This keyboard has similarities compared to it's predecessor the Asus Azoth. I like the switches it comes with. It has that tactile feel to it and very immediate responsiveness. The aestetics makes it a good looking keyboard. The Armoury Crate software has customizations for the right Oled screen.

Lighter compared to the first gen azoth, but definitely more clicks, and faster response. There is an issue from trying to update the firmware through Armory crate, but that is just rog software in nutshell, and keyboard itself id doing well so far.

This keyboard is just what I was looking for. The snow switches in this keyboard feel much better than the regular Azoth version. The battery life lasts driver. Software (Armoury Crate) is meh and wonky but it works.

Bottom Line Up Front The ROG Azoth X is a 75% wireless gaming keyboard that nails premium feel and thoughtful extras. It blends solid build materials, excellent typing acoustics, and clever travel-friendly details into a compact, customizable package. If you want a small board that feels expensive and works well both at home and on the go, this is a strong contender. Build and feel - Materials: Metal top cover, FR4 positioning plate, silicone gasket mount, and five-layer dampening come together for a pleasantly cushioned, supremely stable typing experience. The FR4 plate gives a bit more flex than aluminum, producing bright, gentle acoustics that are refined rather than clangy. - Switches & keycaps: Hot-swappable, pre-lubed ROG NX V2 switches deliver consistent, responsive actuation out of the box. Three-sided translucent, dye-sublimated keycaps let RGB glow through beautifully while staying durable and readable. - Ergonomics: Compound risers (full riser + half-step riser) allow fine control of tilt and height—great for someone who wants a slightly elevated angle without jumping to the tallest setting. Thoughtful extras and travel features - USB dongle storage: The magnetized slot near the mode switch is a slick, travel-minded touch. It keeps the dongle safe and out of the way when you’re using Bluetooth or just prefer not to use RF. - Wrist rest: The silicone wrist rest is surprisingly nice—comfortable, firm, and perfectly matched to the keyboard’s aesthetic. Memory foam might have been softer, but this silicone option balances comfort, durability, and cost while keeping the overall look seamless. - OLED & controls: The OLED gives useful system info and settings feedback; the three-way knob feels intuitive for volume, lighting, or other mappings. - Battery life: With a mixed usage scenario (50% keyboard OLED on, 50% on wireless), expect about once-a-month charging with 6 hours of daily use—very convenient for most users. What I liked most - Attention to small design details that matter in real life (magnetic dongle slot, wrist rest matching the board). - Typing feel that’s both cushioned and refined, thanks to gasket mount, FR4 plate, and multi-layer dampening. - Flexibility: hot-swap switches, south-facing PCB for keycap compatibility, and adjustable risers tick all the customization boxes without needing immediate mods. Minor things - The silicone wrist rest is excellent but a memory foam option would offer a plusher feel for those who prefer softer support. - If you heavily rely on OLED features, that will shave battery life more than typical use—worth noting for power-conscious users. - The board sits at a premium level; users who don’t value the build materials or OLED may find it harder to justify the cost. Verdict ROG Azoth X is a well-executed 75% keyboard for gamers and enthusiasts who want premium materials, great out-of-the-box typing, and practical travel features. The magnetic dongle slot and matching silicone wrist rest show attention to real-world use, while the gasket mount, FR4 plate, and pre-lubed NX V2 switches deliver a refined typing experience. Recommend for anyone who wants a compact, customizable keyboard that looks and feels like a higher-end desktop staple.

