The ROG G16CH Gaming Desktop was super fun to use with every single modern AAA gaming that I threw at this. @1080p This PC ran perfectly giving framerates that were extremely pleasant. Not only it runs great, but it also looks very good in its design. The case design finally allows for airflow in the front. (You can also add extra fans / 360mm AIO if you desire.) The airflow was adequate and the machine kept cool when gaming. There is a handle on the back of the case that you can lift up so the desktop is very easy to move around when need to be. As a PC gaming enthusiast; I was extremely happy using this as a gaming rig and this pre-built does come with room to upgrade more in the future. From adding your own GPU, Ram, fans, and more. You can at least see the ROG Strix logo on the front. It’s not much here to complain about. Opening the PC it was easy with the glass side panel and taking a look inside. Design: The case looks nice enough and gives the gamer aesthetic with RGB strips in the front. It’s a black and bold tower and looks good when the lights are off as well. When powering on the large RGB strips, turn white and goes into the user colors. It does look awesome when it turns on but has an annoying sound when going into the boot screen. This thankfully can be turned off in “Armory Crate” software. There are: x1 HDMI ports. x3 DisplayPort. x6 USB x2 USB 2.0 Type A x4 USB 3.2 Type A x1 Ethernet And that is an ample amount of ports for a desktop PC but greatly appreciated in a gaming PC with tons of accessories that use USB. I had no issues going into the BIOS of the desktop. Ram is finally dual channel and I have to give ROG props for doing this as many desktop manufacturers don’t, but it doesn’t include X.M.P. I don’t find this too much of an issue as you can just purchase your own for future upgrades but I do believe next year’s model should include it for gamers. RGB strip is a nice touch and works flawlessly with “armory crate” software. And there is an 80 plus gold 500w power supply that looks to handle everything well. This version of the desktop is air-cooled and the air cooler handles heat well. As I said before there is room to upgrade to AIO. The case itself is an industrial type of design and also has a headphone stand built into the PC. Gaming: Everything ran extremely fine at 1080p, which is probably what I would play this PC at for better frames. That’s not to say it doesn’t handle 1440p well, some games like Forza Horizon 5 I was getting 75 fps in and those types of games are more my variety anyway. Fan noise wasn’t a problem for me when using this machine; it also stayed silent atleast for the model I have. But games like Cyberpunk 2077 were getting 50 fps which in my opinion is playable. Every other modern title ran just fine and I especially enjoyed Resident Evil 4 and Need for Speed: Unbound at smooth frames. Most games I play are not super intensive. I have not tried applications as my use case scenario for this machine is gaming. @1440p which I decided to try anyway on Timespy came out to 8815. None of this soured my experience when gaming, I was having a blast playing High on Life, Street Fighter 6, and Battlebit Remastered. This is a very capable gaming rig for many years to come. Nvidia DLSS helps out the RTX 3060 with games that support them. One thing I would suggest or recommend is that you buy an extra SSD / HDD to go along with the 512GB of storage. Outside of that, the PC is amazing at what it can run and what it can do. Another tip I recommend is that you go into the “armory crate” software and update everything to get the smoothest experience possible and update the Nvidia driver. Once this PC is paired up with a good 144hz monitor you should be having the time of your life with gaming. Asus and Microsoft give you a free month of Xbox Gamepass Ultimate when signing into Windows so that’s another bonus. Windows is Windows 11 and that’s on this PC. Overall; I enjoy my time with this gaming pc, I have a ton of enjoyment gaming on the Asus ROG Strix G16CH. I was able to play all my Steam games successfully. There are tons of room for upgrades, nice airflow, seems to be stable, has a good design, and is great at gaming. I’m definitely impressed being a desktop lover. Satisfied with Asus build quality and handling of shipping. This is a great PC and one I would be proud to own especially if it was my first. