GPU & CPU rock! Hard for a newbie to upgrade

This thing can perform.
The gpu and cpu can power through anything. For that reason, you should get it.
Be aware that the case and motherboard are somewhat annoying if you’re looking to upgrade this setup.
Im no pro, but I am in the middle of some upgrades with this G15CS, and here’s a little rant:
The case has a rinky tink exhaust fan (I think 80mm), and no intake fans on the front. Despite the laughable lack of fans, my cpu and gpu don’t run hot at all, so I wouldn’t say it’s necessary to upgrade the cooling unless you realllly want to overclock. I feel the need to instal more fans just so it feels complete though. There’s room to install one 120mm at the inside/bottom portion of the front. There’s space for one above that as well, but no screw holes. Maybe I could mount at the top as well but the issue with the fans is finding a fan header to plug in to. Unless I’m overlooking something, get a splitter to add extra cooling.
The motherboard is obviously the culprit for lack of headers. It has what it needs for the parts this pc comes with, and not much else.
The power supply seems a little low for this caliber of gpu and an i7 processor. I plan on upgrading to a 750 watt psu very soon and currently have limits set for the cpu and gpu power consumption, just in case.

Good PC, but over-priced.

This PC is a decent PC. I am able to run Warzone on max settings at roughly 90-120fps, and Fortnite on max settings at 120fps. Any higher, and the PC skips frames and runs too hard. The only con I would say this has, is that it over-heats after a couple hours of playing. I also cannot upgrade/install new CPU fans or tower fans because the 500w PSU is too weak. With that being said, the PC will overheat after a little bit and then drop your fps to 30/40 until you restart it and let it cool down. If there wasn't a chip shortage, I could build a better PC for $300 less. I didn't spend $1600 on this PC for a chubby 13y/o to get better fps on his Gen one Ps4. It's alright I guess. It's been two months and it hasn't given me any major issues.

Dear Valued Customer,
It's unfortunate to hear that the PC overheat. This is absolutely not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. Certainly, most high-end games will require a lot of CPU/GPU usage. Please ensure to close all background apps and keep your system/drivers/bios up to date. If you have any technical concerns, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and provide this link for reference. I'll do my best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Your feedback is important as it helps with improvements to ASUS Support channels.

absolutely great pc!!

by far the best pc i’ve played on! well over 240 fps in any game i have played so far, although i dreaded giving this a 5 star because with the stock fans it comes with it gets a little hot but really doesn’t affect performance, therefore is really no big deal. and as well as the aura creator of pretty much where you change the color of your pc lights, don’t work as well. i have to restart my pc. but i’m sure that’s the apps problem. anyways best of around for the price of 1400!! and is also really quite!

I used to play PC games when I was in college. I wanted to explore what is todays PC capable of and came across this.
I was not sure how much I will use it, so did not want to spend a fortune, but also wanted something which can handle heavy games.
Pros:
- I am very happy with the looks and sturdiness of the PC.
- The colors are beautiful. Not too much color to make it look like a toy but at the same time gives a casual gaming feel.
- I played Call of Duty and Metro exodus. It works flawlessly.
- Has a USB 3 jack which I use to connect my iPad Pro
- The headphone holder is nice and handy
Cons:
- It is noisy when I play games due to the fans. As I am using a noise cancelling headphone, it is not an issue. I think it has to do with the openings in the case for better ventilation. We need to compromise somewhere . So I forgive that !
- The keyboard and mouse are very basic. But I am ok as I believe all the money I pay is invested into making a better PC. I will plan to buy ASUS keyboard and mouse in some time

Good for now, but not future proofed

With a whole new line of NVIDIA GPUs about to drop, I encourage you to buy the next model up from this to make sure you are future proofed. Don’t get me wrong, this machine is still a beast with a solid GPU, but if you’re going to ever want to upgrade to any of the next generation hardware over the next few years, it doesn’t quite have the tech to support it.
Power supply is only 500W. The next model up has 750W. i7 9700f is good, but the next model up has the superior i7 9700K.
I love Asus as a brand and exchanged this for the build with the 2080 Super instead. It’s only 300 dollars more and offers much more future proofing at an incredible price. In the long run, you’ll be spending less money because you’ll only have to upgrade your GPU over the next several years.

Giving this four stars for the two fans- could definitely use another, especially since the rtx20 series tends to get toasty. It also came with the inside acrylic a little scratched up but I assume that's what happens when someone else pieces together your pc and flies it 1k+miles cross country. My last and final complaint is that it sometimes hangs for a second while the CPU really kicks into gear.
That being said this is a solid computer for today's market that can reach 144hz with a 2560x1440 monitor flawlessly and has no issues running most games on high/ultra (like Fallout 4 and Grand Theft Auto V). If you're about to give up on the 30 series, this is a great alternate choice.

Great Deal

This PC has worked flawlessly so far. It is only air cooled by 2 fans but does the job. I wear headphones so fan noise isn't an issue anyway but barely noticeable when they are off. I use this PC for my flight simulators like DCS, XPLANE, and FSX. The frame rates are fantastic. I matched this to an HP OMEN OLED monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC which compliments the NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 video card.
This is a great value for a powerful enough desktop that more than gets the job done for me.

Gaming Desktop Review

Excellent computer - I am quite happy with it. The desktop is able to manage quite a load of work put onto it, and runs perfect. All games tested so far run well on the system.
Additionally, the system is able to run *many* game development tools simultaneously without any noticeable loss in perf.
The only "complaint" I would have is there being only one USB port in the front, however using a splitter has resolved this - making the issue negligible.
Would highly recommend.

For a gaming pc this is very average with no rog parts a low quality asus proprietary motherboard and locked ram @2666 if i ever bought a prebuilt again it will most definitely not be an asus rog, however for a person new to pc gaming this is a great introduction, its also great for the group that just wants a decent setup but not great for the upgrade groups

I've had this pc for around 2 years now. It's not terrible and will run most games pretty well. I do however get stutters fairly frequently. They range from just my entire setup freezing to it freezing and blacking out my video fully, which is extremely frustrating. This will happen when the only thing I have up is one google tab with facebook open or while gaming, so there doesn't seem to be a "trigger" for it.

I really like this PC. It's super snappy and games run great! RGB software is a little difficult to use but there are cool presets. I would have liked to see 2 sticks of ram because there is room for it an the motherboard. I would have liked easier access to the components as well. Other than that it's a great buy!

I bought it over a month ago and already played about 80 hours of high demand gaming. I'm not saying it's the absolute latest and greatest on the market but it's definitely a great price for the hardware your getting. I just didn't want to spend $3,000+ on something more current. I really feel this is all I'll need for a long time. I have no complaints at all and even the bloatware was pretty minimum. I really like the design of the case and the handle is so handy.

This is a great PC to get over the massive GPU shortage (this is the only way to really get a decently price GPU, a pre-built). However, a PC is a long term investment as you're going to have to constantly update the components.
Cons: fans, CPU radiator, motherboard
Pros: lights! great price for GPU.
I noticed my GPU was getting WAY too hot under load. (for my standards, 85+). I had to get a new case cuz this case would not fit anything else. I had issues and had to do some work arounds to get front IO working. There was only one pin for fans on the motherboard, had a buy a splitter.
Do i recommend? Yes! Just understand limitations, and be ready to get upgrading (but thats the fun part!)

Bought it as my first ever pc. it was pretty nice for a prebuilt and ran my games smoothly. It gets hot but that’s due to the smaller interior
