Poor, Thumbs Down!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You would think for a $65 dollar accessory it would sustain a longer lifespan. Literally bought one of these in August 2023 and here I am on Nov 26 left with a charging dock that out of the three ports works. The HDMI function is still usable but what’s the point when it can’t even charge my Rog Ally at the same time. Disappointed in this one Asus

Great flexibility with HDMI/USB-A/USB-C ports
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent add-on for the ROG Ally handhelds. The HDMI port allows connectivity to a TV and/or Monitor. The USB C port connects with the ROG Ally and the USB A port will support a single device or in my case I've connected a 4-port powered USB Hub to it and power my Thrustmaster Joystick and 2 Elgato Stream Decks through it. The 65 watts charge my unit very quickly. Aside from the docking capabilities one of the other features I like about this versus the standard charger is the fact that the connection from it to the Ally is a USB C cable so when putting the charger into my Ally carrying case I can disconnect it from both the Ally and the charger. This makes it much easier to store as you don't have to deal with the usual wrapping of a cable around the charger.

Great but one downfaĺl
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good and does whats expected my only issue is having to plug the HDMI or Type C or usb into the actual plug. If there is distance between your monitor and your sockets you will need long cords, which isnt a issue unless u were going for no visible cords. I take it with me most of the time because it is a SUPER FAST charger. Outside of the awkward need for longer cords this is a very good product and definately a good buy for not just ROG owners. I tried it with Samsung Dex and attached to a Ipad 12.9 via type c and they displayed on my TV perfectly. There was a little lag in Samsung dex but not on the monitor but my phone Galaxys22 Ultra seemed to studder between transitioning screens while it was attached. But speeds back up when detached. But the vidoe output was flawless.

Good Dock/Charger but get it when it’s on sale.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent, easy to use and work as intended. Wish it was a 100 watt charger as well as a dock. Has HDMI and usb C and A, so you can have a full desktop setup if you wanted too. I got in on sale for $29 during the holiday sale. Do not pay full price unless you have to have this. There are decent 3rd party options.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This charger dock combonshould set rhe standard for chargers! The charging speed is fantastic, charges my android phone at “super fast” speeds vs just “fast”. Works well with dex mode on my android and the dock works great on my 16” macbook pro. I will definitely be picking up a second to keep in my travle bag

This is crucial if owning the Asus Rog Ally
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is crucial if you own the Asus Rog Ally or any other Rog laptop. I have tested like 3 usbc hubs along with my 144hz gaming monitor and, one of them were an Asus brand usbc hub with dual 4k display and a usbc port for power pass through. It works but when plugged in there is an Armoury crate dialgoe box saying that the power hub supplied isnt enough or something for performance mode; please use the included charger that the Ally came with , or something like that. Though it works sjowing 120hz, other non branded hubs show otherwise up to 60hz, and stuck at 30hz where ehen you play a hame , in full screen mode it will quit saying there’s no supported graphics card, which is absurd. This ROG GAMING CHARGER DOCK is the real deal; 120hz (depending on your monitor otherwise 60hz), NO Armoury crate error saying power isnt enough- its just the only hub 100 thet will work for the Ally if youre connecting to a monitor. My only complainis the stock, theyre sometimes sold out and also not in stores.

Excellent Charging Accessory
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently had the opportunity to test the 65W ROG Charger with HDMI 2.0 Port, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. This charger not only delivers rapid charging capabilities but also offers the added convenience of an HDMI 2.0 port, enabling seamless connectivity with monitors or TVs. One standout feature of this charger is its ability to charge the R.O.G Ally to 80 percent capacity in just 40 minutes. This level of efficiency is truly impressive, making it ideal for users on the go who require a quick power boost. The charger's robust power output ensures a reliable and stable charging experience. The inclusion of the HDMI 2.0 port is a welcome addition, allowing users to effortlessly connect their devices to external displays and enjoy high-definition content. The seamless transmission of audio and video signals further enhances the overall user experience. In conclusion, the 65W Charger with HDMI 2.0 Port is a remarkable charging solution that combines rapid charging capabilities with the convenience of an HDMI connection. Its ability to charge the R.O.G Ally to 80 percent in just 40 minutes is nothing short of impressive. Whether you're a busy professional or a multimedia enthusiast, this charger is a reliable and efficient companion that will elevate your charging and connectivity needs.