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Overall, this is a very solid gaming desktop from Asus. With it, you get a top-of-the-line CPU (I7-12700F), which can handle anything you throw at it, especially gaming wise. For the GPU, you get an RTX 3060, that is a solid mid-level GPU that will be able to handle most AAA games. Do not expect 120+hz on 4K, but for 98% of gamers, this is more than enough. With this desktop you are getting: • Intel Core i7-1200F CPU • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU • 16GB DDR4 • 512GB SSD • Air Cooling • RGB Inside the case I do like the build of the case itself. It is a bit taller than some mid-cases, which isn’t an issue for me (nor should it be for anyone). It isn’t overly heavy, and it does come with a carrying strap preinstalled to make carrying it around easier (this is a HUGE plus, especially for someone who likes to move their rig around). Cooling wise, you do get one 92mm rear fan (set to exhaust) and a 120mm at the top (set to exhaust). The stock CPU cool is an air cooler, and if you wanted, you could replace with a third party if you wanted to bring temps down more (I was seeing around 80 degrees for CPU and 72 for GPU on most games). Overall, the temps aren’t the most, and could be improved with minor adjustments to the fan configuration, and CPU cooler swap. But I am happy with the cooling, and it will be enough for most gamers. You get two M2 NVMe PCIe slots, and one is used by the preinstalled 500GB stick. So, you do have an option to add additional storage if you so choose, which is a nice option to have. There are two USB Type C ports, and a lot of USB-A ports, so you should have zero issues plugging in your peripherals. You do also get a keyboard and mouse, but they are very basic, and I would suggest utilizing your own. Diablo 4 1440p Medium = 80+ FPS Fortnite 1440p Medium = 90+ FPS RDR2 1440 Medium = 40+ FPS The setup was very easy. Once you walk through the windows setup, I would highly suggest installing any firmware/ BIOS / Driver updates via the ASUS app that is preinstalled on the system. This will ensure you have all the latest software for peak performance. I have been very pleased with this gaming desktop from ASUS. You get bang for your buck on a system that can play most if not all AAA games at a level that makes them very enjoyable.

Good upgrade to asus prebuilt model W/plenty power

I had the asus prebuilt years ago that this model replaces. And I can say that asus has definitely listened to the feedback about air flow. This model has been upgraded with more customizable flexibility and the case looks great. If you love RGB, this has you covered with RGB on the front and on the inside and is easy to control through asus’s app. Case also has nice Handle to carry around if need be. A nice add In imo since I tend to move my gaming room around every 6 months. Case also has a headphone holder on the side. Plenty of usbs and type c(2) on top. Internal wise. There is a decent amount of space if you would like to upgrade the gpu and fans. I’m not sure if you can add fans on the inside front area but you can add another 120mm fan on top(one included) or you can add a 240mm radiator for the power hungry 13700f. I plan on upgrading eventually. The tower cooler that comes with this is adequate I’d say. Not the best but better than the stock Intel coolers by far. The cooler itself looks cool and shiny too. If that matters lol. The 3060 is a smaller single fan design that performs very well even at 1440p at less demanding games or demanding games with dlss running and ray tracing turned off. This prebuilt might have a new CPU and a last gen GPU but considering the 40 series cards perform close to the 30 series, I this asus prebuilt is good for those who want a brand they can trust in and a pc that won’t break on you. Asus leads the industry, personally I try to get asus when I’m upgrading. The Intel 13700f is a beast and runs smoothly plus you will be good for a few years with cpu. You can always upgrade the gpu. But for me I’m very happy with this set up for long gaming sessions on lesser demanding games my son uses for his pc as well and he loves it so much. The price is on par for what it’s worth. Even better when on sale which usually is frequent. Only things I don’t love is the Ram, at least it’s 16gb in dual channel. They didn’t include a heat sink to cover the bland green colored bare PCB. Also the motherboard is good but doesn’t have a lot of extra ports you might need such as fan and argb ports. And the power supply is only 500 watts (I think). Not huge gripes but would be nice to get a little more for the price. But at least asus included extra wires in the box. Also the keyboard and mouse are bare bones generic. Which is fine because you want a mechanical keyboard anyhow. So the price would be higher. That’s fine imo. I would definitely recommend to anyone who asked for my advice as this is my second asus prebuilt in the last 5 years.

