I am honestly a bit confused about this laptop...in a great way! I really don’t understand how it is not the most popular laptop model in the world? At least with a 4070gpu... I understand if users would want a higher 40 series but if you are aiming for around a 4070 with performance and price then this is the best laptop I hands down. I am an IT admin at a major architecture firm and we use "gaming/creator" laptops because of the software we run. We use MSI & MAC laptops there (with mostly 3080/3080ti/4070/4090 and M2 pro combos). The flow x16 KOs the MSI models we use in the 1st round. This is the best laptop I have ever seen when you combine the performance, screen, ports, and form factor together. I had the previous 2022 X16 version with a ryzen 9/ 3070ti and the 512 dimming LED screen. I traded that for a Razer and let’s just say that was a mistake. I missed the 2022 version so much that I was so happy when this one dropped and THIS NEW VERSION IS EVEN BETTER! Just for basic info I have upgraded my version to 64gb RAM and switched the SSD that came with the laptop out for a 2tb SK Hynix Platinum for my mine drive and a 4tb WD BLACK SN850x. -THE GOOD- *The performance you get from the i9/4070 combo is fantastic. The attached screen shots speak for themselves. The crazy USER BENCHMARK is awesome where the whole laptop rates as a UFO!!!! Hilariously awesome!!! It powers through any software (revit, skecthup, rhino, vray, enscape, lumion) thrown at it with ease and can play any AAA game on ultra/highest settings at 2560x1600 like butter. I stick mostly to shooter games like COD, Halo, Doom, hitman, Battlefield, and sniper ghost warrior. It easily plays the titles and for the most part I never get less than 110-120 fps with some getting into the easy 200's. The one outlier is Red Deas Redemption and I get 95-105 fps on that. I would also like to note the benchmarks are done in performance and not even in turbo or manual mode (i do use the MUX so the iGPU is disabled and everything goes off the 4070). The thermals are surprising to me as well! It does not get real hot or loud at all. With that being said… I do play with mine on a very nice cooling pad. I think most gamers do that as well to help the health and life of the laptop. *The speakers could be better but are still extremally good in their own right. I have a surface laptop studio as my work laptop and the speakers on that are actually louder than the x16's. And the MAC (which personally i hate) do have better speakers. But they are still very good and quite nice! *The keyboard and trackpad are an easy A. NUFF SAID!. This is not a huge thing for me as I am a controller gamer but the keyboard never gets hot even after several hours of gaming. The keys have nice travel and click and the trackpad is very smooth and responsive! *The ports are great. Not the best but great overall. You dont have a 2.5g ethernet like most gaming laptops these days but I am fine with it. Those other laptops also dont have an XG mobile connector so this laptop is future proofed for a few years at least especially with this screen (more on that later). The Micro SD slot is a welcome plus and get about 100mb read/write on average. I hear some gamers/creators complain it is not a full SD but it is just a straight bonus port for me. *The build quality is fantastic as well. Very sturdy with some nice accent placements on it. I like that the power port is close to the back left and does not get in the way of any ports. Had a G14 and M16 at one point as well and the power placement drove me crazy. *IMO the star of the show is the screen! I can’t even describe how beautiful it is other then I wish this screen was on every laptop I ever touch. It is the most beautiful screen I have ever had. So good that I no longer game connected to a monitor. I use the laptop screen now for gaming and it is tippy top notch good. I (and my co-workers) think it is even better then the MAC screens and the Surface pixelsense screens at work. It crushes any MSI screen like nothing. I can not say enough good things about it and with the XG mobile I know for sure that I would still love this laptop with the screen and using a 50 series GPU on it in a few years. I use a Surface pen to draw with while using the laptop in TENT mode and STAND mode and it is very smooth and wonderful to use. The screen should never have screen bled do it being MINI LED and this one does not get the halo type affects that some mini LED do. *I am not one to usually “test” the battery. I don’t understand when gamers complain about how their laptop batteries die very fast when trying to game and not use power…. DUH. I usually am always hooked up to power so don’t know how long it will last. I watch TV on it at night to fall asleep and it seems to be decent to me. I will put HULU on and fall asleep with the laptop on battery. The laptop is set to GO TO SLEEP after 3 hours so it runs my show for 3 hours and goes to sleep and when I get up and move it always has more then 60% battery still left. THE BAD *The only real thing that bothers me is that it is a fingerprint magnet. I am very careful about my personal laptops, so I must clean it a lot! It is pretty easy to clean with some screen wipes and a microfiber cloth, but you will need to do a bit and no one seems to make skins for this model of laptop. Oh well. *The other thing I was not expecting was when opening the laptop, it does not have the normal ASUS screw in the corner that does not come out and lifts the bottom part of the chassis up for you a bit so you can use a pick to pop it off. That was a bit weird and getting into the inside was harder then normal. Most gamers who have an ASUS laptop know what I mean. So, when opening this laptop make sure to go from one of the back corners or it will be easy to scratch the chassis. *The screen is glossy and not matte so there can be glare if you have light behind you. Does not matter to me but thought I would mention it. It is never an issue in my home. THE UGLY * I don’t actually have an ugly to add but to some the ugly would be the price. Yes, it is little high but way better than the M16 right now and beats RAZER in every category including price! I caught mine with a best buy discount and then got the 4tb WD BLACK SSD free because of the best buy points so I am fine with it! So if you are worried about spending that much I totally get it but once you pull the trigger you will be very happy. Also, REMEMBER THE XG MOBILE PORT!!! Future proofed for a few years at least so that made the price easier as well. To finish up like I said I really don’t know how this laptop is not so much more popular, but I am OK with having this hidden gem of a laptop for me! If you are thinking about buying, I really feel like any gamer or creator would love it! I know I do! IF bestbuy lets me put this link in check some more out on this laptop. If they don't then boo.

