I picked up the ASUS ROG Ally Premium Hard Case because I wanted something sturdy to protect my Ally when traveling or tossing it in a backpack. After using it for a bit, I think it’s a good case overall. It's well made, protective, and clearly designed with the Ally in mind, but like a lot of “official” accessories, the price feels a little higher than what you’re actually getting. The build quality is solid. The exterior shell is firm and keeps its shape, and it feels durable enough to handle bumps or getting squeezed inside a crowded bag. The zipper is smooth, and the handle feels strong without being bulky. Inside, the molded shape fits the ROG Ally perfectly, with enough padding to keep it from shifting around. It gives the device a snug, secure feel that generic cases don’t always offer. There’s also a small internal pocket for cables or small accessories, which is handy. It’s not big enough for the charger brick, but it comfortably fits a USB-C cable or earbuds. The case doesn’t add a ton of weight, and the slim profile makes it easy to carry or pack away. That said, the premium branding definitely shows up in the price. There are third-party cases with similar protection and storage for noticeably less money. The main advantages here are the guaranteed fit and the slightly higher-end feel. If those matter to you or if you prefer official accessories you’ll be happy with it. But if you’re just looking for basic protection, you can get similar results without spending as much. Overall, the ASUS ROG Ally Premium Hard Case does exactly what it’s supposed to: it protects the device well, fits perfectly, and feels durable. It’s a quality case, no question. Just be aware that part of the cost is tied to the branding, not necessarily a dramatic jump in functionality. If you want a reliable, form-fitting case and don’t mind paying a bit extra, this one is a solid choice.

Good quality, hard shell case. Only issue is that the zipper is very hard ro zip. Meybe needs to be broken in.

Good case to protect your ROG Ally X. Has a place for the charging cable and soft Velcro straps to hold the Ally in place. Zipper is high quality and doesn’t bind. One complaint the charger storage compartment should have been made bigger.

This case is amazing, the hard shell helps keep things safe and secure. The compartment for charging cable has enough space for other small wires, dongles, etc. The zipper can be a little hit or miss in terms of smoothness (sometimes you really have to pull on it with a but of force to get it to close up)

Traveling with this thing? A breeze. It’s slim enough to slip into a backpack or carry-on, but tough enough to protect your precious console from the horrors of airport security conveyor belts. I tossed it into my overstuffed suitcase, wedged between a pair of hiking boots and a pineapple (don’t ask), and my Ally came out unscathed. The handle on this case is a game-changer. It makes you feel like you’re carrying something way more important than a gaming device. I walked through the airport with this case in hand, and I swear people thought I was a VIP on my way to a high-stakes esports tournament. Is it pricey for a case? Sure. But when you’re protecting something as cool (and expensive) as the ROG Ally, it’s worth it. Plus, it makes traveling feel organized—a rare feeling for someone like me who usually packs in a panic. TL;DR: This case is the ultimate travel companion. If you love your ROG Ally, get this case. It’s like a first-class ticket for your favorite gaming device.

Does what it was designed to do - protect your Ally. Picked up an Ally X for gaming on the go. Needed a case, and this is what they had at the time. Have not put it through the paces travel-wise, yet, so cannot comment on durability, crush-proofness, etc., but it's nice to keep it in the case when not in use. Zipper is a bit difficult to close/open, but may ease up some with more use. Bottom compartment for charger is a bit small to handle the stock charger+cable, but they will fit. All in all, does what I need it to do.

Bought my ROG ALLY X for an upcoming trip, and I needed something that would hold it firmly while traveling. It's very nice. Some additional space for additional accessories and memory cards I would assume. I have none, but I like that it's there

Got this to go with my Ally X. The case itself is pretty great quality. Has a great look and nice feel and the Ally fits perfectly for a very snug safe storage. There is a flap you close over the screen for more protection.

It does exactly what it is supposed to, and when traveling, it clearly protects the device well. It has storage for the charger as well, so it is all packed nicely with good protection.

This case for the ROG Ally X is well-made and does offer solid protection, but it falls short of expectations—especially at this price point. It’s bulky, yet surprisingly doesn’t have space for essential accessories like a charger or cables. If you're going to market something as "premium," it should offer more than just a snug fit for the device. A truly premium case should cover the full experience, including storage for accessories. As it stands, it's a decent protective shell, but not a complete solution.

Solid case, good zipper, and has a compartment to store your charger. Also includes some slots to store micro sd cards.

Absolutely love the quality of this travel hard case for the ROG. Great quality material inside and out. Great interior protection as well as soft touch fibers on interior protecting screen from scratches