I know the numbers people out there are looking for benchmark numbers right off the bat to see how it stacks up against others in your running to know if this should even be considered, so here you go & spoiler it performs higher then expected (forgive formatting on mobile devices): I7 13700F and RTX 3060 is the setup in here: Cinnebench R23- 23,259 multi-core 2001 single core — 3Dmark Time spy- 9224 Total Score ** 8733 GPU ** 13539 CPU — Pugetbench Davinci Resolve test for creators (studio version 18.1.4) - Overall score 1873 — Blender Benchmark 3.2.1 - Monster= 1211.75 - Junkshop= 695.79 - Classroom= 612.65 ————— Numbers said this is actually a very well performing computer when it comes down to it and outperforms other desktops with these same cpu and gpu specs when you check results around the web. Things to note are the fact that Control is extremely intuitive and easy using the Asus Armoury Crate software (this also synced perfectly with my Asus keyboard and mouse I use which are the ROG AZOTH and the ROG HARPE ACE both of which can sync lighting and settings as expected with no headaches. You can update everything and then go in there and set it to Turbo mode and basically forget it (provides a small factory overclock and good fans speeds to keep things cool but not super loudly). Theres nothing else you really have to do unlike a lot of machines it’s super easy to setup. Heck this even comes with a keyboard and mouse that aren’t the worst if you don’t have these on your own already or maybe this is your first computer. The fact you can play games like fortnite on max epic settings at 120fps still on my 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor that takes some grunt to power is proof enough you dont need a big dog gpu with this years 13th gen intel chips to get good performance. This exceeds good enough even on titles like COD warzone which are heavily cpu bound this thing takes it home with really really good performance even with maxed out graphics again above 100fps. Diablo 4 and and world of warcraft run perfectly always at 60+ fps no matter the settings and it can even play Hogwarts legacy above my monitors native VRR lower limit without running into any problems at all which I was really surprised at as some newer 40 series cards aren’t even doing this. Honestly ive seen what the new 40 series cards do for the money and id be hard pressed not to recommend this computer over them just for the value you’re getting. If you question is a pre built good enough, I can assure you that it is. All the components in here are QC tested and done right with all the right hardware I went through and checked everything including the paste job and I saw no flaws on anything. It stays cool under load and performance above its weight class you cant ask for a better product for the money. Highly recommended!

    A Winner of a Pre-Built Gaming Desktop!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a truly amazing mid-level pre-built gaming PC for the price. To qualify this statement, I will elaborate. Asus ROG gaming hardware like motherboards have always been one of my go-to’s when it comes to building my own computers and ROG’s pre-builts are excellent since they are typically well-tuned for gaming. An example of this is that Asus elected in this PC to use dual channel RAM (two 8gb DDR4 3200mhz modules) for a total of 16GB of RAM. It is well known in the gaming community that dual channel has far better performance over the typical single channel RAM that is often seen in pre-builts at this price, that is just one example of attention to detail they have shown in this generation of their pre-built gaming desktops. Another example of the build quality is the absolutely robust, bordering on overkill anti-sag GPU reinforcement bracket that is supporting the 3060 graphics card in this PC. It is super strong and looks akin to something a structural engineer would be proud to have supporting the foundation of a parking structure, let alone supporting a graphics card in a gaming PC. GPU sag has been known to kill PCIe channels over time or during the shipment process and ROG created a factory solution here to ensure that does not occur. This bracket also makes this desktop a little safer to transport if you have to move it around a lot. The bracket is easily removable for future longer length cards if you decide to swap out the graphics card later on. The case itself is a beautiful thing to behold, far better in appearance than last generation and it appears to have better airflow design as well. A detail I really like about this case is the built-in headphones hook on the display side of the case. It made me chuckle with delight when I realized it was there! I love that very gameresque