The Asus ROG Azoth X is a TKL/75% mechanical keyboard that checks a lot of boxes and then some. Feature-wise this is one of the best I’ve used so far, but with so many competitions, the Azoth X has a disadvantage due its high list price. But nonetheless, I have been happily using it for the last few weeks and am glad to make it by default keyboard. Unboxing the Azoth X is without much surprises. In line with most gaming mechanical keyboards, it comes with both a keycap and a switch puller, 3 extra switches, along with the wireless dongle and braided USB-C cable. A USB-C to -A adapter is included for convenience. Something not common is the included silicone wrist pad which matches the aesthetics of the keyboard (and my G14), and is something I have been using extensively while typing for long periods. Overall everything is packaged well and the quality is more than I expected. In a sense, it tells that the product is not a cheap one to boot. Now the actual keyboard: it has been a pleasure to use from day one. The ROG Snow NX v2 switches are linear, and have the right balance of stability, tactile feel, and clickiness. It's noticeable without being noisy, which I value a lot. The build quality is high, with any issues with fit and finish. The OLED screen and the multipurpose switch added a nice touch of controls into the mix, without relying solely on the Asus Armory Crate desktop app. The layout is well placed, but I had trouble initially in using the page navigation keys. I still feel awkward to use Home and End (which I use a lot), since I need to use the Fn-key combo, and unfortunately the Fn-key is only available on the right side of the keyboard. Thankfully I use a separate Numpad while working which makes it up a bit. Apart from the standard keys available in the 75% form factor, there's a “Copilot” key to invoke Microsoft Copilot app. Good thing is this can be modified with Armory Crate. The OLED screen and the associated three-way knob is what makes the Azoth X unique. The simple knob not only can toggle up and down, but also can be pressed, and there's a side button as well to provide even further actions. Volume and media control is there when I'm listening to music or watching a video. Furthermore the OLED screen brightness, and the key illumination effect can be adjusted easily. As for the key caps, these are translucent on three sides making them very legible in dark environments, and like most products out there are dye-sublimited. The “stellar” themed design stands out without being obnoxious. The PCB is southfacing, thus illumination, as I mentioned earlier, is usable. The top case is aluminum, but has a matt texture which makes it even more exquisite. Connectivity is versatile, with both wired and 2 wireless modes - one is the traditional Bluetooth, while the 2.4GHz uses low-latency connectivity Asus terms as “Speednova”, which uses the included USB dongle. This dongle supports other ROG wireless accessories as well. I have been using it for regular gaming as well as my day to day work sessions, and I must admit I’m pretty much impressed. I personally like linear keys and the Snow switches feel just right for me. They feel good and consistent, and are very smooth. They don’t provide a lot of tactile feedback, and is not very audible - Asus used a lot of dampening material to tune that. This may disappoint some users who choose mechanical keyboards just for that. I felt the larger keys are well stabilized, but the spacebar could have been better - it felt just a bit different in feel compared to the regular keys. But after typing for a week or so, I got adjusted to it. As for gaming, I occasionally play fast FPS games, so the low latency and key-rollover issues are less noticeable, but I can attest that it’s miles better than the laptop keyboard of the G14, and felt less demanding than some of my other mechanical keyboards. And since the keycaps and the switches are replaceable, I can tune it to perfection as needed. Overall, the Azoth X is a great keyboard, and is very usable for newcomers. For the experience it provides a lot of customizability. Design, make, functionality are all there. My only gripe is the price. It’s expensive, and today we are in the golden age of mechanical keyboards - this make is tough choice where decent starter set can be get at a very good price, and then can be customized to world’s end.

