Excellent Laptop – Perfect Balance of Performance

Excellent Laptop – Perfect Balance of Performance and Comfort I’ve been using this laptop for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s fast, responsive, and handles multitasking with ease — multiple browser tabs, Photoshop, streaming, and music all running smoothly without any lag. The keyboard is a joy to type on — soft key travel, no rattling, and very comfortable for long sessions. The screen is bright, crisp, and has great color accuracy — perfect for both work and entertainment. Build quality is solid, the design is sleek, and nothing feels cheap or flimsy. Battery life is impressive — it easily lasts a full workday without needing a charge. Another big plus: the cooling system is quiet and efficient, even under heavy use. Overall, a great value for the price. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable and powerful everyday laptop.

Amazing build quality that also looks incredible. The performance it offers for the form factor is quiet awesome. The heat vents all around this ensured the laptop ran cool. Good heat management. I mostly kept it in whisper mode with discrete graphics turned off. Battery life was Ok realistically, It required high brightness and even at setting all to dark theme got around 4 to 5 hrs. But on the plus side, it would charge really really quick, I've never seen anything charge this fast, around an hour for full charge. Purchased it use for some coding and web browsing use. It works good for web browsing esp. watching HDR content is breathtaking. However, for coding, the screen size is bit too small, and increasing to 175% font size seems fewer lines visible. Screen glare was pretty bad and annoying when its in even in mild to moderate lighting conditions. I believe that the laptop who this was intended for i.e. content creators would be really happy with this - It packs the performance and a stunning screen. Additionally regular web browisng, MS office users should also appreciate this esp. 2 in 1 features. Won't recommend for someone that wants to use for code or software development though.

I did a ton of research about laptops in this class before my purchase. I wanted something in a 13" form factor, with 32GB of RAM, a fantastic screen, good build quality, and solid battery life. From the online reviews, this laptop seemed to check all the boxes, so I made the plunge (taking advantage of a sale price at Best Buy). And I can happily report that what I'm reading in the reviews is all true! Build quality is great. Love the finish of the laptop. Really looks premium and seems to resist fingerprints somewhat. Keyboard is satisfactory/good, but not the best I've used. Not bad by any measure, just not the best. Backlighting is great, with very little bleed under the keys. Trackpad is big and responsive. Haven't used the scroll wheel at all. Not really appealing to me. Screen is fantastic. No observable screen door effect. Bright. Great colour. Upon firing-up the laptop for the first time, it went through a series of Win11 updates and the proprietary ASUS app did the trick to update drivers and the BIOS. Very easy. Nice to get things current for all the features/devices without having to hunt around on the web. The laptop feels quite snappy with the 32GB of ram and solid AMD processor. 1TB SSD is plenty big for my needs. My only complaint thus far is the AC power brick. It's CHONK. I know the laptop requires a 200W PSU to power the CPU/GPU (love the discrete GPU in a 13" laptop), but it significantly increases the carry weight of the laptop when traveling. But I can't think of any way to get around that as PD on the USB-C ports only goes to 100W. Anyways, I love the laptop so far and will report back with more findings as appropriate!

Great little computer, but battery life is short. you can make it last a little longer using energy saver and disabling the GPU. Powerful 2-in-1 though, and perfect size for travel. keyboard has a nice feel for me ( I like solid keys).

After some debating I purchased this laptop two months ago. I travel and am in hotels 2-3 nights a week, so I wanted something lightweight enough to haul with me, but strong enough to game with. This thing does exactly that. It's small and light enough to sit with it in bed or on the sofa for a movie or light gaming, but strong enough for more demanding games as well. While it runs slightly hot, I'd love to see something this thin and light run a modern game and not break 65C. Any complaints about this thing are people comparing apples to oranges. You're getting a 2-in-1 that's less than 1 inch thick, barely 3lbs, but with the RAM and graphics card of a gaming laptop. In my opinion, it's the best of every world.

Where to begin - first off, I primarily use my laptop for BIM modeling and CAD work, as well as some programming on the side, and this laptop is a beast. The CPU is fast, the screen is vivid with color, the GPU comes in handy eith the CAD work, 32GB of RAM ensures it can handle my workload, and the build quality is what you expect for a professional laptop — it’s a compelling package if you’re looking for a 13.3-inch laptop.

What a deal I got on this notebook, $1799 MSRP - $500(sale) - $300 (trade-in) - $150 (BB Store Card Promo) + no tax weekend = $850! This PC will be used for a college student and ticked all of the boxes. Size, quality, features and power to run AI. Snap Dragon and Mac were not options based on the courseware requirements; this was the chef's kiss. Build quality, specs, keyboard backlighting, OLED and most important the tactile quality.