aspect of the PC! The RGB is perfect, in my opinion. It is not overdone, but elegant and tasteful, including the RGB strips that project onto and refract across the clear side panel. It just looks gorgeous and is user adjustable with typical RGB control software. I like the included removable carry handle strap at the rear of the case, and the selection of front I/O is absolutely amazing with two USB-C ports on the front and two USB-A slots along with two dedicated and separate 3.5mm mic and headphone jack ports. I am quite happy that Asus seems to have listened to the gaming communities clamoring for USB-C ports after the last generation of this prebuilt did not have them built in. The rear I/O port selection is excellent too with plenty of additional USB-A ports to meet your gaming setup needs. Granted, I would have liked to have had at least one rear USB-C port as well. As always, just make sure that you plug your monitor cable such as an HDMI or Display Port cable directly into the Graphics cards ports at the very bottom rear of the case. This PC uses an Intel 13700F CPU which, the F connotation indicates it does not have internal graphics. So if you plugged into the higher up ports (as the included confusing instructions would have you do) you would not have an image and think something is wrong with the PC! I have listed some benchmark and FPS stats below, but I just want to mention that this desktop with the Intel Core i7 13700F and Nvidia GeForce 3060 is going to slay some games if you game at 1440p and below! It is worth mentioning that the 3060 GPU lineup can vary a lot in power, with some laptop versions only having a paltry 6gb of VRAM which is downright underwhelming these days for gaming in resolutions greater than 1080p. This Asus ROG 3060 GPU has a full 12GB of VRAM which contributes to its excellence as a card for gaming! I am a 1440p (2K) resolution gamer on an older AOC Aegon 24” 1440p G-sync capable monitor hooked up via a display port cable and I am getting an absolute kick out of how great my games look and perform! I am coming from my home-built PC with an Nvidia 2080 super (8GB VRAM) and this prebuilt from AOC is meeting and exceeding the performance of that system in some aspects such as ray tracing capability! If you are a 1080p gamer and looking to keep your entire system more budget, make sure to take advantage of the included decent-enough wired mouse and keyboard with this PC to start and if you just add a high refresh (120hz or above for sure) 1080p monitor, you will likely be playing ALL your games on maxed out settings with this PC! Now, for a few gripes that do not affect the stars I am giving this PC. One gripe that I have, albeit not critical for most strictly PC gamers, is the anemic air cooler for the CPU. It is definitely not doing the job of effectively cooling the CPU when I ran Geekbench 6, with temperatures climbing up to 98¬¬¬oC as the system got heat saturated in my 740F room at that time. This temperature was never reached during my normal workflow with a few dozen chrome tabs in the background while playing Doom Eternal on maxed settings with Ray Tracing and DLSS on at 1440p resolution, with temps staying below 90C on the CPU. Essentially, I think that only the highest-level CPU users are going to push this system hard enough to get it that hot. If that is the case, then you should consider either one of the higher-end ASUS selections in this lineup with an AIO liquid CPU cooler prebuilt into it or just consider adding a better air or AIO cooler yourself down the road. Another small gripe that I have—speaking of fans---is the noise of this PC when the power use ramps up. It has two exhaust fans at the back and top rear of the case, and the CPU air cooler fan. These 3 fans add up to a decent amount of ambient noise when the gaming really ramps up. I am happy to report that they are not high-pitched or whiny sounding compared to the last generation; they are just generally loud when the system ramps up. I game with a headset so this is not the most concerning issue for me currently. Down the road, I am going to outfit this PC with some Corsair MagLev or Noctua fans to quiet things down and maybe just improve airflow altogether too. On that note, this motherboard has distinctly few fan headers, so be prepared to but some fan splitter cables or use Molex cable (the PC includes one) powered fans if so inclined. Have no fear about the GPU temperature though! I never got temps that exceeded 89C on the hotspot of the card, even during 8-hour long gaming sessions in a 76F room! The GPU is cooled by a robust, 100mm or 120mm size fan built onto the card and it is definitely doing the job. One further mention about air flow and cooling in this case is that there