The ROG Gaming Desktop delivers a great all-around performance. You get a good CPU and GPU that will play any game or tackle any task. No packing material and nothing came undone in shipping. Taking it out of the box, the strap handle is a nice addition when picking it up. A clean design for a plastic case. Popping off the side panel you are invited with cord management. Nothing sticking out or in a place, it isn't supposed to be. Not bad for a prebuilt. Like most Desktops, you unscrew the two screws to get into the components. Everything attached to the motherboard and Power Supply were tightly connected. Everything looked the way it was supposed to look, which is rare for most prebuilt Desktops. Performing in action the desktop does well. You will be able to max out a lot of older games easily at 2k Ultra. The 4070S is in the middle of the pack when it comes to gaming and performance. The 12GB of GPU RAM is a decent start to the game at decent framerates. You do get all the benefits such as AV1 encoding, Frame Generation, and DLSS 3. For that extra boost in gaming. The 32GB of RAM is a decent buffer. I will be upgrading to 64GB of RAM soon. The downside is the 2TB of SSD storage is split between two 1TB sticks. The motherboard has some limitations. Asus told me the RAM tops out at 64GB of RAM. I hope this isn't the case. Outside of that, this was an amazing Desktop. I even don't mind the RGB because you can customize it to your liking.

This desktop has all the power needed to run the latest AAA games. The case is sleek and provide plenty of airflow for the internal components. There are plenty of ports (USB, aux, etc.) and the case lighting on the front complements the see through window on the side. The Intel Core I7-14700, with 3.40 GHz speed, handles multi tasks with ease. The liquid cooling keeps it running smooth during demanding loads. 32 GB of RAM complements the powerful CPU to keep all programs running at full efficiency. The star of this package is the Nividia GeForce RTX 4070 Super GPU. This is the perfect mid-line GPU if you running games on a 1080 or 1440p monitor. I have my unit connected to an Asus ROG 1440p monitor with a 144 mhz refresh rate. The display quality is excellent and syncs for butter smooth framerates in intense action scenes. Unless you are running a 4K or 8K monitor, this GPU is all you will need. The 2 TB SSD hard drive provides plenty of space for large games. It is partitioned into two 1 TB drives which will allow your system programs to run separately of your gaming drive for increased efficiency. Out of the box, there was no bloatware programs pre-installed. There is not a system security program installed out of the box, so you will want to configure Window Defender or install a good third-party application to keep you safe online. Overall, this is an excellent budget friendly system, that provides plenty of power, and is built by a trusted company in the gaming industry.

Right out of the box (literally), you can tell the machine is well built. Durable plastic case with a strap to carry around (LOVE IT). Setting the PC up was a breeze. In the cable box, you get a Wi-Fi antenna, power cable, and some cables that you might need if you are adding to the machine itself. This also comes with a wired keyboard and mouse (if you do not already have one). Once on, the RGB lights up and machine starts the normal Windows 11 setup (Asus did add a bit at the end for registration, but that is to be expected). Once in, I would highly recommend running Windows updates, as well as installing any Asus updates via the app pinned to the task bar. As far as games go, this is more than enough for most gamers. I was able to get around 90-100 fps on 4k Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Starfield, I was able to get around 56 fps in 4k. Overall, the i7-14700KF and 4070 Super paired with 32gb of RAM (DDR4) will be able to run any game you like at 1440p without missing a beat. 4K you lose frame, but that is to be expected, and its manageable. Really depends on your preference! I had no issues setting up or gaming on this machine. Overall, I would say Asus did an exceptionally excellent job, both aesthetically, and hardware wise with this machine.

Out of the box and ready to start installing games only took about 15 minutes. The case not only looks great but also has a few nice features for real gamers or those who might even still participate in a LAN party. The handle strap was a nice feature that made moving it around very easy until I decided where I wanted it. Also the built in headphone holder is a nice feature if you don't already have somewhere to hang up your headsets. As far as games go this thing ran everything I threw at it from Fortnite running at 185 to 200 FPS consistently once I set it to DLSS and let the Nvidia software auto tune it. I also ran the latest Quake II RTX version and was blown away by how awesome it looked at ran at a solid 78 to 80 frames per second with every setting maxed out. I also tried other games from Steam and XBOX with no issues running them at max settings. I was able to play games like Apex Legends, Halo Infinire, and Forza Horizon 5 and all played very smooth without any issues. I also ran some 3DMark benchmarks as well just to show how powerful this system is and with this new Nvidia GPU there is not much of anything out there that is going to really challenge this PC. For an out of the box custom looking gaming PC you can't beat these Asus ROG systems.

panels for ventilation. A headset holder and handle are on the top back for easy moving. The RGB lighting shows off incredible lighting effects to add to your personality. On one side is a solid black matte metal; on the opposite side, it looks like tempered glass. The interior of the components is well-designed and allows for easy upgrades and customization. The case overall has a great sleek look with the included feature of the handle and the headphone placer. There are enough USB ports for all the utilities you need. It is not lightweight but easy to move around with the top handle. Its size makes it much more convenient to move around than other similar gaming desktops. The cooling, mesh, and fans are exceptional, keeping operating temperatures under control with hushed operation, especially during high-energy gaming sessions. Overall, The cooling system is excellent, the PC never gets too hot, and it isn’t too noisy. The 32 GB of DDR5 allows high load-up speeds and multiple applications to be run simultaneously. The computer runs most games at high FPS, even with the highest graphics. The auto-installed armory crate is very useful for customizing your PC usage to what you need. Overall, I am delighted with the gaming desktop.

