It is a workhorse. School, gaming, it's handling nonstop use. The fan comes on from time to time but that's a good thing. The poor thing is so over-used, I marvel now, almost 6 months later. Keeping my fingers crossed that this stays strong and keeps working well. It's teen's lifeline!

The PSU is upgradeable, but this leads to another issue: the decorative lighting (not the power indicator) is powered through a special cable linked to the SATA power cord. If you have to swap the cables for a new PSU (and you most likely will), you'll end up losing the case lighting in the process. This is a minor annoyance for me, but may be more important for others.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the PSU component choice in this machine. This is certainly not the kind of experience that we want any of our customers to have. Please note that the RTX 2070 Super will only pull 215W at maximum load and that this PSU was intended to be able to support this card when gaming. Used it for exactly a month

We bought and picked it up exactly a month ago and now it won’t turn on. We thought it was the circuit but it doesn’t make sense because everything else in the room worked (monitor, Xbox, speakers). We googled it and it said it’s probably the power cord or the power button. Not sure what it is but we’ll be going to best buy in the morning to check it out. A year or two into using it I would expect something like this to happen. Not a month.

I'm truly sorry to hear that the unit is unable to turn on. This is absolutely not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. Please attempt these steps:
1. Unplug the charger
2. Press and hold the power button for 1 full minute
3. Plug in only the charger and press the power button to start up normally

The good news is that it has the power I need for both editing and gaming, its power is undeniable. However, I am currently on my second rig of the exact same setup since I purchased the original rig on December 29th, 2020 (today is 02/24/2021 for reference (and I had to have it shipped both times, so take out around two weeks out of that time)) and this one is showing some of the same issues as the last one. The system will freeze for a couple of seconds, the GPU sometimes fails entirely, and reliability shows critical events almost every other day pertaining to hardware or software errors. I've done everything I know of on my end, reinstalled drivers, turned off software, just about everything short of replacing components (unless you consider returning it and getting a new one as replacing the components). If you're looking for good parts, they're all here, and the system works really well, as long as it is actually working. It's a decent machine, but not one that I would recommend to be honest....