    Best for Gaming

As an old-timer gamer, I must admit that I don’t have as much time for that as I used to. The main reason I still do it is because two of my sons and a daughter love playing with me, and I would do anything to keep enjoying that time together with them doing something that all four of us still enjoy when we have time. But because I don’t play as much, it doesn’t mean that I don’t try to have the best gaming gear. Quite the opposite. The ASUS ROG Azoth X gaming keyboard that has caught my attention. I’ll break down its drawbacks and advantages from two viewpoints: as a gamer and as someone who uses it for work and daily productivity. First, it screams premium build quality with its solid aluminum top plate, gasket mount structure, and high-quality keycaps. I appreciate the durable feel. If you like customization, you’ll love the hot-swappable sockets/keys, the RGB lighting, and the OLED display which provides a lot of custom animations in addition to providing a lot of information and control. Everything is high quality. Second, the low latency in wireless mode is very welcome. Wireless keyboards are usually an issue for action games, but this one performed almost as good as a wired one. The only concerns I have is potential interference with other devices in the house. I haven’t experienced that with this keyboard yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it became an issue like all other wireless keyboards I’ve used. However, I would not recommend to go wireless if you play ultra-competitive games. Being compact offers some advantages such as saving space on your desk, but it also makes it very portable. It is also very useful as it allows easy switching between my desktop and my laptop. As you can see, I am very happy with it as a gaming keyboard. However, I found it a bit unfit for productivity. I tried to use it as such, but I have decided not to use it for anything other than gaming. I have another ASUS keyboard with RGB lighting that is a lot more suitable for productivity than this one. Now, I’ll briefly describe the cons. First, the price point which will turn off anybody who’s not a hardcore gamer. Don’t get me wrong. The quality and features are worth it, and I can say that you get what you pay for. Still, if you are on a budget or if you are an occasional gamer, I would suggest going elsewhere. Another con is the size. While perfect for gaming, its smaller footprint doesn’t allow for dedicated function row and numpad. For users who rely on these keys for spreadsheets, number entry, or macro-heavy tasks, this can slow down workflow. Interestingly, it is a heavy keyboard due to its solid build quality. It was much heavier than I expected. The software is a bot complex for non-tech-savvy users. It provides a lot of customization, but it requires a learning curve. Be aware that battery goes fast when you have RGB on. My solution for that was to leave it connected when I’m not playing. Finally, the ASUS ROG Azoth X has a lot of features that appeal mostly to gamers. While its compact layout, price, and battery life with RGB may present drawbacks, its build quality, wireless flexibility, and customizable features make it a standout choice. If you like premium materials, customization, sleek design, and can live with the size limitations, this keyboard is an excellent investment. Just don’t count on using it for productivity.

I love it, Love it, did I say Love it? For a peripheral as subjective as keyboards go. Asus did an amazing job with this. I am not an Asus Rog ally or fanboy but I can appreciate a good product on the market. Asus did not cheap out on a single component. I was not expecting to be able to do bicep curls with this keyboard but yeah. It is heavy. Made of very solid materials. The mechanical switch on my model are the refined linear. I think this mechanical switch is a great middle ground for the majority of consumers. If you are one of the outliers you can still swap out the mechanical switches to ones you prefer. I enjoy the RGB software ASUS provides. It does the job well. I am not one to measure how demanding of an application on your system it is. I love that this has built in Bluetooth features. I can go from using it at my desk to on my living room TV as a portable keyboard. I love the screen in the upper left corner. I was not expecting it during my unboxing and it made me smile. The product box as well is an experience. I don't think I have ever opened a keyboard box and for a moment thought I was getting my hands on a new cellphone. kudos to the shipping team that designed the package and took into account the consumer first impressions. Buy one.

    Perfect Keyboard

I love mechanical keyboards. The satisfying keystrokes and the feel of each key is the most perfect gaming and typing experience and this keyboard is second to none in this category. It has the perfect typing experience and so many features that set it apart from any other keyboard in the market. The build of the keyboard is top notch. It is sturdy and rigid, with kick stands to adjust the angle how ever you need. The metal frame feels perfectly built and each key cap has a very premium feel. The look is also awesome. It has a very aggressive feel on the desk and definitely stands out. Each key cap is easily removable with the included tool and can be cleaned as needed. There is even an extra ctrl key cap if you want to remove the dedicated copilot key. The typing and gaming experience is near perfection. Each keypress is registered perfectly. In the entire timing of using the keyboard I don't think I'e noticed any ghosting at all. The rgb on this keyboard is wild. There are so many different options to choose that really let you personalize the keyboard and take things a step up from the normal solid rgb. Overall this might be the best keyboard I've ever used in any scenario. Whether gaming or just typing, you won't be disappointed.