First of all, I decided to go with this model because it's hard to find a prebuilt gaming pc with 2TB storage and 32gb of ram. Last thing I want is opening a brand new pc. 4070 Super is a great midrange card too with only minor perfomance loss vs 4070 super ti. Now as to the first experience. I made the mistake of following included instructions which incorrectly tell you to plug in the screen in the top hdmi slot! A black screen and a panic attack later, common sense (and geek squad support) told me to plug into the gpu hdmi which of course solved the problem. Next issue came up after I set up the Windows. Suddenly the sound stopped working: no mic, no speakers. I tried using different speakers, dufferent mic, messing with settings, etc, but nothing worked. An intense google search later I stumbled upon a vide that explained that the issue was the Realtek driver. After going into hardware config and switching the driver to generic audio, the sound came back. I hope this is the last of it, but given the experience I have to take off one star. Will edit the review if anything else crops up. P.S.: as someone mentioned, the pc is water cooled so forget adding stuff later. I plan on it lasting at least 4 years with no upgrades.

I tested several games on this PC and the performance was amazing. I would not necessarily recommend this pc if you wanted to mainly play in 4K and expect high frame rates. Now at 1440P or 1080p you’re going to be getting great frame rates and be able to keep all the details high. With Nvidia frame generation tech on games that support it like Diablo 4 I was getting and avg of 140fps on 1440p with settings on high. Which made for an incredibly smooth experience. Destiny 2 I was able to bump up to 4k leave on high and still avg 60fps to keep the game feeling smooth and looking great. Starfield also did well even if the game is not optimized the specs on this pc are good enough to give you a great experience. Overall I cannot say enough about this PC and how great it plays. My son was having a great time playing Planet Coaster with not log or issues as that game can be pretty demanding when your park is full of guests. If you really want to dive in the pc gaming space this is the PC to get. Incredibly easy to set up and I ceso my easy to get it going.

Basically your pros based on the $1,700 dollars you are paying are : -A 20 core cpu which 12 of them are efficient cores -32 GB of DD5 ram -4070 Supper which is ideal for 1440P games but keep in mind it only has 12GB of VRAM -and a few other pros. -2TB of NVME Cons: -Bluetooth didn't work. I finally had to order a Bluetooth adapter from Amazon. Don't know: -Wifi card. I won't be surprised if the WIFI card is also like the the bluetooth I mentioned in the Con section. Basically overall I needed a gaming PC and by this $1,700 was even beyond on my budget. I know sooner or later or later that 4070 super needs to get upgraded as even in 1440P some of my games needs more than 12GB of VRAM! but like I said I didn't even had a gaming PC to begin with so this is a great computer to start with.

Previously bought ibuypower gaming pc. I made the mistake of not getting a warranty as my previous pc had no issues for 5+ years. Had issues with it right after the 30 day best buy warranty. Ibuypower wasnt very helpful. This pc was leaps and bounds better for a cheaper price. Better graphics card, memory, ram. This has been a superior gaming pc

Just bought this a week or so ago, let me say, best PC ever! Handles every game I through at it with ease on highest settings. The game that came with, Black Myth, is like a interactive movie. My old PC, which was no slouch, chocked on Ratchet and Clank, not this one, it didn't even blink. My only complaint is that they should have put a mounting bracket for a couple of extra drives, a necessity on a gaming computer as games these days eat up lots of megabytes, there is room in the basement. They furnish cabling for one, but no mounting. Minor issue. Highly Recommend this rig!!

A wonderful entry PC and a solid Prebuilt. This computer has been able to handle anything I've thrown at it and not break a sweat. Cooling is loud but whoa boy does it cool, it's played some pretty tough to render Minecraft mods, all the way to Destiny 2 at max graphics, and gotten way over 120fps at 1080p. My only gripe is the maintenence, the case is irritating to take apart to clean. Otherwise, couldn't be happier.

I did a lot of research before buying this gaming PC, and bought it when this price was dropped $200 bucks to $1,549.00 . I've had it several weeks now and am very impressed the results. Very quiet fans, cool temps, and very fast. Great value and quality components. I definitely recommend the ASUS - ROG Gaming Desktop.

Nice machine! Specs are really good, and plays my games seamlessly. I went from a laptop to this with a curved monitor and what a difference. Also runs very quietly, unlike the laptop whose fan screamed the whole time I had a game going, even though it also had good specs.

I bought this computer to replace an older one I've used to support and maintain my observatory. I was hoping this PC's speed, and performance increase would be worth the price, and it definitely was. Without getting too detailed, I can process 800 Gigs of data in almost half the time it would take using the older PC, and the older PC was only three years old. As for the speed. I'm getting over 240 FPS while playing online games such as World of Warcraft, where the older PC was getting 110 FPS. Yes, I would buy another of these, and I will continue to recommend it to anyone that has a need.

Set up was super easy. This computer is so much faster then my old one. Plays any game with ease. Stays cool and quite and Asus quality. Could not beat the price I got at Best Buy no matter where I looked. Definite buy.

This is a fantastic pc. it runs great and I love the specs. I got it on sale for about 1600 which is a phenomenal price. If you can get it for that, I would so grab it without hesitation it runs buttery smooth and is top of the line. That said if it's not on sale idk if it's the best because the case it is in leaves something to be desired. It is a very thin case so if you want extra fans or any thing else to upgrade with, you should be aware of that or get a new case along with the pc.

i can’t explain how much i love this computer, i saved up for a while to get my first gaming pc and it’s amazing. i can run vr at full graphics and discord, voice mod, chrome, and obs with no lag. i would recommend this for anyone wanting a good pcvr experience or the cleanest gaming in history. AHHH only downside i have ever found is that roblox doesn’t open because of the asus armory crate application. i was able to uninstall it and roblox still wouldn’t open but like a month later it started working so take that as you will.