is really great ventilation on the front of the case that passes the “flashlight test” with me being able to shine a light and see right through the holes for ventilation for the case! This probably contributes to some passive airflow being pulled in through the front of the case as the exhaust fans at the top-rear and back of the case do their job. One final small gripe I have before I list off some stats from benchmarks I took is the SSD size. Not the speed, but the size. 512GB to me is just painfully low on storage for an advertised gaming PC these days. With modern games being over 120GB at times, this previsions the average non-tech savvy consumer with only enough storage for 3-6 AAA title games like CODMW2 before this SSD is filled up. Personally, I can live with this storage size on the boot drive, because I am going to turn around and add a 2TB 2.5” SSD for game storage very soon with the included SATA data cable that Asus provided with this PC. However, if you are not tech or computer saavy and don’t want to add additional storage later on, you may want to look into get a higher storage prebuilt in this Asus lineup so you are not playing the install/uninstall game with your PC games down the road! Or just consider adding an external hard drive via USB-Cable and look up how to use it as an additional game storage drive. There are great guides on YouTube etc. on how to do that! The Stats: Geekbench 6 (GPU) OpenCL score: 91845 Geekbench 6 (CPU) Single Core score: 2656 Multicore: 12003 Unengine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 with Ultra Quality, Extreme Tessellation at 1440p resolution: 61.6FPS with a score of 1552 CrystalDiskMark 8.0 (Micron_2400_MTFDKBA512QFM M.2 NVMe SSD): Best Read of Three: 4330.75 MB/s Best Write of Three: 1822.9 MB/s Doom Eternal Max Settings Ray Tracing on DLSS on 1440p resolution: 120-160FPS Hunt Showdown Medium-High Settings at 1440p resolution: 90-130FPS Rocket League Max Settings at 1440p FPS uncapped: 290-350FPS Summary: This is an excellent PC to look into if you are looking for a great value in the gaming space for yourself or a loved one. The looks are good enough to make anyone happy, while still retaining the important user customizability features that future-proof this PC and prepare it for hours upon hours of joyful gaming for years to come. The ASUS_ROG gaming desktop equipped with rtx 3060 intel Core i7-13700F and 16b gb of ram is great for gaming if you value a healthy balance of quality and performance in your games when testing. It never got annoyingly loud when playing intensive games such as Red Dead Redemption 2. This gaming desktop gives a stable 60fps when playing at 1080p and max settings which is amazing. When playing it never overheated, the gpu’s temperature stayed at a cool 72 degrees when playing Red Dead at max settings. It also played Marvels Spiderman at max settings with 60 to 100 fps. Of course, there's dips of frames but never did it become unplayable or a rising concern for the desktop. The lowest it got was 45 fps as I experimented its ability. My major concern or problem with this desktop is the space it includes. The 512 gigabytes isn't nearly enough to store games, especially with their growing disk space, so I would recommend getting the 1 terabyte version. Another issue is the setup and directions. The desktop has an antenna to connect with the internet which from what I read, is never mentioned in the setup guide. But when doing the actual setup for the desktop, it is simple to put the pieces together but the guide barely helps with the process. The desktop also comes with a keyboard and mouse which isn’t necessary, but great to have as extra. The desktop is well ventilated with many spaces for air to come in and out of making the desktop easily able to handle higher graphical games without overheating. Now upgradability of the desktop is pretty straightforward, but of course never do anything without guidance. I recommend watching many guides and fully understanding how to take apart a desktop. The performance is really great if you want to play games since the best quality at a stable fps. 1080p is definitely a higher end device for gaming that I would recommend especially for the price. It is a great product for the performance and power of the system. The case of the desktop is extremely great looking with a slick design and the desktop is huge and able to be used for other parts or upgrading parts. The cpu is great for gaming and is definitely great for doing a lot of processes at a time. I can understand that the price is offsetting for many , but it's well worth it for those who want to get into pc gaming. I would definitely recommend if you want to play more modern games or competitive gaming.