High performance laptop with an incredible display. I’ve been using this laptop for a month and it’s had its ups and downs. The screen is 10/10. The system is a 2/10. The asus software stopped working and I needed to download an update in order for the keyboard to work properly again. Once or twice a day the screen just randomly goes black for 5 seconds when I am in the middle of gaming and it’s super annoying. The fans are super loud but that is common among gaming laptops. Touch screen 10/10 and versatility 10/10. I wish software was better and screen didn’t flash black randomly.

This is a great laptop. Easy to initially setup and get going. Screen has amazing color and sharpness. It is as fast or faster than my gaming Desktop. Coming from a Windows 10 user to Windows 11 has had it's challenges but that's me not the laptop. It charges faster than I expected, about 1 hour when fully drained. Keyboard is responsive and has nice tactile feel to it and is large enough to comfortably fit my hands. While it is an expensive laptop, I feel it is a good value given it's performance and sturdy construction

The laptop delivers on everything that it promised. Absolutely gorgeous screen. Very bright, super smooth, and amazing contrast when the mini-led mode is turned on. Also great performance. Love gaming on this. The build quality is also really good: solid design, good tactile keyboard, speakers, etc. Things to Mention: The price-to-performance ratio (when writing this) is definitely not great. If you want the highest number of frames, you can get better for the same price. However, there is literally no other laptop that gets the same performance while being able to be flipped in half... My device makes a slight whine when sleeping which could be irritating to some. Haven't seen other mentions of this, so it could just be mine. The battery life lasts 5-6 hours which is decent but not amazing. I added a 2nd SSD which led to some stuttering issues. After going down a deep rabbit-hole this was resolved by turning off VMD in the bios.

I really like this laptop. The flip feature is great for college, work, or artists, and I like using vertical mode to play games with a controller because the vents underneath the keyboard point upward and have better thermals. The graphics card is amazing and I would have never imagined being able to play games with such graphics on a laptop a few years ago, which is great because I don’t have room for a desktop. The battery life isn’t great, but to be honest I feel that is to be expected for a powerful machine. The mini led display is beautiful and crisp. I’ve noticed the system can have some complications or annoyances especially with switching between integrated and discrete graphics which I know how to mess with or fix, but the laptop might not be great for someone that is not very computer savvy as they might think it is a faulty product if weird things keep happening. So far I have not had any significant issues and it is overall a pretty good product for experienced computer users.

Over all its a nice laptop. Not great. but nice. 1. I would have liked it to have a larger screen size. 2. IT RUNS HOT!! you realy do need to keep a cooling pad under it. 3. The lcd is flimsy, I feel like I will break it if not SUPER carefull. 4 the fans do run loud. I do not care about the sound of the fans but some people might. Again over all. This is a nice laptop, and runs all of the games I have on it nice and smooth. Games played on this is. Sons of the Forest, Conan Exiles, Ark, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 , Price is a little high but for the latest gen i9. this is a impressive little and I mean Little laptop.

Battery discharges quickly even with eco mode and battery saver on. Owned it for only two weeks and the battery capacity has already dropped from 90k mwh to 83k mwh. Touchpad is uneven and has a ticking noise when pressed, which i assume is because its not tightened properly and is also sitting lower on the left side. Some keyboard keys are also sitting uneven allowing backlight to leak unevenly which is just annoying to look at. the mini led display has weird black spots and shadows scattered across the display which is best noticeable on darker backgrounds. At this this price point i expect 0 quality control issues and will definitely be returning.

