Pretty easy to understand. Although I would’ve liked that it included a LAN port.

Despite of HDMI 2.0 this 'hub' is not supporting 3440*1440 (UWQHD) 100Hz like similar devices with HDMI 2.0. (to be proactive..yes I did update to the latest firmware and I tired to contact support but I got directed back to BestBuy for post sales support..)

I highly recommend it verses a 3rd party charger. It might to give you the 65w power the system needs to charge while cinnected to HMDI and this official ASUS Dock charger will support that.

When I'm at home, I hook it up to the monitor and play. Also, you can change the monitor settings to extend the display, duplicate or turn off the roof display and only show it on the monitor ( see pic) just like a laptop.

Only complaint is sometimes my games will play audio through the unit and not the tv. Also ordered it to the wrong store and service was able to change my order and get me the unit on the spot.

This works great. The only issue I have with it is it only has 1 USB port and 1 USB C port. It would be better in my opinion if it had at least 2 so that if you needed to charge or hook up multiple things to your Ally you could.

But it was worth it, instead of a dock, you can use this Adapter to connect to your HDMI monitor and a USB Xbox controller while charging your Ally.

The 6 foot cable gives you excellent flexibility for when you are in play and charge mode. The USB A port allows for the addition of a mouse and keyboard dongle [even more if you add a USB hub]. Add a monitor through the HDMI port, and it helps make for a nice desktop setup.

One USB port isnt enough for the price in my opinion, but atleast this is a good idea having ports where you plug in the device vs. on the device and it is made for the Rog Ally.
