Good PC just needs a few upgrades.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pre built gaming desktop is good. It has its ups and downs. I’ve owned this for about 3 weeks now. First thing I noticed about the desktop was it only came with 1x 16gb ram. So I upgraded and got 2x 16gb Corsair ram. Second thing I noticed is the GPU runs hot. 65-75. So multiple fans are a must. There are plenty plugins but no room to mount so I used double sided tape. Got the job done. Third thing that should be done is a better cpu cooler. Other than that the biggest down fall is the motherboard. But it is what it is. I would deft buy again and it’s worth the 1500. I got it for when it was on sale.

Defiantly a dream PC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this gaming PC so much, sometimes its loud and I feel like its overheating/pushing itself too hard but maybe that's just me. Overall this was worth the wait, it's so amazing and every game looks sooo beautiful. I did have a bit trouble setting it up, had to switch my Xbox HDMI with the ones it came with cause I guess it didn't fit the HDMI port in the back? Either way its 10/10

Its good but with its caveats....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is good or better yet a decent pre-built computer. It has its flaws and one that is always being posted is the fans. I had to upgrade to a better fan from Noctua and it made difference on the GPU temps (75-79C) on high settings. Still a little loud but i think that is the power supply fan. Upgraded the RAM to 32GB of Corsair RGB Vengeance as well. Motherboard- yep its not the best but it works- you can upgrade it when you need to so thats a good thing. The RTX 2080 Super isn't a true level graphics card - seems cheap or some kind of stock version for this prebuilt, but it does run games well. NEGATIVE Weird thing is that when your downloading content and gaming at the same time the PC totally bogs down and cant even keep up. 2TB HDD is slow as heck, you can upgrade it to but its so hard to get to on the motherboard- will look to upgrade that later when time permits. All in all if this came with a better GPU and two SSDs instead of one i would have given it 4 stars.

Expectations were low for this PC, boy was I wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first pc and overall I really enjoy it. My expectations for this were pretty low considering that almost every GOOD PC tends to be 2,500$ to 5,000$, but once I got it up and running I was blown away at how much it was able to handle. almost every game I've ran on here runs at 80 fps including COD Cold War, Modern Warfare, AC Valhalla, and RDD 2.

Love it for 3D crunching, but cannot be enhanced
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for 3D-rendering & the NVIDA card. Since it sits in my desk, the pretty lights are hidden. I love it - Works Great & renders at least 20 times faster than my older system; my main worry is this desk-top is basically not enhance-able! * No PCI slots - the NVIDIA consume what is there. * No 'drive bays' - the 2TB is screwed to the external case (as in screws you reach from underneath). I ended up removing (discarding) the 2TB so I could use my older 6TB data drive. * Be warned, the video has only 1 HDMI and 3 DisplayPort - I'd assumed 2 each, so had to go buy new DP cables as 2 HDMI not supported.

Good pc for ppl who don't care about temps
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll be honest, this is a amazing pc for players who don't care about their pc temps, as long as they get good fps and graphics. I had problems with the temps in this, causing my temps to go up to the 80+ C and the case didn't have any cooling options. In the end I needed to get a new pc case, fans, and a cpu water cooler. However, all the parts in it did come to good use in the new build.

COLOSSAL WASTE OF MONEY! BUILD YOUR OWN!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took a shot at a pre-built PC and this junk missed! Only solid part is the CPU. Motherboard, RAM, GPU, SSD, HDD are all Knockoffs, might as well be second hand parts. Couldn't even find the motherboard model on ASUS's website to check for a BIOS update. Seriously! Crashed(Blue Screened) multiple times while playing Call of Duty Warzone/Cyberpunk 2077 on LOW SETTINGS! CPU and GPU don't have adequate cooling, Temps get too high for comfort. GPU only has one fan on it? c'mon a 2080 super with one small fan!? Constantly 75c-83c in games. The HDD SATA cable wasn't even plugged in when I got it! SAVE your money and build the same thing for less than the MSRP of this junk. RETURNED ASAP. How can they sell this? Just ridiculous.

Second failure in less than a month!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer to get into sim racing, nothing crazy. The first unit I purchased failed almost immediately out of the box before I could even do much more than set up my account. The second one decided to fail tonight, deciding to shut down and continuously restart itself every few minutes. I have less than 12 hours total on this second unit over the past 30 days. Hopefully, either Best Buy or ASUS will do the right thing and take care of this tomorrow when I contact support for a return. In short, buyer beware. The unit seems to run hot running even the most basic of settings. Maybe I am just unlucky and got two bad units out of the bunch. If you do take a chance on this one thought, get the extended warranty!

Expensive, loud and dead in a week
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was only able to use this device for a short time, from the start I noticed that it took more than one press on the power button to get it to power on. I chalked it up to poor design or maybe I was pushing the wrong spot on the power button. The last time I used it, I had to press about 6 times to start it. By day 5 it wouldn't even power on at all. Completely dead... When it did run a game it had plenty of lag spikes. It was also very loud, constantly revving the cooling system fan or just running louder than any PC I've ever used. It was nice to look at and functioned well with older games but nothing remotely new.

No room for upgrades or new fans.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently returned this computer because of the lack of fans and room for upgrading parts. There ARE NO INTAKE FANS in the front only one exhaust fan in the back. I do not recommend this product for anyone ho will be opening and big games such as COD, Rainbow six, GTA, Minecraft with shders/mods, etc. Don't get me wrong, ASUS is a great brand but this computer is poorly made.

GPU died as soon as warranty expired
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought in late June 2020, the GPU started to die in July 2021. Let the time stamp tell you that it's not a good time time to have your GPU die. After dishing out $200+tax to BB for GeekSquad services, I found out that the GPU needs to be replaced. When I contacted ASUS, I was told to pay additional $85+shipping+tax to have the part sent to them just so they can look at it. This is, of course, on top of paying $1,800 for this ROG. I don't want to send it to them because I'm scared that they will not give me a chance to buy a new card off of them but instead force me to pay repair on my existing card. This was time spent at Best Buy and then on the phone via several phone calls with ASUS. All I wanted them to do is to procure me a video card and sell it to me, I would send them my old card to keep or refurbish or whatever. They get a broken card to study in the name of science and they also get a sale out of it. Very disappointed in ASUS and very disappointed to have bought their product from Best Buy. People that complain about Alienware being overpriced due to "paying for the brand" need to look at this review. I have never had this kind of experience with Dell.
