Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was super excited for this product but upon opening it out the box it had a defect from manufacturer the fan was super loud and the performance lacked also crashed on me multiple times before I did research to realize my rog was defective out of the box I've never had a handheld so I just thought it was naturally loud turns out it wasn't got a warranty replacement and it's been OK since mostly play bo6 and older games off emulator software

If you know for a fact you'll be bringing your Ally while traveling, I'd say this is a decent investment. If you don't plan on it, you'll probably be better off getting a softer travel case and/or a thinner protective case, because this thing is more expensive than it needs to be.

Like the “hard” case as it is more protective than the cloth outer shell of the cheaper option. No complaints other than the zipper is awkward and snags easily if you’re in a hurry and I can see it breaking with repeated use/snags.

If you are buying a rog x I would assume you want to protect something you paid $800 for and this case will do that. Highly recommend if you don’t mind the size of it

The performance, the looks, the battery life, the build quality is just amazing. I played for 3 hours on a 5 hour flight with battery only drained 50%. The display is super crisp, bright, and with great contrast and I’m not left wishing for OLED.

I like how the compartment for accessories is under where the device lays and not on the upper flap. Now just have to get a better charging brick and cable to make it fit better. I can see myself traveling with this. I’d recommend the JSAUX mod case if you didn’t want to bring this case around.