TLDR; this laptop is impressive. Got this as my travel laptop, which is way overkill I know. I could have went with a much less loaded laptop for that, but given the light weight and the USB C charging capability (so I don't have to lug the power brick with me), works perfectly and has the horsepower I need when I need it. I did wish it had a 2Tb SSD though, so I did make that upgrade after I got it along with Windows 11 Pro, and using the original 1Tb SSD in a small enclosure as an external drive. Nice screen, rich deep colors, and the 60 Hz doesn't bother me in the least, even for the light gaming I end up doing on it. Finally, the integrated AMD graphics already punches up through its class, so I save battery power not having to use the dedicated RTX 4050 graphics that often. The ASUS software makes switching between those graphics modes really easy.

There are some driver issues. Quirks. The cooling is pretty loud at load. But all of this is to be expected from a 2-in-1 thats not from apple. All in all, it works very well. I genuinely love the asus dial feature for adjusting faders, sliders, and knobs in audio apps. a gimmick i was not sold on initially is something I dont want to go without now. The keyboard is lovely, the large print font is an odd choice... and the backlight doesnt get dim enough for my tastes. All in all im happy with it.

Every major YouTube review of this laptop loves it. I don't get it. I didn't. The best thing this unit has going for it is that it's the first of it's kind. Since the Olympics just ended, here's how I'd compare it. Imagine in a race, an athlete wins a gold medal, but one of the runners behind him tripped. Does that athlete not deserve praise for winning the race? Sure. Is it as good as if everyone had a fair chance at the race? Probably not. That's how I feel the YouTube comments of this produce be. There's praise to be had, but it seems missed. It's not a bad laptop. I just want more, especially for the price. The keyboard wasn't the best. There's a noticeable flex in it. At this price, I don't want that. The screen should have a better refresh rate. (I know I'm not the first, nor will be the last to say this.) And then there was the drawing experience. With the list of issues I had on mine, it made the whole thing feel dated. Like it's not a machine coming out in 2024, rather earlier 2020. On top of that list was the bad palm rejection, or lack there of. I like the 2-in-1 factor to use as an occasional drawing pad. If this could do that well, I would not have been upset by it. When you draw on a screen with better than 60htz refresh, you can tell when you go back. The two biggest issues however didn't end there. For me the fan was way too loud, especially on not too heavy use. If I'm trying to wind down at the end of the day, watching YouTube clips, I don't want to be re-awakened by the loud fan noise. I'm sure it does a good job cooling down the necessary components, but for a thin-and-light, the fans got way too loud for my comfort. It's not just the decibels of the fans, the pitch didn't help either. It's pitch is higher than a handful of laptops I have used. I don't want to raise the volume of this laptop to drown out the fan noises, it defeats the purpose. The other major issue I had was the weak camera. Also the IR sensor used for facial unlock. My face had to be at an exact spot for facial unlock to work. It made me wish that this laptop came with a fingerprint sensor as well, especially with the hit or miss rate of the IR camera. Perhaps it was more annoying because as a new laptop I had to re-enter so many old passwords on Chrome websites. But on that note, something about ASUS that doesn't seem to like Windows 11vas much as other computer brands out there. One perk of modern Windows 11 is that you can change computers more seamlessly than previous versions of Windows. Things like Wi-fi passwords are saved and usually migrate from one laptop to another. Less so with Asus laptops. I don't know why. Overall this isn't a bad computer by any means. It is clearly a "jack of all trades, master of none," type of device. It doesn't seem to know what it wants to be or who exactly it's made for. Not sure who this is for. If you were to ask, "can it do it?" the more than likely answer would be "yes," but, based on what you need, if you were to ask, "can it do what I need well?" the answer becomes a little muddier. Buy it on sale, when it's not at full price. Otherwise, you might regret picking this one up.

The device itself has some pros and cons Pros: -Screen: Oled / size -2in1. -both IGPU and DGPU Mode. -Portability. -Can game if needed (1200p for best performance) - IGPU can also game for lower power gaming. -HX370 is an amazing chip on its own. -4050 can come in handy when plugged into wall. Cons: -Battery discharge is above average when under load. Even at low tdp modes. -a bit heavy for table mode. -screen max brightness is a bit low. - default fan profiles are loud. Calibrate them later in ghelper.