I am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this PC. The exterior is catchy to the eye and really wows everyone that has seen it so far. The LED inserts are a great way to make my man cave glow. The slick black case looks classy, and clean. This look is easy on eyes as there are no bulky buttons drawing my attention away from the bright vivid backlight on display. The power lights match the LED’s and the clear display of the core is a beautiful feature. This PC works both aesthetically and functionally. This gaming PC is fast. This processor (i7-13700F) has not given me any issues so far and being paired with the RTX 3060 graphics card assures ease of gaming in terms of performance. This card is still competitive but not lagging too far from top end. I have had no issues running multiple games simultaneously while having countless other applications open either. The refresh rate is very competitive and assures FPS is hitting peak levels. This PC comes with 16 GB of ram which should easily be able to be upgraded if anyone chooses to do so. Storage-wise it is a little low in my opinion with only 512 gigs, not horrible but in terms of gaming, at least 1 TB appears to be the norm. Credential input/outputs are pretty standard too. I have had no issues with having all ports at capacity. Windows 11 comes standard which is a nice touch for an OS as the OS is sometimes an afterthought in gaming PCs. All in all, if you are looking for base upper tier gaming PC, then this is a great option for you. It comes stocked with adequate specs but can easily be upgraded if needed. The storage is a tad low, which can be overlooked in my opinion as it's not a deal breaker. Please note this tower comes with no monitor, just an FYI.

Beautiful Desktop For Entry Level Gaming

Two of the biggest reasons why many people go with a desktop is for the performance and the ability to customize the computer to your liking. The Asus ROG Gaming Desktop, coming in an ROG inspired Asus OEM computer case, is pretty nice. It has a see-through plastic panel on the side to see the interior components, RGB lighting on the front and on the inside front and top parts of the case, and a strap on the top rear part of the case to help in moving it around or carrying it if you need to. For me, aesthetics-wise many of my personal boxes were checked. To top it off, Asus included a wired keyboard and mouse (they come in the standard Asus branding without any of the fancy lights). Asus also includes their Armoury Crate software to manage software updates, view different components like speed and temperature readings, as well as changing the lighting effects of compatible parts like the computer case. As for the performance, I conducted benchmark and gaming tests to check the CPU and GPU temps and speed. The first test I ran was on Cinebench R23. It tested the CPU rendering speed and rated it pretty well (see screenshots). The temperature after running the test for the CPU was around 68 degrees Celcius and the GPU at 33 degrees Celsius. (For reference, the CPU temps at idle were around 50 degrees Celsius or slightly less. The CPU, according to Intel, can handle temps of up to 100 degrees Celsius and the GPU can handle temps of up to 93 degrees Celsius. I recommend keeping the temps much lower than what they are able to handle and include some recommendations below). The second test I ran was while gaming. While gaming on Call of Duty’s Warzone, the temperature of the CPU was around 72 degrees Celcius and the GPU at 55 degrees Celsius. The framerate of the game on high settings at 1080p resolution ranged from 100 - 130fps. I did notice that the CPU speed began to be throttled due to the rising temperatures and experienced this while playing other games as well. For everyday use, this system works perfect; it loads up after logging in super quick and programs open as fast as I clicked to open them. I would recommend upgrading the included CPU fan for a water cooling system as this will lower CPU idle and at load temperatures drastically (while gaming in particular, this case does support a 240mm radiator although it will be a tight fit) and even adding another case fan for airflow. Now for the cons. Specs wise, the ROG Desktop has DDR4 RAM (latest DDR5 could’ve been added), USB 2.0 ports (who still uses those?!), and a lower capacity hard drive (need more storage space for games). As a gaming PC, I would’ve expected for it to also have better and future-proof parts. In addition to this, while playing different PC games, the memory on the computer rose to 13GB (out of 16GB). I would also recommend adding an additional 8GB of RAM to the computer to not experience any slowdowns. Overall, this desktop looks great and you can tell Asus has catered the design to what many gamers are looking for. Where it lacks is in future-proofing hardware, slightly in performance, and several upgrades are recommended to take this computer to the next level. Due to it being a desktop, the parts can always be replaced although this should be taken into consideration when purchasing it. I recommend it for gamers who don’t mind doing upgrades themselves and for light gaming. Oh, and if you were wondering, this should run Minecraft and Roblox fine :D

