From its impressive display and powerful performance to its innovative input options and sleek design, the ProArt touch screen laptop has garnered attention for its potential to redefine the way creatives work and interact with their digital tools. In this comprehensive review, we delve into the various aspects of this laptop, analyzing its strengths, weaknesses, and overall value proposition for the creative professional. Under the hood, the ProArt touch screen laptop packs a punch with its powerful hardware configuration. Equipped with high-performance processors and ample RAM, it handles demanding creative applications with ease. Whether you're rendering complex 3D models, editing high-resolution videos, or running resource-intensive software, the laptop's performance remains smooth and responsive. The inclusion of dedicated graphics cards further enhances its capabilities, allowing for accelerated graphics processing and smoother real-time rendering. Multitasking is also a breeze on this laptop, thanks to its ample processing power and efficient memory management. This is a crucial aspect for creative professionals who often juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as working on designs, referencing source material, and communicating with clients. The laptop's ability to handle these workloads without significant slowdowns or performance hiccups is a testament to its robust hardware. However, it's important to note that this level of performance comes at a cost. The laptop can get quite warm under heavy load, and the fans can become audible. While this is not uncommon for high-performance laptops, it's something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise or plan to use the laptop in quiet environments. Additionally, the battery life might not be the longest, especially when running demanding applications. This is a trade-off that many powerful laptops face, and it's something to consider if you need a device that can last through extended periods of unplugged use. The ProArt touch screen laptop comes preloaded with a suite of software designed to cater to the needs of creative professionals. This includes ASUS' own ProArt Creator Hub, a centralized platform for managing creative applications, calibrating the display, and customizing the ASUS Dial and Pen. Additionally, the laptop comes with a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, giving users access to a wide range of industry-standard creative software. The integration of hardware and software is seamless, with the ProArt Creator Hub acting as a bridge between the laptop's unique input options and the creative applications. This allows for a more intuitive and efficient workflow, as users can quickly access frequently used tools and settings through the ASUS Dial and Pen. However, it's worth noting that the preloaded software might not be to everyone's taste. Some users might prefer to use their own preferred creative applications, and the inclusion of the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription might be redundant for those who already have their own licenses. Additionally, the ProArt Creator Hub might not be as comprehensive as some other creative software suites, and its interface might take some time to get used to. In conclusion, the ASUS ProArt touch screen laptop is a powerful and versatile machine that caters to the needs of creative professionals. Its stunning OLED display, robust performance, innovative input options, and sleek design make it a compelling choice for artists, designers, and content creators. While it might not be perfect for everyone, its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, making it a worthy investment for those who value power, precision, and creative potential in their digital tools. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring creative, the ASUS ProArt touch screen laptop has the potential to elevate your workflow and unlock new possibilities in your artistic endeavors. Its combination of cutting-edge technology, intuitive input options, and robust performance makes it a standout option in the market for creative laptops. While it might come with a premium price tag, the value it offers in terms of productivity, creativity, and overall user experience is undeniable. If you're looking for a laptop that can empower your creative vision and help you bring your ideas to life, the ASUS ProArt touch screen laptop is definitely worth considering. Be sure to get one. I have used it for its sophisticated drawing design and some tablet-like (and chromebook) features. I love it for everything it can do. It's simply amazing.

As a marketing and content creator, I’ve tried out numerous laptops, but the ASUS ProArt Touch Screen has truly impressed me so far with its next level workflow management and AI integration. There are truly options here that I didn't know existed or that I needed, but now are using on the reg that are making my work not only more efficient, but measures better in the end product that goes out to the public and consumers! Some features I am stoked about are: Cap Cut: I was not actually on the AI bandwagon before testing out Cap Cut. Previously, when uploading videos and marketing content, it was fairly manual clips taken and minimally edited for lighting and sound. The options afforded when using this suite have significantly changed the end product. I feel like we are putting out professional marketing videos for the first time! ProArt Creative Hub is a dashboard application with options to monitor system and resource management, task and file management and worksmart task delegation and collaboration tools. Story Cube: AI media hub. This is a useful tool to sort, categorize and deploy all of the various pics and video clips we accumulate from the different events and locations across our portfolio and then turn them into video content for our social media and blogs postings. This is giving us the ability to add to our public facing presence and outreach easier and multiplying the views by numbers we are not yet able to quantify in a professional manner. Whether you're a professional creator, part of a team or a hobbyist, this laptop offers the tools you need to take your projects to the next level. It’s not just a laptop; it’s a dedicated creative workspace that adapts to your needs. Highly recommended for anyone serious about taking content creation to the next level!