Returned it and bought the G14 instead. Pros: 1. Exceptional performance - Zen 5 processor, high wattage on the GPU, 32 GB of RAM. Can’t get any better than this. 2. Shockingly excellent cooling - stays cool to the touch, never throttles, fans dead silent in light use, unnoticeable in medium use, jet engine in super heavy use, but that’s to be expected given the beefy specs 3. Keyboard and speakers are very nice 4. Durable as a tank 5. Great open box price Cons: 1. Hinge isn’t tight enough. You’ll notice the screen going back when typing on your lap. Forget about using touch or pen without holding the screen or rotating it 180 degrees on a flat surface or 360 degrees otherwise 2. Power button is on the side for some reason 3. The dial is pointless and laggy. Ruins the overall experience of the trackpad even when turned off because of the imprinting 4. Tons of bloatware, even creators wouldn’t use half of these. Fixable problem though 5. The RTX 4060 version costs a whole lot more for some reason, even though that’s the only difference 6. SSD is one of those smaller types 7. The display. This is the reason I returned this laptop. I can live with the other cons but not this one. 13 inches will be too small for 90% of people who require beefy specs. Your neck will strain doing any focused task for a long enough period of time. Hard to see small text like code or Excel cells. It runs any game you throw at it but the small display would make for a very bad gaming experience. The difference between 13 and 14 inches is way bigger than you think. The 60 Hz refresh rate is abysmal and inexcusable for a laptop of this grade - it affects every single thing you do and every customer, including the creative crowd whom this laptop is targeting, will hate it. Using a pen to draw something? Forget it. Doing productivity work on MS office? Forget it. Gaming? Forget it. Stock trading? Forget it. I didn’t mind all the cons too much, and neither will most people, except for the display. If it was a 14” with a higher refresh rate this would sell out VERY quickly. Who do I recommend this for? 1. Folks who have external monitors everywhere they go and only use the laptop screen for consuming content and such 2. No one else. Even those used to the 13” form factor and looking for a pen-supported 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop. 60 Hz refresh rate would make the experience much worse than that on other premium 2-in-1 laptops

Very fast, exactly what i wanted in small portable screen size, 2 in 1 as i draw with a pen, and fast and able to play games like harry potter. drawbacks were the first time i bought this it was super buggy and start spazzing out and changing display setting randomly. had to send it back. was worried that it was all laptops. got a new one shipped and this is what im writing with today. is really good. hate the battery , looks like this is what asus does. im much more of a fan of lenovo chargers. this charger is a huge heavy brick . BUT LUCKILY supports usb c charging - so it can keep it light weight while traveling. so far im very happy.. low battery life is the only con i see

Overall great computer. I love the size. I love that there are a lot of ports. I love that it's fast. The things I don't like is: (1) the charger is massive and weighs a nearly the same weight as the computer. So if you're traveling, its annoying. (2) the ergonomics of the keyboard is not great where your hands rest - the hands are propped up when they should be lower, and coming from an XPS13, you really feel the difference. (3) The F1 button is not aligned above the 1 like every other keyboard is, so when I go to push F2, I am almost always pushing F1. (4) The copilot button near the keyboard I wish was a CTRL button. (5) The battery doesn't last at all. Maybe I get 1-2 hours off this thing if I'm not connected to the power. (6) I wish the Prnt screen button was it's own button. (7) I wanted to buy a warranty from Asus, but because I bought this from BestBuy, you can't buy a warranty from Asus - which sucks. (8) The computer sometimes heats up so much that the computer screen doesn't display anything. I haven't witnessed it, but I've woken up to it before. (9) I would have loved it if the computer was a little lighter, but I don't mind since it's pretty small. (10) I'm used to a more 16:9 ratio screen, this is more square.

Have mostly used it to play stardew valley and it works well. I'm just getting the hang of drawing on it. It was a bit of a learning curve for me at first but it had more to do with my lack of experience. I've also used it for creating a collage photo album and it worked well for that too. So far I have no complaints.

I wanted to love this laptop. I bought it to work on adobe creative cloud-photoshop. The first time using the laptop, fully charged, it was working really smooth, and nicely. Then the fans turned on and started getting really hot. I turned it off ir I thought I did because the next day it was still running. It was so hot to the touch and it wouldn’t turn on. The screen was black. I forced a shut down and after many attempts it finally stopped. I waited a few hours to let it cool off and turned it back on. This time there was update available so I did it. I opened creative cloud again- ps and it was unstable. It would turn off in the middle of my work. It was very frustrating. I’m going to return it and keep using my specter x360 which is not the right laptop for this kind of work but it is more stable than this one. I really wanted to love it. The keyboard is very nice to type, love the touchscreen and the size and appearance of it.

For me, what it came down to was “How much do I really need/value and OLED Screen in a laptop of 13”?” The screen? Ohhhh ya…it’s luxurious. The look … about as close to a luxury camera as you can get—and that goes from the packaging all the way down to the travel/typing sensation on the keyboard; but then it things change. The first boot was glitchy, and elements of that remained every time I turned it on. Speaking of turning it on, the power button is very minimal. As for the rest of the device…and this is one that really knocks a laptop in particular out of contention is—the location of the power cord. While it isn’t some fragile little socket, it is located dead center left on the device which is cumbersome, and puts torque on the fitting any time it is moved. Here’s where things simply became intolerable. The power consumption is ravenous. I didn’t even load Lightroom or any other photo/video editing software because of the drain on the battery. It has a touch screen but since it only has two hinges—it wobbles like the inflatable character beckoning you to stop at the car wash. The pro-art component is confusing and located on the upper left of the key pad so engaging with that was beyond my tolerance. Full disclosure, I have owned ASUS products in the past and I find them to be extremely well built. In Summary, if you really need to have the color response of an OLED Screen in a consistently portable device…then this is for you. If not, too many compromises—which is unfortunate.