The ASUS ROG Gaming Desktop is a powerhouse. Under the hood its packing some pretty impressive hardware for a pre-built desktop. Its biggest selling points are its GPU and Processor. For graphics you're getting an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6, which is a fairly high end graphics card. Obviously Nvidia is entering its 40's line up of GPUs, but even with that the 30's are still holding strong and should be able to handle just about anything you throw at it. Its processor is a 13th Generation Intel i7-13700F, 2.1GHz base speed and up to 5.2GHz turbo speed, which is great for high fidelity gaming. The storage space is 512GB SSD, which nothing incredibly impressive but is an acceptable amount for an entry level PC gamer, this is expandable of course. The RAM is a tricky one because as a gamer I'm inclined to want more, but from my usage I haven't had any issues witn 16GB. Since its pre-built I can't fault them for that, but I think 32GB should've been the default since the storage is under 1TB. Aesthetically its gorgeous, the housing is a drak grey, its almost a gun metal color, with a glass side panel for internal viewing. Since its ROG its gonna have RGB lighting, which is personalized through the ASUS Aura Snyc. A few neat add-ons are the carry strap and the headset holder. They aren't anything revolutionary but they are nice to have, it makes it easier to move without smudging the housing and the holder is like a little kickstand. Overall its an awesome gaming rig. I've been replaying all of Halo: MCC at 4K 120FPS for over a week and am immensely pleased with its performance. Its definitely something I would recommend.

Looking at the specs of this machine, I was excited to be able to get my hands on this. Intel's Core i7 13700F is a great CPU even without it's over clocking capabilities. 16gb of DDR4 memory is still great and enough for all tasks. Even though DDR5 memory is not that much more expensive and is the future of builds with great performance improvements. RTX 3060 graphics cars is also a top contender in it's class for running mid tier games. If gaming is what you are looking for, this thing can do it and it does it well. This is coming from someone who prefers to build their own PC systems. I like to know that the prebuilt market is starting to come around with it's own well priced machines. When I unboxed this machine, the overall build of the case is solid and looks pretty good. The RGB is tastefully done and even then you can control the settings via Aura Sync. The only thing that does not do it justice is the internal component & color combo does not go well. The motherboard is some low tier non ROG board and the size makes the case look bigger than it should be. The CPU cooler should have been radiator cooled and colored black. The CPU could have even more improved heating performance had the cooler been changed. Even if it isn't radiator cooled, having the radiator fins match the black fans to tone down the chrome in eyesore would have been a better move. Also, the bare looking memory cards look out of place for a gaming PC. Those upgrades for better performance and even aesthetics is the move to make. It doesn't look like this case allows for much upgradeability besides what is already mounted in here. Gaming - Throw everything you want at this machine. I've had my fun! 1440p or QHD gaming is very capable out of this machine. As always, it depends on how you tweak some of the video settings but gameplay is pretty capable. Even for more FPS games like Warzone, maxed out - I was getting 60fps on the low end. Connected to a G-Sync monitor, you can have really great graphics. You can find some impressive benchmark scores online so I won't go that far into details but for the price, this is a great deal. The Steam summer sale is going on right now and I am excited to pick up a few games to keep maxing out the video settings on this thing at 1440p. At the time of writing this, there is another ASUS ROG Gaming Desktop available at Best Buy. It is also on sale, for slightly less than this PC. It has the unlocked Intel Core i7 13700KF processor. It comes with double the internal SSD memory at 1TB. Arguably, a much better RTX 3070 compared to the 3060 (The debate is that some of NVIDIA's newer offerings aren't worth the upgrade, let alone the price). Just look again at the benchmark reviews if your intentions are for the best gaming rig that you can pickup in store. My advice, if you are starting fresh into serious pc gaming then this is a great move. Just be aware that there may be other similar options available. OR just have fun and build your own.