So, I got this while it was discounted on best buy and I was so excited because of all the positive reviews. But all of the reviews didn't mention that this laptop fan is the NOISIEST fan on a laptop I've ever heard in my life. It runs noisy *all* the time. Even when I adjusted the settings to "whisper mode" it started to sound like a normal laptop's fan in a demanding situation. It also got REALLY warm on both the first and second days especially on this whisper mode to the point it was really uncomfortable especially towards the upper keys of the keyboard. I tried to ignore it at first, thinking that maybe I could live with these flaws in order to enjoy a powerful laptop in such a small form factor, but I couldn't even enjoy watching a movie even at high volume with the "jet sound" coming from this machine. I realized that you cannot trust the reviews anymore, because they only focus on things like "benchmarks", but when it comes to daily use, no one would tell you about what I consider to be a major flaw a laptop unless they really use it day to day.

      Dear Damocule,

      Thank you for your comment.

We do understand your concern about the fan noise. It is normal just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like running resource-hungry applications, during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. When the system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down. To resolve the issue, check if the laptop is running with the most current chipset and video drivers, and BIOS version posted at:  https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/hn7306wi/helpdesk_bios/ .

The ASUS ProArt PX13 is one of the new generation of Windows Copilot+ AI (Artificial Intelligent) computers. It comes very well packaged and was easy to set up although I lost internet connection several times but it may have been my WiFi. It has a selection of ports including two USB4 Type C, One USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A, micro SD card slot, HDMI output port and a Headphone/Headset/Microphone jack. It has a long cord for charging. I generally use an IPad so the touch screen it a great addition for me. The screen also bends back 360 degrees so it can function as a tablet. It has a back lit keyboard and feels good. It has military grade durability. This is a very sophisticated laptop, with so many features that for me will be a steep learning curve but this is exciting and challenging. The Microsoft AI program, CoPilot, provides a way to streamline work across Office programs. The provided software includes MyASUS, ProArt Creator Hub, ScreenXpert, GlideX, MuseTree, StoryCube, and CapCut. The laptop is also very light weight. This is an extremely nice laptop and a great opportunity to learn more things using AI.

This started off great. The laptop feels to be well built and premium. I was looking for a laptop for personal use while traveling for work. I carry a large work thinkpad and wanted something small but able to do the tasks I need. The px13 really looked to be ideal for me. I bought it and had it for a couple days before going to europe for work for a while. During this trip the issues began. The worst of which is the touchpad. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes it randomly generates a click for no apparent reason. Sometimes it fails to register taps as clicks. I am no rookie when it comes to such things and have gone through the settings, re installed drivers, etc. Sadly I returned to the states at day 17 after purchase. Best buy refused return or exchange. I contacted asus who had me go back through all the things I had already done. Asus told me I could send it in for repair which should take about 4 weeks. I called bestbuy and asked if I could exchange it or anything and offered to show proof of my flights to and from the US causing me to miss the 14 day window. Of course they refuse. Now I am going to have to send it out for a month to hopefully be repaired. Poor service from both Asus and Best Buy would mean I highly suggest avoiding both.

I made an account just to write this review because this laptop is driving me crazy. My old asus laptop was great until i unfortunately fried it with coffee a few months ago, so I ended up getting this as my new laptop, and it is the worst. I am currently locked out of my laptop because it is once again having this issue where the pin locks me out and when i try to sign in with my Microsoft account it says it is offline and the password doesn’t work. In the past when this has happened the issue is resolved with me restarting the laptop, but I have now done this several times to no avail. Besides this issue, this laptop is incapable of handling any heavy ish programs and frequently blue screens, crashes, or starts lagging severely, in addition to overheating. I have never in my life had so many issues with a computer and I am fed up with it. I have tried to give it a chance these past few months and I can’t take it anymore. Do yourself a favor and get any other laptop.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
