Don't get if you want M.2 slots

The m.2 slots come with really cheap screws that are really tight made of a soft metal and strip as soon as you try to unscrew them even with a proper precision screwdriver set. It was actually the screw on the right side for both slots that was really tight. I did manage to get 1 of the slots off with a lot of work and using the rubber band on the head of the screw trick, but I couldn't get the other slot heatsink off which was the one I originally wanted to use. I have been buying Asus motherboards for a long time, but this one finally broke me of it. I was building a second computer for my wife and went with a Gigabyte Aorus Master for the second computer. The m.2 screws on the Gigabyte motherboard are made of a much stronger metal and they weren't as tight.

      Dear Walt45,

It is very unfortunate that the motherboard will not power up.We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our product. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control, testing and inspections. What you've experienced was not intentional or representative of our brand. If you have not done so, please try the following steps listed below. In the even that the steps fail, ASUS also provides warranty for the unit in order to fix or repair any isolated factory escape defect. If you can provide us with your serial number for the motherboard, we are happy to advise you on how to have the device sent in to ASUS.

Good motherboard, but missed the mark

This is a great motherboard with lots of features I love. Good overclocking, Even Ai overclocking that is actually good (Ai overclocked my 9700k to 5.1ghz at 1.35v on 6 cores and 4.8ghz on 2 cores. I was very impressed by this) and I love the bluetooth for my wireless headphones. But on to the bad. The ROG Hero motherboards have alwaya been for enthusiast who want a good board with great power delivery for overclocking and goos features at a price thats not out of sight. But this ROG motherboard uses a cheaper 4phase power delivery system just like the ones they use on their cheaper none ROG boards. On top of that the cooling is bad for the power delivery, it gets hotter than much cheaper boards.

      Dear Robert,

We appreciate your feedback on this matter and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. ASUS integrates long-lasting, premium components, plus exclusive smart DIY designs across the board — ensuring the best gaming experiences. The Maximus XI Hero was designed specifically with 9th gen CPUs in mind. Phase doublers were removed because we found that they can have a negative impact on the CPU’s transient voltage performance. At the same time we’ve upgraded the power stages and added a heatpipe to the heatsink to improve thermal performance. First of all i want to tell people to not buy this motherboard. I never had a problem with motherboard as with this ,coil whine around the CPU area. Since i bought it it was fine for about 6 months than it started the coile whine around cpu high pitch sound. I call Asus tech support the worst as well.
