While I'm not a PC Gaming expert, I think this PC is fantastic. Most anything I throw at it, it performs. I can run most programs at Ultra High quality on a 1080 resolution and only run the CPU and GPU at 50% or less.
I've seen complaints about the Memory stick, the power unit, amount of USB ports, but it works. This pre-build is a great choice for those of us that don't have the knowledge to build our own. I'm happy, and I've already recommended to my friends.

You will need to upgrade the system PSU.

It's a great system with a few really glaring issues.
nVidia reccomends a 650w power supply for systems using this RTX 2070 Super graphics card. This Asus Gaming Desktop comes with a 500w PSU. System builders can choose what they want, but it's worth noting that the stepped up system from Asus (RTX 2080 Super) uses the nVidia recommend 750w PSU for that build. Have to wonder if the numerous system failures and issues noted in the reviews here are due to the 500w PSU chosen. I have had system crashes twice in 3 days of using the machine.
1 Stick of Ram insead of 2. Non Dual Channel Memory Speed out of the box with this system.
Only a single 80mm exhaust fan. No intake fans.
If you tweak the bios to keep CPU fan minimum at 500rpm this system is quiet. A nice plus. At default settings the 80mm rear exhaust fan is noisy most of the time.
The system on sale is still a great deal if you are willing to upgrade the PSU, RAM and swap out the rear 80mm for a quieter fan and/or add a 120mm to the rear top of the case.
It's a great looking system and I love the handle on top and the Headphone stand. I'll keep mine and upgrade it.
Achilles heel is the PSU in this thing. Glaring mistake not to put in a 650w PSU in here.

Dear Steve,
I'm sorry to hear about your performance issues with this machine. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control, testing and inspections. What you've experienced was not intentional or representative of our brand. Please rest assured that the PSU is sufficient to power the complete system, even during demanding games. If you have the system logs I would be happy to help you troubleshoot what happened when the system crashed. Regarding the cooling solution and RAM layout, I will forward your feedback to the Product team for review. Amazing Gaming PC for 1080p and 1440p High Refresh

I got to say this is the best gaming PC you can get for 1080p and 1440p ultra and high refresh rate at least 144 hz. However, the 16 GB of RAM is in single channel mode, not dual channel mode (it does affect to some games if running at single channel and it does improve faster loading to higher fps with certain games like Battlefield if you upgrading from single channel to dual channel mode). So I have to spend 75 dollars for a pair of 8 GB ram to make it to 16 GB in dual channel mode. In addition, just put 1 TB SSD would be a good upgrade
Specs:
i7 9700F (no overclocking and integrated GPU)
Nvidia RTX 2070 Super (the design of the GPU is a single fan)
16 GB of DDR4 clocked at 2666 MHz and in single channel mode
512 GB SSD M.2 + 1 TB HDD 3.5 inch
Performance: Amazing for 1440p 144hz like Siege, Overwatch and many e-sports games and old games. For RTX on, works well over 80 fps with Metro Exodus on Ultra with DLSS on.
Overall: I love this PC and please sell your PCs with dual channel mode ram and a higher capacity SSD.
Performance is amazing and you will have a great time with this PC.

This is the first gaming desktop I’ve ever purchased and I’m not at all disappointed. It is pretty much what you could expect and hope to get for the price (or so I’m told by my friends who are HEAVY on the pc side of gaming). Be aware that it comes with a keyboard and mouse - both wired. If you don’t want wireless stuff like me then you could save yourself a few hundred dollars. To sum it all up, it works great, it doesn’t make much noise at all, it uses less electricity than I expected even with power saver mode turned off and of course we all know that there’s no point in having an awesome pc unless it looks cool which this one does.

Purchased this PC for $1200 and it is definitely worth it at that price. I was a little skeptical from the reviews but I have had absolutely no issues with random shutdowns or anything like that. I have put it through its paces in games like Flight Simulator and Cyberpunk 2077 and it hasn't flinched.
The fan is a bit louder than I am used to but it is not deafening or anything. I slapped a second stick of 16 GB RAM in it for fifty bucks. The internal SSD is blazing fast but a bit small at 500 GB. I looked into possibly upgrading it but the drives and power supply look to be under a black metal shroud that seems hard to remove. No worries, though. The USB type C port on the top front of the PC is pretty speedy and I get read speeds around 450 MB/s from my 2.5" SATA SSD from my previous PC in a cheap enclosure. Not bad.
Anyways . . . yes, RTX 3000's are out now and no, you can't find one - but this is a solid PC at a good price that will run anything you throw at it for years. No ragrets.

I’m writing this from the perspective of a mom who doesn’t know anything about gaming systems and was worried about whether my teenage son would be crushed with disappointment from this big purchase he’d been saving for for several years. Now with 9 months of putting it through its paces, he’s still totally delighted with his purchase, and he’s not the easiest to please with electronics. Just took it to college and we’re hoping it won’t be stolen!
Powerful and great-looking system and great value for the money.

The exact product my son was looking for. It as the ability to play games as if he a the new gaming systems that has been out of stock sine they were released. He brags about the system daily and it is marked high by him. Great product. Since he started playing the system he has not once complained about how many apps that me and his father have open on our computer or phone. Worth the price because of the happiness it has provided.

I need rapid redrawing for some cnc projects I do. The regular business edition desktops do not afford the option of a fast video card so I went to a gaming machine. Combined with a super speedy generation 9 i7 and graphics card, this thing is a speed demon. Well worth the cash, ASUS has done it again. This my second ASUS machine I have had. The first ASUS was a 1st generation i7 and has lasted several years. My only complaint is that it was not made to do much expansion at least with a second HDD. Great machine.

I've had this for about six months, and it works great! I bought it mainly for gaming, and it runs my most high-demand games (Borderlands 3, Control, Cyberpunk 2077) on high or ultra settings with basically no issues. The only problem is that it occasionally freezes for about 10 seconds with no warning, but it goes back to normal after that. The customizable lighting is a really fun feature too!

This is my 4th Asus. I love them. This one is fast, and it's excellent, except it shuts off momentarily losing whatever data I've been working on. It's intermittent and can go for days and then for no reason it happens again. I should take it in, but with the current pandemic issues I haven't. If I'm working on something really critical I either back up constantly or use my old Asus, which, while slower is 100% reliable.

I’ve only used it to run games at max settings 1080 and it does so very very well. My only gripe is that it’s a bit loud at times but otherwise this is an excellent machine.
