I'd recommend going with another manufacturer.

This graphics card, purchased new for $3,359.99, exhibited unsatisfactory performance from the outset, presenting with blue screen errors and an aesthetically unappealing paint imperfection on the front of the heatsink assembly, apparently addressed during manufacturing. Despite requesting replacement components (heatsink and thermal pad) for self-repair, Asus declined, mandating an RMA process. The return shipping cost me $40(FedEx box and materials). Asus's response indicated that such paint blemishes are considered within acceptable manufacturing tolerances. The card awaits return shipment from Asus RMA in California. While Asus produces high-quality products, their customer support proved awful in this instance. RMA# USKVT40822.

Man, upgrading from my RTX 3080 to the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 was like jumping to lightspeed—those 21,760 shader cores and 32GB of GDDR7 memory make 4K gaming feel like a dream, with zero stutters. The quad-fan cooling keeps it frosty even during marathon sessions, and it’s so quiet I forget it’s there. That 2580 MHz overclock and slick RGB vibe make my rig look and run like a sci-fi beast. Totally worth It

Magnificent card. Mine doesn't have even a hint of coil whine. It runs silent until you configure an aggressive fan profile. At peak 600w, the temp doesn't go above 64 C (with fans maxed out). Fan noise definitely is audible at 50%+ but it's a clean sound, and is sort of like a tiny jet engine, haha. Gaming performance is impressive. My 4K 144hz monitor can't really push it, unless I turn off sync and open up the fps. I haven't done much with overclocking except setting the power target and voltage to max in msi afterburner. I have owned evga, msi, and now asus XX90 cards and this one takes the cake.

This card is a beast, it run 2 4k 240hz monitors with ease, runs any game out now at ultra settings, I’ve never seen it get above 55C under full load overclocked with no coil whine, unlike the 4090 FE it replaced.

Finally time to upgrade old computer system due to it being 10-years old and Windows 10 no longer being supported. Went from a Dell XPS with a NVIDIA GTX 970 to this monster of a graphics card. I am blown away by this card and the new 9950x3d chip as well!! Did I overpay for this card? Absolutely! Fortunately, I only do this once every 10+ years, so I decided to go all out! Very pleased!! This thing is very heavy and was challenging to get into the PCIe slot, but once I got it in there, it has been like gold!

Quiet, powerful, easy to OC, and very aesthethetically pleasing. The pin detection software is also great for piece of mind for those who are worried enough to keep a fire extinguisher nearby...

Overpriced, and extremely heavy. And somehow, I guess I lost the silicon lottery, because the OC potential on mine seems to fall short compared to others online. Has an audible coil whine when around 400W, but the features are nice. I have no idea how to balance the currents on the connector, so now I just run it knowing I could potentially catch my house on fire. Thanks Asus!

This is the first NVIDIA GPU I've owned where I handily beat all the averages for every test on 3D Mark.
The reason why these are better than other 5090s is that Asus 'bins" each chip, ie., ensuring that you've effectively won the silicon lottery for high performance with stability.
So relative to unbinned chips like the founders edition or cheaper models from Asus or other AIBs you will have a higher frame rate up to 10%'ish, but probably closer to 2 to 5% in any given game.
It is the best money can buy, but is it worth a $1k+ premium to chips that were good enough to meet minimum standards for NVIDIA but not good enough to be this model? That is very up for debate and probably personal.
But having brought this home expecting the best and getting it...I must say that I'm not disappointed.

The ASUS Astral 5090 is an absolute powerhouse! This GPU is designed to handle the most demanding games and applications with ease. The quad-slot, quad-fan cooling solution ensures it runs cool even under heavy loads. The performance is unmatched, thanks to the Blackwell architecture and 32GB of GDDR7 memory

This card is one of the most powerful gpu on earth. It has its own pin sensing feature to detect if there is an imbalance in power distribution. It also has the 4th fan for better cooling. Definitely a must buy if you want the play max ultra settings with ray tracing on a 4k monitor!

There’s not much to say about it. It can handle any games available today and will likely handle most of the upcoming releases for the next few years. If you’re due for an upgrade, it’s a wise investment.

The ASUS Astral RTX 5090 is a beast—super fast, runs cool and quiet, and handles anything you throw at it, whether it's gaming or creative work. Power connector monitoring is a big plus.

Seemed crazy at the time to spend much more than the other available models, but the pin voltage detector was actually able to notify me of a bad cable pin. I feel much better having spent more vs having an overheat/fire issue later.
And with current pricing issues, I am hoping this card lasts me a long long time

This has been an amazing upgrade from my 3090 asus strix. The 5090 astral is my new card and i couldnt be happier with the performance and more importantly the stability. But it is way to expensive. All of the 5090s are. But i was scared for what the 6090 would cost so I bought in at over 3k almost 3.5k after tax.

The ROG Astral wasn’t the first RTX 5090 on my list, but I’m glad I ended up with this. It’s a thing of beauty and fits nicely in my case. Dig the Dual Bios feature too, although I’m all about Performance anyways. And it does perform well. Looking forward to pairing this with a new VR headset and hitting the track in my racing sim rig. Note: I’m only giving “Value” high marks because as of today other than Best Buy, you can’t find this card for less than twice what I paid.