To start I should mention that I upgraded to this from a ROG Zephyrus G14, which I had previously been running my setup on for about two years. ASUS' ROG G16CH houses an extremely powerful RTX 3060 12GB VRAM and Intel i7-1300F inside a sleek, minimal, beautiful case. Having never owned a desktop PC before, I underestimated the size, with this tower standing at about 20 inches tall, and 16 inches deep. I was unable to keep it on my desk but opted to move it to a mobile PC stand that sits at the side of my desk. I would recommend doing this if you plan to have it on the floor as this particular model uses air cooling and has an intake fan on the underside of the case. Aesthetically the case is beautiful. The RGB lights aren't overwhelming. They can be controlled using ASUS Armory Crate. And while I haven't tried this myself (so do more research beforehand), I would be interested in seeing if you could swap out the fans for some RGB fans or add RAM with RGB for some extra glow. Performance-wise, this thing is POWERFUL. While my previous laptop had an RTX 2060 and AMD Ryzen 9, I very often had to play games on low-medium settings, especially if I were streaming. As other reviews have mentioned, this PC has absolutely no problem running modern AAA games at high-ultra settings at 1440p. I generally stick to 60fps as I stream and have no reason to go higher, but the framerate *can* go higher at that resolution. Of course it's entirely dependent on what settings you have turned on. I'd be hard-pressed to believe that this could run something like Cyberpunk or Control at max settings. The *only* problem that I've run into might be a power issue that might be my fault. Supposedly this model uses a 500 watt power supply, while the next configuration up with the RTX 3070 and liquid cooling uses a 750 watt PSU. I occasionally have had my peripherals cut out for about a second. I have them connected to a powered USB hub, which is connected to the back of this PC's case. It could just be that I have too much connected which would make sense. Just something to be aware of. It's also worth mentioning that this configuration comes with 16GB of memory and a 512GB internal SSD, which just isn't enough for my workflow. I plan to upgrade both of those at some point. Essentially I'll be doubling up--32GB RAM, 1TB SSD--which I feel will be more than enough. I'm very confident that this PC will be future-proof for at least the next couple years. If you're too scared to build your own PC and don't want to break the bank for a gaming laptop, get this. Just be prepared to make a few upgrades in the way of storage and memory.

    Great Gaming Prebuilt Desktop

Asus is a brand I have used for a few pieces of my own machine, so for a prebuilt this is a machine going in to it that I expected to do well. Intel i7, 16GB RAM and a RTX 3060 give you some great specs. Included in my box was the PC itself, Keyboard, Mouse, WIreless Antenna, additional cables for the modular PSU and some manuals and papers. The PC itself is built really clean, and has some good IO. The parts in the machine are simple, non-RGB but they have LED strips that provide color across the glass and the design at the front of the case. I had one machine for the boys, but they have been taking turns playing Minecraft and Grounded so a second machine for them to play was on the books so they can play together. I got the machine while the family was out of town so I had a opportunity to set it up and play some Diablo IV on the machine as I am playing that religiously at the moment. I started playing on a 1080p monitor and later swapped to a 1440p ultrawide monitor. With both monitors I was able to run Diablo IV on Ultra with a FPS stuck around 70FPS. I was able to play for a few hours both times without any massive drops, I would see a few dips during huge mobs running nightmare dungeons in a full party, but never anything that cam down to a stutter. The case provides some upgrade options, there looks to be other standoffs for a larger Motherboard, but I think if you're looking to do that big of an upgrade I would look at getting a new case, but the CPU and GPU are great, to eventually move in to a new case if that's what you're looking in to. Overall the machine is well built, and offers a little room to grow. This is something I would consider great as a starter machine, which I can show the boys how to upgrade small parts in this case, such as RAM or adding a Sata or M.2 drive down the line. Before possibly upgrading to a whole new case. As this is, it is a capable machine that is able to play current titles.
