Bad latency, face button lag when being pressed. Triggers only registered when it wanted to. The 4 front small menu button are placed horrible, cant get to them without accidentally hitting the joysticks. Wireless i was only getting 850 polling rate, while being wired i was only getting 500 polling rate. Which was completely backwards. The RGB app asus make you download, interfered with your other RGB lights or software. I wanted this to be my emd controller, but i went through 3 of them. Asus couldn't help me either. I did the update right away for controller. Overall i cannot recommend this controller. Your luck maybe different from mines, but after 3 tries, i gave up. I went with the scuf valor pro wireless and I'm completely impressed.

Great Comfort and Very Good Performance

If you play games a lot, your priority should be a comfortable and ergonomic controller which is the first thing I liked about the Asus ROG Raikiri II. My hands are not big and they feel nice here, but I can tell that even if you have big hands, the level of comfort will still be similar. To me, that’s a five out of five. Although comfortable, it took a little bit of time for me to get used to it because the buttons are not exactly what I would call Xbox standard buttons, but once I got the hang of it, I really loved this thing. I don’t see myself swapping buttons very often, but there are some included to be swapped for some games and special use. Of course, performance is the most important feature a wireless controller needs to provide. Here’s where I had mixed experiences. For flight simulators and games like Halo, it responded super-fast. However, there were some noticeable delays when playing some more demanding action games which forced me to switch to wired mode. To be fair, this is not uncommon and it didn’t prevent me from playing effectively. The reason I changed to wired mode was more a perception issue since my brain expected an instant response and it was a few milliseconds slower than that expectation. Still, it performed either better or on par with other good controllers I have. Everything in my office or gaming room has RGB lights and that is something I enjoyed in this controller. It is a bit discreet which I prefer. I thought that the level of software customization was good enough for me, but some people might expect more, especially if you’re comparing it to some controllers made specifically for PCs. On the other hand, there are customizations such as remapping that you can do right on the controller without the need of software. I like that. Finally, wireless charging is a great feature, especially if you don’t need to charge it quickly. Yep, that was the part that threw me off in the beginning because while I was excited that I didn’t need to connect a cable to charge it, it took much longer than I expected at first. But it was only because I was in a hurry to play. After the first time, it didn’t really matter how long it took. The convenience was more important to me. But you have the option of charging in the case. Also, by wireless charging, I don’t mean Qi compatible. It does have some physical contact which makes me wonder why it feels slower than when charging in the case. Overall, it is an excellent comfortable controller with mostly fast performance and a lot of features. I was torn between four or five stars, but I went with a more conservative rating.

I’m going to preface this by saying, I’m a huge ASUS fan. I have had several laptops (gaming and not), gaming desktop, and ROG Ally (1st and 2nd gen). So yes, I like them. That being said, ASUS absolutely nailed it with the ROG Raikiri II Wireless Controller. I’ve been gaming long enough to remember when a “good controller” just meant the buttons worked and the sticks didn’t drift, so when something genuinely feels premium out of the box, it’s kind of hard to miss. And for sure, for the price point… it had better. The build quality is the first thing that stands out — it has that solid, confident weight without feeling bulky, and the textured grips make it incredibly comfortable during long sessions. Nothing creaks, nothing feels loose, and the buttons have the tight response you gotta have. Personally, I haven’t experienced any connectivity issues. No random disconnects or lag. Everything has been consistent. Sticks are smooth with good tension balance for control and speed. Triggers are responsive and feel especially good in racing games where fine throttle control matters (Disclaimer: friend told me that one. I’m not really a racing gamer.) It’s a good build. Rear buttons are placed where your fingers naturally rest, no awkward reach. Adjustable trigger stops give you that competitive advantage without needing to jump up to an ultra-expensive pro-tier controller. I feel like it was designed for the long session gamer. In my opinion, if it’s ROG… it’ll look good. Same here. Aesthetic is clean and sharp without being flashy with unnecessary aspects.

This style of controller is a dime a dozen at this point, and it's difficult to stand out in the crowd, however this is an excellent and very well made controller: Packaging: To start, it is very well packaged, it has a feel of luxury to the box and the way it is packaged, which is rare these days and something you only find in higher-end components. It consists of the controller itself of course, a dongle, and a few pieces of literature as well as a charging case, USB cable and high profile stick caps. All that is needed to get rolling but again the higher end controller denotes higher end feel to the experience which i can appreciate. Use Due to it's known form factor it is instantly recognized both in the Windows XBox app and in Steam without having to get creative with button mapping other than some of the additional buttons and bumpers that it has over the base controller configurations. This is welcome as they are well placed and easy to access. Steam recognizes the buttons without issue and mapping is easy assuming the game supports them. The reaction of the controller is precise and controlled, I've used it in games like BeamNG.drive, tactical games like Shadow Tactics, platformers like cuphead, and numerous others, and the experience is excellent. It really is an excellent controller once you combine the features like programmable buttons with the overall feel. Overall: It's an excellent controller, long battery life, familiar feel and additional features. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for something beyond the traditional out of the box controller.