I had this laptop and its the one of the best laptops for gaming and creating. And I was going to keep it but my reason for returning it was far from any downsides to the latpop. It was my personal needs ironically, because in general the laptop for my work , would have actually been this one , if another brand had not just released its creator laptop . I should say this laptop is a perfect creator gaming laptop and beats and outperforms in other areas other gaming laptops and statistically is as good if not better than those for that category. This laptop is rare gem and has amazing features that would have other gamers or creators eyeing it from afar. And these enthisiast know who they are if they see this are going to have their attention caught by its specs . It has some great features. The screen diaplay is the big factor with the mini led display this things got things going for it. The mini led is got a lot of local dimming zones 1024 to be exact and these features enhance it to allow a more darker deeper blacks to create a more vivid imagery at times with to create a whole enhanced aestathetic to the image at time to enjoy more detail. Its impressive and doesnt do it justice until you see it. But thats coupled with a high refresh rate of 240 hz allows this to be a great competitor to oled almost and macs of course imo. It has 4070 that takes any game . I tried alot of them so i mean any game. I tried halo forza gears of war and some others. Its a gamimg pc for sure. Its good speaking of which performing in certain categories this will do well in davinci and other programs of similar caliber and shine in fact this one is best in numbers for davinci. So its a wim in performance. So these are all great pros and no cons aside from minial stuff. Bit Sadly i got this one and it crashed several times and exchanged it for another one which had blooming effects .which was not so great especially after time but luckily best buy lets you have options so i exchanged that one for another one but tbia time a different laptop altogether . Not becasue of those little problems mind you but i feel maybe in a lucky way during tht time it gave me time to consider the but it was hard to do so considering it was a beast and played any game with one of the best displays ive seen its a genius laptop design and one of the more favorable laptops for studio work. but and i would like to admit i wouldnt have exchanged for a different type with the mini led in mind for the asus but the asus had one minor thing which was the application for digitized work that was good but albeit a bit weaker than another brand called microsoft studio 2's laptop and that was hard trade off to consider. but lucikly i have a mac book with mini led so i wasnt going to completly miss out. so i have the mini led still by keeping the mac and i made then the exchange to the studio 2 surface and had tht great feature still. I will say this and tell those who might be missing out that if i had no mac meaning no mini led already, i wouldnt get studio 2 and mac and keep the asus. but i did get both i have them both . But i could have had them in one but i have both which is great for those who can but the asus gives you that for half the cost.

If you're looking for a laptop that can do almost anything that a laptop is capable of, look no further. It does just about everything well, from basic computing tasks, to hardcore gaming. Features that I love: *The screen. The Mini-LED display is simply one of the best screens I've ever seen on a laptop, and IMO it even beats out some OLED TV's that are out there in terms on color fidelity and brightness. While it's not 4K, the 2560 x 1600 resolution display is crystal clear on a 16" screen. Plus, 240hz is an incredible experience when you can run games at that framerate. *The sound system. The audio on this laptop sounds superb. Whether you're listening to music, watching TV shows/ movies, or playing games, the audio sounds clear and great. However, you may have to change the settings in the Dolby Access app because, at least for me, it was set to "Music" by default and it was way too silent. The "Movie" sound setting is excellent, though. *The 2-in-1 capability. Originally, this was not a feature I thought I was going to use a lot, until I saw how much easier tablet mode made reading things like articles and comics. However, it is uncomfortable holding the laptop while in tablet mode because of the weight and heat being ejected from the cooling vents, so I use a reclinable laptop fan/ table for this mode. *Gaming performance. I've played multiple games on on this laptop so far, but I'll be posting the results of Halo 3 and Forza Horizon 5. Halo 3 is pretty much a retro game at this point, and it should run well on just about every modern gaming PC or laptop. However, I chose and old game like Halo 3 as a way to benchmark framerates, and it easily hit 240FPS on max settings and resolution with plenty of CPU + GPU resources left to spare. It wasn't perfectly smooth, though, as sometimes it drop to as low as 210FPS in some scenarios. Now for a current generation game in Forza Horizon 5. I had the graphics settings customized to be somewhere in the middle of Ultra and Extreme at native 2560 x 1600 resolution with Ray Tracing on, and I was able to get a smooth 60FPS with it rarely ever dropping. You can't completely max out the settings without dropping the resolution because you will max out the GPU and cause highly unstable framerates. That said, even with it not being completely maxed out, Forza Horizon 5 paired with this laptop's gorgeous display made it into what's probably the most beautiful game I've played. *Cooling. This might be an issue with some gaming laptops, but this isn't an issue with this one. Gaming laptops are known to run hotter than desktops, with CPU temps reaching 200+°F/ 93+°C in some other models but this laptop runs noticeably cooler than that. I've played games in hot rooms where the temperature is close to 80°F/ 27°C, and the CPU temps usually plateaued around 185°F/ 85°C. In normal 72°F/ 22°C rooms, I rarely ever see CPU temps go above 175°F/ 79°C. Performing normal computing tasks has the CPU at around 115°F/ 46°C. These readings were done with the PC in "Turbo" mode. However, if you max out the fans in "Manual" mode, CPU temps can drop below 100°F/ 38°C during normal computing. Now for the issues, which are mostly nitpicks: *For some reason, the FN keys are locked to F1-F12 with no way to toggle the FN lock. So, if you want use your keyboard to mute the volume, increase the brightness, or change the performance modes without opening the Armoury Crate app, you have to hold down the FN key to do so. *Most of the case is made of metal, such as the screen and keyboard level casing, but the bottom casing feels like it's made of plastic. It's at least a rigid plastic that won't flex easily, but it's a noticeably softer material than the metal. A laptop that's being sold at this price having plastic anywhere on the casing is disappointing. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this laptop and I would absolutely recommend buying this.

