Great laptop for the price. Runs everything I can throw at it. It does get a little hot but that's to be expected with so much power in a laptop.

I purchased this computer about 3 weeks ago as my first gaming laptop. And so far I love it. The only downfall is that there is no disk drive. But I just went out and purchased a portable disk drive and everything works perfectly!

I love this computer. It works perfectly for doing my school work online with all of the videos and presentations that must be done. Runs fast with multiple programs running.

Good performance for the price. Cannot hold both a disk and solid state drive which we were misinformed about at the time of purchase by best buy staff. If you want the faster boot you need to replace the disk drive altogether with a solid state drive. Everything else is good, and at the onsale price below $1000.00 it was a great deal.

If you know what you are purchasing and go in with eyes open, this is a great laptop. I did a lot of research and read lot of reviews. I'm coming from an MSI and was extremely unhappy because the AMD / MSI team stopped supporting the graphics drivers, and the laptop wasn't even 3 years old. So, I gave up on MSI. Keep in mind a couple of things: 1. This is the 3GB version of the GTX 1060, not the full 6GB. If you have no plans of using an external 4K monitor and will stick with the laptop LCD screen, this shouldn't be a problem with even the most modern games. You may lose at most a handful of FPS. I knew this going in. 2. It has 8GB onboard RAM fixed to the motherboard. and then only ONE upgradable slot with a 4GB RAM stick coming from the factory. If you want more RAM, you have to remove the 4GB stick and install at least an 8GB stick. For me, for now, the 12GB is plenty. Also, I installed an M.2 SSD immediately after I purchased it. Asus even includes a screw in a little zip bag for your M.2 SSD slot. That's excellent! Speakers aren't great, but you are buying a thin gaming laptop, so there is only so much room. Cooling is great, and coming from the MSI, it's relatively quiet. Of course, after I bought it, the day after Best Buy's price drop period expired, it went down $100. Typical. Overall, great gaming laptop that should give you a few years of futureproofing.

Most powerful laptop I have ever owned and it can Run VR hardware. It even has a m2 slot for an NVme ssd drive. Love it

I was looking for a good computer that I could edit and store all my pictures on. This computer exceeded my expectations. Very easy to navigate. Start up time is fast. Battery last a long time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've always been a console person but after some of my friends telling me to get a gaming PC I made the jump. This computer is awesome. Windows 10 is excellent and with the processor and graphics card in this you won't be disappointed. It runs all of my games on ultra (overwatch, player unknowns battlegrounds, Arma 3) and it has an easily accessable ROG button to check temps and cpu status. Great first gaming laptop with excellent performance for the price!

I purchased this computer for my son. The service at Best Buy in wilson nc was pleasant. However, their internet connection within the store was poor.

Came with one dead pixel, which really bugs me, other than that pretty good specs. Old school platter hard drive is slow but replaceable and I wish it had separate mic and headphone inputs. When you open the lid the monitor blocks the exhaust vents which is a strange engineering move, but it seems to cool ok, fans get moving pretty quick when gaming but no issues.

We got an oculus for Christmas and needed a gaming computer. This computer is amazing and very fast.

This to me is a great gaming laptop. I was able to run most games in ultra settings and the screen is a good resolution. The keyboard feels nice and i like the design of it. The only problem is i wish it was a SSD to make gaming better but you can always upgrade. Battery life is ok.

This is my 1st computer for gaming and it is great! It's fast and just fun to use.

I'm writing this on behalf of my 14 year old self professed gamer son. So far he loves this laptop. It plays all the games he loves and is performing at a high level. It looks great. All around no complaints and this is a kid that doesn't hesitate to complain. I like it because he's able to do all his school work on it. Okay maybe he does have one complaint he's able to do school work on it.

It’s my first gaming computer and it’s everything I ever wanted. It runs games that it shouldn’t. Battlefield 1 on Ultra runs smooth like butter with no stutter. I’m excited to see how Battlefront 2 works on it. ONLY criticism is the touch pad gets a little wonky from finger oils but you can wipe it off and if you’re gaming you’re probably using a mouse anyway.

Im not into gaming , just bought this for engineering programs. I hate windows but this computer has been great. Well worth the money. Hasnt been as glitchy as most windows computers, has been very fast and smooth. Graphics are awesome. Created a custom power plan and for a gaming computer I can get pretty good amount of time out of the battery (with everything turned down). Overall very happy and would buy another.