Looks and feels amazing. Plenty of buttons you may customize depending on your game and just the feeling of pushing a button and hearing the click allows you to not beat down on the buttons. The build quality is very similar to an original XBOX controller however it has nice lighting. Out of the box it comes with the charging cable, a charging station and a usb wireless receiver. The usb receiver is very small and does not get in the way like others do. Additionally, if you do not want to use the usb dongle you are able to use it wirelessly. The battery life is amazing but since it comes with the charging base once you are done playing just put it back on and battery will never be an issue as long as the battery is good. The usb receiver is nicely tucked within the controller when not in use. Another thing i did forget to mention is it comes with a very nice carrying case and even has extra joystick grips in case you wear the original ones down to the point of no return. Personally, i wish it was a little heavier but i understand that gaming with a heavy controller can get people tired. Therefore, this a a very nice controller that can be customized and it is very well built i would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a decent controller.

We have a lot of ASUS products in our home. Ranging from laptops, to a mesh wireless system, to my 240Hz 4K gaming monitor, and with all of them we have found them to be top in class when it comes to features, performance, and aesthetics. The ASUS ROG Raikiri II is no different. Unboxing & First Impressions When unboxing the ASUS ROG Raikiri II I was immediately met with a controller that is nicer than any controller we've ever owned & that includes some of the "1st party" controllers that were supposedly deluxe or premium. And while they are, and were, they pale in comparison to the Raikiri II. From the feel, to the look, to its being usable on multiple systems it has been night and day better than the other controllers that we have. Rating: 5/5 Gaming Gaming on the Xbox felt familiar, as it should. I was able to pick up and start using it without a delay and I was able to perform in the games just as well as I always do. Since my sons game much more than I do I even let them try out the controller & they absolutely loved it, and they want one of themselves now. I also let my significant other utilizing in her gaming session & she fell absolutely in love with the Raikiri II. She told me I'd have to take it from her "cold, lifeless, hands" which she knew I absolutely would NOT be willing to do. Rating: 5/5 Conclusion The Raikiri II from it's button customization, to it's working even with the iPhone (for some games that we found but not all). I really wish ASUS would either a) make an iOS app for customization, or b) get their website customization working on mobile browsers (if my sub $200 Pavlok Shock Clock Max and my other Pavlok devices can do it then ASUS with their insanely deep pockets can figure it out too!) and because in the year 2026 there is no reason that mobile browsers should not be an option-unless you want to drive people to your mobile (iOS and Android) app. All that said, it isn't a deal breaker fro me, just a slight annoyance that I've tried everything under the sun to fix. Sure I can do it on my desktop or laptop but again, mobile device connectivity & customization should be open to all, not just a few. Overall Rating: 10/10

The Good: - Outstanding precision: In my testing, the anti-drift TMR joysticks and ultra-fast 1,000Hz polling rate translate to extremely tight, responsive control. Movements feel deliberate and accurate. - Versatile connectivity: The tri-mode setup (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired USB-C) makes switching between PC, Xbox, and handheld devices effortless. It’s been a true daily driver across multiple setups. - Premium feel: Textured grips and crisp micro-switch buttons give it a high-end, tactile response that feels durable and satisfying during long sessions. - Deep customization: Programmable rear buttons and adjustable trigger stops allow for meaningful tuning depending on the genre. Once dialed in, it feels tailored to your play style. - Strong battery life: It easily handles extended gaming sessions without constantly needing to be topped off. - The RGB lighting may not serve much of a purpose, but it does look cool! The Bad: - Software limitations: Profile adjustments require a PC, which feels restrictive for console-only players. - High cost: It sits firmly in premium pricing territory, which may be more than casual gamers want to spend. Overall: This controller has become part of my regular rotation. It delivers what I’d call an “audiophile” level experience — not in sound, but in tactile imaging and response clarity. Everything feels precise and intentional. While it’s priced at the higher end, the overall performance and build quality make the price-to-performance ratio very compelling.

Nice controller and the layout is excellent . Love all the face buttons an it’s clicky and tactile. The 4 back buttons are all remappable and it’s easy using a web based software called gear link . I like how the build feels premium and the subtle rgb lighting is a nice touch and fully customizable. I got the gamesir g7 pro prior even though it has nice features with the same tmr sticks, the gamesir feels cheaply built with squeaky buttons in less than 2 weeks. The case provided allows you to charge it while having it in the dock so that’s a plus if you have a dusty house or pets. Overall I would highly recommend it and only reason it’s 1 star shy of a 5/5 is because the rear back buttons are unable to be locked which causes accidental presses at times but I got used to it and you’re able to disable it too.
