Customers find value in the ROG Gaming Desktop's high performance and powerful GPU, frequently praising its quiet operation and ease of setup. However, some users reported issues with the cooling system, RAM configuration, and fans, while others expressed concerns about the price and power supply. The overall experience appears to be positive for many, but potential buyers should be aware of these reported drawbacks.

I had to cancel my AW order because Dell CS provided me with false information then delayed my order by another month, making my total wait time almost three months. How is it relevant to this ASUS? I placed my order for this and it was on my doorstep the next day. I wouldn't care if it was broken (obv. it wasn't), the fact that in these tough for Supply Chain times Best Buy was able to send me a PC this fast, deserves a star in itself.
I'm able to run any game out there. 8 core CPU and 2080 SUPER are getting me super high FPS as well. I couldn't be happier. So far the fans have kicked into high gear only once for about 10 minutes and I could easily block them out by wearing headphones. Yes, you could probably build this for 80% of the cost, but good luck getting the components in a timely manner.

on the second day I had to do a return to the factory settings. The PC just wouldn't start the operating system. the car heats up decently and makes noise. gets better by lowering the settings. the rest is not even a bad device. let's see what will happen next.

At first i was a little unhappy as I have an LG CX and this doesn't have an HDMI 2.1 port on the 2080 super. Butttt, As i started messing around, upgraded the ram to 32 (use 2666, don't waste your money on anything higher), cool this bad boy down (although if you don't mind sound you can rank up the fans to 100% and keeps it cool even on a high overclock) and there nothing i've thrown at this bad boy it couldn't run at ultra high settings and pulling 120-150 framas on 1440p and 60fps on 4k (again no hdmi 2.1 limits this to 18 gbps) although i'm sure it can pull of more fps on 4k but the 2.0 limits it but doesn't matter. I'd recommend as long as you up up the ram and some liquid cooling and you're all set.

I am a graphic designer by trade and and gamer by heart.
My Razer Blade 15 crapped out on me in the middle of the night, and I was on a deadline so I went to search for another and found this.
Out of the box it worked good for a workstation, and with maxed graphic settings in cold war on my 35in 3440x1440 ultra-wide I was getting 60-80 fps with GPU temps topping 84C...
My upgrades/mods:
1) Corsair iCUE H100i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler
-mounted in the front of the case as intake which was the biggest PITA
2) 2x16gb Corsair Vengence 2666mhz ram
3) replaced rear exhaust fan with Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM also added two more mounted at the top as exhaust as well
4) added a 1T Samsung 970 Evo Plus
Heating is now down to 28C when working and as of typing this. Around 70C with Cold War graphics set to ULTRA minus the RTX and frames are pinned at 140.
Overall a great PC if you have the extra 500 or so to put into it, lol.
I plan on ripping it all apart this weekend because I purchased a new case a motherboard.

This was a warranty replacement for a vastly better iBuypower rig with defective cooling. If it hadn't been a warranty job, I would have fixed it myself but the service center said it couldn't be repaired.
The specs are pretty good on this but the cooling is very sub-par. The case is tiny and you won't fit much else in it. There is no M.2 slot on the motherboard, and the cables for power and sata are stuffed into the drive bay, leaving no room even for my WD Red media drive.
The best idea with this, if I have the time, would be to pull everything out and put it in a bigger case. I'd then pull the radiator off the CPU and put something bigger on it. Your CPU isn't going to go into the Danger Zone with this rig, but it will ride the edge if you actually ... play games with it.
It's still likely your only option for an RTX card.

It's a good pc to start off with for higher end gaming. Only thing is, you need to make some upgrades to it. I just recently upgraded the RAM, and am going to add a couple case fans and replace the generic CPU cooler also. Once I make these other upgrades, it will be an even better pc.

The hardware works good. I wanted a system to play VR games on and this can. I had to purchase a better case because the case this one comes in is a joke. No air flow.... I give it a 4 star because hardware is good for what I want just they lost a star on this case.

Pretty good computer I will say, I wish it came with dual channel memory though, I couldn't find a stick to match with one that came with the computer and I have had some BSOD's related to the Memory. Otherwise, it's a great computer for gaming and getting stuff done.

Great computer. This was a huge upgrade for me since I haven't had a personal desktop in over 15 years (I've just used laptops). I'm a videographer by profession and initially bought this computer for video editing. I wish I could review how it performs in that aspect but I haven't had any freelance gigs to use it for yet. I will say my work computer that I edit with on a daily basis is a much more powerful machine than this (128gb RAM, dual processor) and seems comparable in speed so far. I've played some games with it and everything runs smoothly. I am very pleased with this computer for its price and features.

The computer seems to run my video game on full settings without much issue. The only thing that I have an issue with is the fans throttling and backing off then throttling again within a few seconds time. I haven’t figured out what to do about it.

The issues i have with this is that it’s only in single channel, there is literally only one fan and it’s exhaust if your not counting the cpu cooler and the gpu fan, everything else is fine.

This PC has exceeded everything I purchased it for. A couple of Things to note for future reference. I know that the majority of people are going to switch parts down the long run so here it is.
1: Comes with 1 Stick of 16gig of ram.
2: Comes with 1 stock fan and a CPU fan.
3: Has the potential to fit at-least 6 fans.
4:the SSD is right next to the ram slot on this Mother Board.
5: Right out of the box this is a great PC!
6: The Motherboard is Great but it needs replacing eventually for more ram slots and etc.
7: The 2080 Super is a Naked version.

So far, so good for this novice computer buyer. Love it. All is working as expected. No hiccups on set up. One side I didn't think about was to ask how many ports it has. It needs more USB and HDMI ports for additional external sources.

I was not sure whether or not to get this because of the heating issues. I did get it and i must say that it was an excellent purchase. It runs all of my son's games at very high fps. As far as overheating goes, i havent noticed any sign of it getting hot. The fan seems to run alot but i dont care because it is quiet. My son plays it for hours on end and it has never thermal throttled or anything. I havent checked the cpu or gpu temps because i havent had any reason too. In my opinion this is a great gaming computer.