Decent but way too expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basically plug n play. DONT FORGET TO UPDATE THE DOCK! its not a step in the instructions, im just used to having to update everything i buy. The only downside to this model is there’s not enough usb ports for the price. Sure it is very portable, and its quality. Just seems like something that should come with the device. Or maybe charge $30 tops. There’s some pretty incredible docks out there for the same price that have 10 times the features. If you’re only looking to buy here, I’d say get the regular dock. This one has to have a usb hub if you want to use multiple devices. There’s always Bluetooth but I prefer the 2.4 all day.

A great accessory (that needs a firmware update)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a Steam Deck or a Nintendo Switch, I cannot recommend this enough. With a firmware update, it will flawlessly work with just about any TV or computer monitor that I throw at it, making it an excellent travel companion when you want to play on a big screen. Fairly compacy and powerful enough to charge most of my devices without any problems, this is really a game changer (and I’m glad that Asus ensured other devices could use it). If I could change one thing, it would have a longer and less stiff USB-C cable in the box (and maybe a matching, long HDMI cable to go with it).

Essential accessory for ROG Ally
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This adapter works great and seamlessly. While the Ally is great as a portable, handheld gaming device, the option to hook it up to a larger screen is great when that is desired. It doesn’t come with an HDMI cable, but aside from getting one of those, using the adapter is as simple as plugging it in to the wall, the Ally, and a tv. The console automatically detects the second screen. Having it charge the Ally while in use is convenient, and there is very little latency in the image on the second screen.

Vastly superior to the Allys in-box charger
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really cool little power brick. Had a minor issue with it when I first set it up, because I initially tried using a 10ft USBC PD cable that I already owned, but it didn't work. I tried multiple USBC cables, and none would output a video signal to my TV through the dock. Once I switched to the included 6ft cable in the box, it worked fine. I plugged it in behind my TV and wanted a longer cord to be able to set the Ally on the couch next to me, and 6ft isn't long enough to do that. I plugged a 3 port USB adapter into the single USB type A slot, and then plugged in three wireless receivers into the adapter: a 2.4ghz dongle for a Razer headset, a lightspeed dongle for a Logitech G502 wireless mouse, and a 2.4ghz dongle for a Redragon wireless keyboard. It all works perfectly. All that is missing from a setup like this is a XG mobile egpu, but I am not paying $2,000 for a proprietary 4090. I will simply wait until they offer an empty enclosure and I will use one of my existing GPUs. As an added bonus, with zero fuss or difficulty, the charger was able to enable desktop mode on a Oneplus 10 Pro and Dex mode on two Samsung phones, an S9 and a S21, just by plugging them in as you would with the Ally. Pretty cool. I was on the fence with the price, but now that I have it, I'm glad I have it. When you are ready to get up and go with it in hand, just unplug it from the cord and you are off.

Reliable Dock for ASUS ROG Ally
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried a few knockoffs from Amazon, but they either wouldn’t connect at all or wouldn’t allow the turbo mode (yes, I was using a 100W adapter). This is the only dock I will use for my Rog Ally. It’s pricey, but occasionally will go on sale.

Added Performance and Connectivity Options
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grabbed this A) to get the most performance out of my Gen1 Ally Extreme as possible, and 2) or B) to add keyboard and mouse functions in order to "Downgrade" to Windows 10. I'm sure I will go back to running this thing in 11, and possibly even 12 down the line. Until then, I want as close to an unencumbered gaming experience as possible. That means running Windows 10 on this thing. Little pricey, but worth it in the long run.

Still the best "dock" for the Asus ROG Ally
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this Asus first party charger (65w with usb and HDMI) and I also have a JSAux docking station. The ASUS charger is my go to, tho I do place my Ally in the JSAux, I literally only use it to hold my device. I still plug it directly into this device. It consistently gives me the ability to play on a larger monitor and still run at 30w or more in Turbo or Boost modes when plugged in. Bases like the JSAux still require you to buy a 100 w charger which will run you about the same price as the ASUS charger plus the price of it base.