This laptop is amazing. Ive had it for over a month and its been working well, just windows 11 basic issues. This thing feels really nice and sturdy. It plays top games with beautiful graphics and speed at highest settings. The touch screen works great and using a surface pen has been working well. The trackpad feels and works great, though, a haptic trackpad would be better. The details of this laptop's design/build are exquisite. Perfect edges, corners, thickness, ports, 360 folding, all details are so nice it makes me proud to use. When maxing out the graphics on a game the fans are reasonably quiet. You can switch several functions quickly to make the battery last a lot longer when doing simple things, and back again to max performance when pluged in and gaming or rendering. The switching between multi zone and single zone miniLED on the screen is genius. Its upgradable in several ways too! This is the best laptop out there in terms of flexibility and power. Only bad mark is that the tiny rubber feet that keep the keyboard off the table when flipped into tablet mode. One of mine broke/fell off within a week of light use, leaving the thing slightly wobbly when in tablet mode on a table. 10 out of 10 would reccomend.

Solid performing laptop. The ability to convert from laptop to tent to tablet modes offers quite a bit of flexibility. Speakers are good, but not great. Does not have enough volume to compete with a macbook air or depth to compete with a macbook pro. Pair this one with a bluetooth speaker or your favorite pair of headphones. The glossy mini led display is extremely bright and is sufficient to perform in any bright environment. Battery life is the only disappointment. Do not play games on battery alone (lucky to get more than an hour). Work, web browsing, or video related tasks on power saving settings will get you 3 to 4 hours on a full charge. Gaming performance is good when plugged in and medium settings are used. 60 fps is pretty easy to manage for most titles. This is a flexible windows laptop for work, play, and travel. Keep the charging brick close by.

Ladies and Gentlemen, This machine is exceptionally well-executed—kudos, ASUS. The mini LED screen radiates a pleasantly intense brightness, and it's one of the rare machines boasting both this screen type and touch functionality. Having a touchscreen should be a standard feature on any laptop (are you listening, Apple?). If you prefer a non-touch experience, it's as simple as not using it. The Intel i9-13700H CPU delivers exceptional speed, acknowledging the ever-evolving nature of technology. The 32GB RAM proves to be more than sufficient for my gaming, web surfing, and even various virtual machines. While the construction is overall commendable, the interior around the keyboard feels somewhat plasticky. The aluminum exterior, though not quite premium, exudes a satisfyingly nice feel. The keyboard, with its slightly clacky yet smooth keys, is pleasing. Does it surpass my late Alienware 13 R3, which served me well for six years? Not quite, but perhaps it's a matter of getting used to it. The real test for Asus and this laptop lies in its longevity—will it endure six years of constant use? Only time will tell. So far, a resounding thumbs up for this product

Powerful yet, extremely slim for the amount of performance it’s capable of. The screen looks great and the front camera is good enough for video calls and streams. The battery can last up to 10hours+ from what seen. When switching from landscape to portrait the screen gets kinda glitchy for split second. When connecting the laptop to a tv via HDMI the screen has to be flipped on the laptop for some tv brands.

Let me help you! This computer in the first 2 weeks gave me a glitch which has me a bit concerned. Around the same time i uploaded adobe premier pro. You have to update the compatibility, but im going to make a video and hope it doesnt give me the glitching, or else id need to return it. I love this for the price compared to the market value. Everything else over $3000. With this the touch screen and folding give it an extra advantage! For me, a photographer and videographer, so far I'm loving it! The screen is a 9/10, just wished it was 4K or Oled. Its still a better screen than your stardard. It'll be switched to a 5 star if it doesnt glitch again.
