As most everyone has commented, the cooling out of the box is horrible. The CPU was at 100C+ under 0 stress, just sitting on the desktop with no apps open.
Bought a $150 Kraken x53, and it now idles at 30 - 40C, at 70C when playing games. Also added one intake fan to the top (couldn't fit a 2nd, and had to ziptie one corner of the fan).
If you don't mind installing a cooler, I'd say it's worth it.

After a little more than a month, I can say it is a solid PC, nothing loose or terrible about it. As feedback to the Manufacturer i would suggest adding a sort of filler to prevent the graphics card from moving during shipping as a precaution.
For consumers such as me, i opted for not going for the AIO cooler and I HIGHLY recommend getting the Noctua NH-9S (either the black one or the original brown) for great Aircooling. I went from 100C to 60-80C depending on games such as apex, minecraft, and cod. Super quiet! If you use the program asus includes( or bios), you can slightly move the rear fan RPM to be quieter using the slider and let the quiet noctua do its job.

Great Components Bad case

Great Components Bad case. Airflow is horrible. CPU gets in the 80s F with stock cpu fan I installed AIO barely as there is no room in the case, lots of modifications. I'm now looking for a case to transfer everything to. I asked how many USB 3 in this and was told 6 however they are USB 2. There aren't enough USB ports in this only 2 Type A and 2 Type C. If you're a computer builder you will be disappointed with this case design/ airflow. CPU and GPU are great otherwise runs anything I throw at them.

Great computer with great parts! All Asus brand also has a b560-G mobo and the 3070 and the intel i7 are great! Of course you have to upgrade the cooling but who doesn’t do that anyway, slap a good Cooler on and ur all set not one problem at all so far, all games can run on just about High-ultra settings and get 144fps, it stays so cool that my fan in the back doesn’t even kick on to cool it down

My first PC. Couldn’t build so I bought. Saw specs and figured this would be good for me for a while. I read other reviews and saw cooling so I ordered an AIO and an additional exhaust fan same day. I bought the MSI 240R and it’s a perfect fit after some cable management. Seriously, this rad is a perfect fit. Cool temps and works great. Read some reviews saying only 2 screws for mounting, but I managed to get 4 screws holding radiator and set fans for “intake”. Highly recommend the MSI 240R. Would give 5 stars if I wouldn’t have HAD to upgrade cooling.

Remove cpu stock cooler. Add 240mm aio in the front(with only two bolts on) and 120mm fan to the top. Its my first time upgrading pc desktop. Not so hard at all. Be confident in urselves. After upgrading, the cpu temp could stay below 65C under stress test. Overall its a great deal. Only need to spend 150 bucks more to upgrade.

Dear Hashim, I definitely understand your concerns with this. However, it's normal for the device temps to increase once it is an intensive application that is open, the components wont be in an idle state. This is completely normal. If you have any other concerns you can email us at [email protected] and we will explore every possible avenue to address the issue the best way we can. Like everyone says it does need better cooling for cpu and better airflow but otherwise the components are great and it runs very smooth although if ur looking to get a big air cooler u might need a bigger case i installed a coolermaster cooler and it was too big too put the front panel on but no front panel means better airflow so not too bothered by it

Alright, so if you’re reading these reviews you have then read all of the good and the bad reviews all of which pertaining to the cooling. I won’t beat a dead horse too much, the cooling was terrible and I couldn’t even get it to update without overheating. However, I knew that going into it and thought I’d try it out with the stock fans anyways. No surprise there. While waiting for this order, I planned ahead and ordered a new aio and some fans. That worked wonders and the price was worth it IMO. Because why not get an entire computer for a few hundred dollars more than the graphics card alone in the secondary market? My only other gripe is that there is no room to install more ssds… oh well! Good price, good parts within the box, bad, cooling, update that and possibly even the case and you’ll be golden!

A prebuilt is something you buy, plug, and play. Unfortunately, I couldn’t add a cooler master 212 in the case which led me to buy a new case ( Corsair 220t). Now this thing is tuning cooler than ever and it’s a monster. Since I upgraded the case I’m able to upgrade more than ever. Asus case especially this *** of a case sucks more than anything. Built terrible with its dimensions and couldn’t add a 120mm chassis rear fan. The design of the case was a hotel for dust after just 1-2 days. It is what it is but if you do buy this know a thing or two about computers before you start buying this thing cause this thing will eventually need a case swap with better cooling. After this is done swap a few bios settings as you can see with my ram lol and you’re done with this review :).

I can not recommend this PC at this price when it won't function with out a cooler what is the point of a warranty if they send you parts that won't even work correctly. If Asus will fix/replace or just send a new cooler with it it would be worth it the point of a pre build it to be prebuilt not to Finnish someone's shotty workmanship.

Wow. You get 1 stars because a good GPU and a nice looking internal build but I think they forgot to put thermal paste on my CPU. With the case open, if my CPU hits over 20, yes 20% load my CPU spikes up to 100deg C and throttles. This is with the side of the case off for better cooling. For a nearly $2,000 desktop this is disgusting and unacceptable. I now have to spend $75 to $150 more to put an AIO or some other form of cooling on this desktop just to make it usable. Asus is lucky there is a GPU shortage or this would be returned in an instant. I do know I will never buy another ASUS desktop again.
Throttling is VERY evident in games and the fan sounds like a jet engine. I would highly recommend you do not buy this PC and go for something else.

5 stars after adding crosshair elite cooler for about 160$. You do have to remove metal cover inside to make room for radiator. But after hours of playing several modern games at ultra high settings cpu max temp around 62c.
I looked at several other reviewers pics to see how they mounted the unit to get an idea
No other fans added just cooler runs great.
But like others stated stay far away if you can’t follow some simple YouTube videos and install cooler. Also a few stated a bios change alone fixed the problem, I feel much better with a good cooler.