Okay, so this is definitely more keyboard than I’ll ever need—but oh my god, do I love it. First off, the feel and look are super premium. Everything is sleek and responsive. I love that I can connect it wirelessly (Bluetooth/2.4 GHz!) or use the included cable if I want to. The keys are thocky as heck, especially the space bar—so satisfying and totally worth it for me. I’m not a fan of clacky keys in any situation, so I’m glad that’s not the case with the Azoth X. I’ve never been into building my own keyboard, so having one that’s perfect right out of the box is the icing on the cake. The included wrist rest is nice to have, but I'ma be honest, I don't use it often. The OLED display on the top right isn’t super useful for me, but I appreciate having the option—it makes adjusting lighting effects easy, so no complaints there. Speaking of lighting, I really enjoy how they designed the keycaps. The RGB shines through beautifully. I’m a sucker for good aesthetics, haha. The Armoury Crate software is also easy to navigate and helps you get the most out of the keyboard. If you already have an ASUS ROG system, it’ll pair beautifully. And if you don’t, it still fits seamlessly with any setup. All in all, it’s a fantastic keyboard—great for both gaming and productivity!

The Asus ROG Azoth X 75% wireless keyboard is a great mechanical gaming keyboard that is fully customizable with off-the-shelf parts. This is a rarity, with most keyboards coming from big name manufacturers as they seem to prefer proprietary keycaps and switches. The keys feel and sound really good, with a nice sound profile that is just the right amount of "clicky" without being overly annoying. While this would be too loud for most office environments, for a home gaming setup it is a good sound that also provides a good feeling feedback. I feel like the keycaps activate pretty early which takes some getting used to with only slight pressure on the keys sending input to your system. This is not bad by any means, it just takes some adjustment compared to most other keyboards which don't activate until pressed all the way down. I appreciate the LCD display as it provides a quick and easy way to see system information and interact with your system. It is easy to change between screens and adjusting controls using the button and the scroll that go with the screen. Personally, I feel that the silicon wrist rest is a bit to stiff to provide any real benefit, I prefer a softer feeling wrist rest, but this is just a personal preference and others may appreciate the more stiff support. This is a great mechanical keyboard and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new gaming keyboard.

Wow… no… really. I mean, I tried to find something I didn’t like… couldn’t do it. I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Azoth, and I’ll say right up front: this is the kind of precision, comfort, and flexibility that I’ve been waiting for. It feels custom, like something built for me. The 75% layout strikes a great balance — compact enough to free up desk real estate, yet complete enough that I don’t miss critical keys. The build quality feels rock solid, with a pleasantly rigid frame and just a touch of heft so it doesn’t slide around mid-match. But what really elevates this keyboard is the feel. The ROG NX Snow switches are snappy without being harsh. And because they’re hot-swappable, I’ve already experimented with swapping in different switches depending on the day (gaming vs typing vs creative work). The modular flexibility is a dream for someone like me who’s picky about switch feel. The wireless performance? Near perfect. I’ve used it both wired and wireless in different setups, and I can’t detect any lag. The Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz modes remain rock solid, even when my desk is crawling with other wireless devices. Every keypress feels intentional. The travel, actuation, and feedback all work in harmony. Changing layers, macros, and profiles via the onboard controls is intuitive and quick. I haven’t had a missed input or a moment when I felt the keyboard was holding me back.

The ASUS ROG Azoth X 75% Wireless Mechanical RGB Gaming Keyboard with Hot-Swappable ROG NX Snow Switches is a surprisingly impressive addition to the compact keyboard market. The build quality is exceptional — solid, sturdy, and clearly made to last — though customization options are somewhat limited. The ROG Azoth supports both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity via the included dongle, along with a wired option. I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly it connected to my Xbox through the dongle and to my laptop over Bluetooth. Toggling between devices is effortless, with smooth switching between Bluetooth, wired, and wireless modes. The keyboard has a noticeable weight to it, which makes sense given its premium price and build. The ROG NX Snow switches are impressively quiet yet still feel crisp and responsive, offering a great typing experience. My only real complaints are the uninspired artwork and the lack of a carrying case. For a product in this price range, a premium travel case would have been a nice touch. Still, it’s an outstanding keyboard overall.
